“Really? Are you sure? It was near your bed so I assumed it was something you wore recently.” Minho said, looking down at the jacket he was wearing. Woohyun let out a laugh.

“Of course I know what’s mine and what’s Sungkyu’s.” He said, looking amused. “He probably was standing next to my bed when he took it off.” Minho looked over at the other curiously.

“Does he make it a habit to strip next to your bed?” Woohyun instantly recognized the hinting and became slightly flustered.

“We are two guys who share a room! We don’t think about stuff like that!” He protested, suddenly feeling weird seeing Sungkyu’s jacket on his body. It was like something a couple would do. Minho laughed a little as he thought to himself. He wouldn’t tell the other but sometimes Taemin liked wearing Minho’s shirts around the house. Woohyun and Minho were, in the end, very different. This thought led to Minho’s next words.

“So, what are you like?” He asked suddenly. Woohyun’s flustered face turned to one of confusion.

“What?” He asked.

“I don’t know you very well so it’s not easy to act like you. So, what are you like?” Minho asked again. Woohyun thought about this for a moment. It wasn’t really easy to tell someone about yourself. Wasn’t that better for someone else to tell?

“Sungkyu is the leader. He wasn’t originally but the old one left before we debuted so the pressure of leader was put on him-”

“Why are you telling me about Sungkyu?” Minho interrupted. Woohyun flashed him an annoyed look.

“How am I supposed to tell you what I’m like? How can I know something like that? A person only knows how they react to others right? So I’ll tell you about my team. Don’t worry about being me, just be familiar with them.” Minho couldn’t help but think how wise Woohyun sounded. After a moment, the other boy continued explaining his team.

“Sungkyu has a lot of pressure on him because he is the leader. We give him a hard time joking but we all know he works the hardest. He loves all the members deeply but has to be stern on them. He has the hardest time with Sungjong and Myungsoo because they are stubborn too. Because we are roommates, Sungkyu and I are kind of like a married couple. I always do what Sungkyu tells me to and back him up.” Woohyun stopped for a moment, his eyes void of focus. Minho could tell from the warmth in the way Woohyun had spoken that he really loved his leader.

“Dongwoo always acts simple and cheerful but he’s a genius and he’d be the first to cry. He is always in his own world and it’s best to just let him do whatever he wants. He really likes skinship so don’t be surprised when he touches your .” Minho noticed that Woohyun had said ‘your ’ not ‘my ’. He must be starting to accept their situation.  “He’s the secondary leader. Then you have Sungyeol.” A smile flashed across the boy’s face.

“Sungyeol is the best. He’s a prankster like me so we often come up with ways to surprise the others. He’s really playful and smart so people used to call him the choding but he’s also really quiet. He worries the most.” Woohyun glanced up at Minho who was listening carefully. Even though the other would be living amongst his team, maybe there were still things he shouldn’t tell.

“Hoya is the most responsible member. He is really mature. He is really good at dancing and always works out in the morning. His image is really masculine but he’s really sensitive. Even though people think of him as being manly he’s actually really cute. He played a gay character in a drama so he has a lot of fan boys. It doesn’t seem to bother him though.” Woohyun smirked to himself at this thought.

“Myungsoo…he’s the most popular member. His image is really chic and cold but that’s not him at all. He is super emotional and really awkward sometimes. He really likes to laugh though and it’s fun when he laughs. He gets embarrassed easily so he is fun to pick on but I feel the most awkward around him.” Woohyun dodged Minho’s curious stare and moved on to the last member of the group.

“The maknae is Sungjong. Everyone loves to pick on him, especially Sungyeol and me. He gets angry really easy but he won’t tell anyone about it. He bottles it up and then just ends up throwing things around or yelling. He’s really good at imitating girl group dances. Sungjong…” Woohyun glanced around and lowered his voice as he moved closer to Minho. “To explain him simply, basically…Sungjong is a girl.” He leaned back again and let out a laugh. Minho couldn’t help but smile at this too.   

The two became silent as Minho’s phone vibrated against the wood surface of the table. They both knew who it must be. Woohyun looked to Minho, trying to read his face but the other boy was pushing his chair back.

“That should be enough for now. I’m leaving first.” He said calmly. He gave Woohyun a pat on the back on his way. Even though they still weren’t friends…Woohyun felt sorry for him. With a sigh he picked up the phone. He didn’t have the luxury of ignoring Taemin’s response. After all, it was him and not Minho who would have to go home to the boy.

The dorm was empty when Minho returned. He had reason to believe they would be there shortly but he didn’t want to see them. He changed out of Sungkyu’s clothes. He didn’t know which were Woohyun’s. Tomorrow he would take a picture of them to ask the other boy but for tonight he didn’t care. He stripped down to his boxers and climbed into his bed.

He had made it just in time. Almost as soon as he closed his eyes Minho heard the front door open. It sounded like things hadn’t calmed down from earlier. There was a slamming door in the distance and then the bedroom door opened. Sungkyu entered the dark room quietly. Minho decided to act as though he were already asleep. He could tell the leader hadn’t moved away from the door yet. Was he watching him? Then there was a quiet sigh and he heard the boy move towards his own bed. He must have just let himself fall onto the bed based on the sound. If the room hadn’t been so quiet Minho would have missed the words that were whispered into the darkness.

“Come back soon Woohyun. I can’t keep doing this without you.”

Woohyun stood outside the door of the SHINee dorm. He looked down at the text from Taemin. He had already read it a number of times but still wasn’t sure he believed it.

Even though he had read the text he wasn’t sure what he would be coming home to. Was the maknae really going to be ok with his ‘boyfriend’ suddenly being distant? Woohyun shook his head. No matter what there really wasn’t a point to putting it off.

Once he entered the living room he knew things weren’t going to be easy. Everyone was together. The TV was on but it seemed like Jonghyun and Taemin were paying more attention to Onew and Key who were talking. When he walked in the group welcome
