One of the Boys

I had to wake up earlier than usual today because I wanted to surprise Kris with seaweed soup for his birthday before he woke up. But it meant that I had to leave the campus to go buy it since there wasn’t any at the school. Wow, I was really putting in some effort for his birthday.

Why am I exactly?

Well, I thought that maybe he wasn’t actually such a bad person. Maybe he was using coldness as a shield.

The soup was still warm when I came back to the dorm. I placed it on the table, reading for eating when he wakes up.

I sat down on our couch and waited for him to wake up. While I wated, I stared at his god-like face.

I was probably considered to be a lucky girl to be in the same school as him, not to mention share the same room as him.

Okay stop thinking weird thoughts, Amber. You’re sounding like a right now.

My stomach suddenly growled.

Oh right, I forgot to eat breakfast.

I left a small note next to the soup before I left the dorm room to get myself some breakfast.

My phone alarm interrupted my sleep as it went off. I groaned while trying to open my eyes to turn off the annoying alarm.

I forced myself up to brush my teeth and then changed into my uniform. As I headed to the door, I noticed something out of place on the table. There was seaweed soup and a note.

I squished my two eyebrows together while I picked up the note to read it.

Happy birthday, you angry bird! Enjoy the seaweed soup I got for you. –Aiden

I widened my eyes. How the hell did she know it was my birthday? Whoever told her is going to get it- wait, did she just call me an angry bird? Do I look like some stupid character in a dumb game?

Since she already bought the soup, I couldn’t just waste it.

I sighed as I sat down on the couch and took several sips before I finished the bowl.

At least I didn’t have to buy breakfast now.

Everyone was here at the usual spot at the café we were always at every morning, except for Kris.

Did he see the soup? Did he even bother to drink it?

I was occupied with my thoughts until I saw Kris walking up to us.

“Happy birthday, hyung!” Tao attempted to hug, only for Kris to reject it.

“Happy birthday, Kris!”

Everyone wished him a happy birthday, but Kris didn’t
