Soon enough, the sun was slowly setting and the afternoon was dissolving into the night. Amber hadn’t realized that she had been sitting there playing her guitar throughout the entire night. She had probably skipped lunch and without her realizing and now she was hungry for food. The camcorder that had been sitting on her arm rest started making a blipping sound indicating that it was low on battery. Amber sighed as she grabbed her camcorder.

“Damn it. Should’ve charged it last night.” Amber mumbled as she decided to shut off her camcorder.

Henry who had been sitting next to her had probably fallen asleep a few hours ago. As Amber was cleaning up her stuff, she noticed Henry next to her. She was getting ready to leave but then hesitated whether she should wake him up or not.

“Hey.” Amber kicked the side of his leg and it made Henry stir on the chair.

“Hey. Wake up.” Amber continued to kick the side of his leg lightly.

Henry stretched as he sat up before removing him sunglasses.

“What time is it?” Henry yawned as he clipped his sunglasses to his shirt.

“Almost 6.” Amber slipped her hands into her pants pocket.

“That late?” Henry stood up as he straightened out his clothes.

Amber turned around and decided to leave. She wasn’t going to spend any time longer there.

“Where are you going?” Henry asked.

Amber continued to walk away ignoring Henry who was obviously following her from behind. Henry widened his strides and soon enough was walking side by side with Amber. Amber felt annoyed and stopped walking as she glared at him.

“What?” Henry asked when Amber stopped walking.

“Can you not follow me around?” Amber asked with a hand on her hip.

“Depends. Where are you planning to go now?” Henry asked shrugging his shoulders.

“Wherever I’d like to go.” Amber said as she looked away from Henry.

“I’m hungry. Let’s go and eat.” Henry said as he wrapped an arm around Amber’s shoulder and started walking towards the hotel’s main restaurant.

Amber pushed his arm away and walked ahead of him towards the restaurant. Henry trailed after her like an obedient pet dog and it annoyed Amber. When Amber sat down at an empty table, Henry walked towards the empty seat opposite her to sit down but Amber stopped him.

“Nope! Shoo! Go sit somewhere else.” Amber said as he shoved him aside and quickly sat down.

Not long after she sat, a waiter comes up to her table to take her order.

“I’ll have the carbonara pasta and a glass of iced lemon tea. Thanks” Amber ordered.

“And you sir?” The young waiter asked Henry.

“He’s not with me.” Amber answered quickly before Henry could say anything.

“Is that so? Sir, would you like me to bring you to an empty table and take your order?” The waiter asked Henry.

Henry didn’t answer the waiter’s question and walked over to the empty table right across Amber’s. The waiter followed after him and took down Henry’s order before leaving. Amber ignored Henry who was sitting across her as she opened up her video cam to watch her previous recordings.

Henry played with the napkin laid on the table but he couldn’t help but glance towards her from time to time. Amber was smiling as she watched her videos which Henry found to be a very cute sight.

“Sir?” A voice pulled him back to reality.

Henry looked up and saw the same waiter from before holding onto a plate and a glass of drink. When Henry realized the reason the waiter was doing, he quickly gave way for his food.

“Enjoy your meal sir.” The waiter smiled and left.

Henry picked up his fork and poked into the fries he had. He glanced back at Amber as he slowly fed himself. Amber hadn’t touched her food and was still immersed in her videos.

After Amber had finally finished watching the last video, she placed the video cam aside and looked down at her food. It had probably been about 10 minutes since her food arrived and the steam had disappeared indicating that the food had cooled down. She grabbed for her fork but could sense as if someone was looking at her. She cocked one eyebrow and looked up to see Henry looking back at her.

Henry gave her one of his cocky handsome boy smile when she looked at him. Amber wasn’t much impressed and decided to go on eating her food. But the uncomfortable feeling that he was watching her continued to make her stop midway and stare back at him. After the second time she had looked up, Amber decided that she was going to give him a piece of her mind for staring at her.

Her hand that was holding onto the fork curled into a fist as she thumped the table trying to glare at him at the same time. But as soon as she had a full look at him while she glared, he wasn’t smiling at her but instead he had a goofy look on his face.  The sudden look made her burst into laughter.

Henry saw Amber laughing and it made him smile too but not long after that, Amber stopped laughing and put on a serious look on her face.

“Stop staring at me.” She said it quickly before she turned back to her food.

Henry was taken aback but didn’t care. He continued to watch her eat. His food was barely touched but again he didn’t mind.

“What are you a ert? Stop staring at me I tell you.” Amber said as she looked up.

Henry attempted to make her laugh again as he stuck a couple of bendy straws up his nose and made a goofy look again. Amber couldn’t help but laugh. She wanted to stop laughing but the sight was way too different then Henry’s usual playboy looks that it just made her laugh real mad.

Henry couldn’t help but chuckle watching how hard she was laughing at the moment. When Amber’s laugh had finally died down, Amber wiped the tear she had and cleared her voice before giving Henry a look. Henry wasn’t making a funny face anymore.

“Mind if I sit there?” He asked looking at the seat in front of her.

Amber didn’t answer him and went back to her food. While she swirled the pasta around her fork, she kicked the seat slowly. Henry smiled as he grabbed his plate and glass and hurriedly sat down across her.

“Happy now?” Amber asked sarcastically.

Henry didn’t answer that question. Throughout dinner, the both of them finally had a proper conversation as they ate. Henry would joke and Amber would laugh. Maybe it wouldn’t be that bad to have him around for the holidays. Maybe, just maybe.  Amber smiled as she ate a bite of her food. Henry too grinned looking at the boyish girl sitting in front of him taking a bite of her food right after a laugh from one of his jokes that he himself didn't even know if it was funny enough to be laughed at.

After dinner, Henry and Amber walked back to their rooms walking side by side, neither said a word. Upon reaching at the front of Amber’s room, the both of them awkwardly stood by the steps.

“You should go to your room now.” Amber said trying to get rid of him so that they wouldn’t continue to feel the tension.

“Owh, urm.. err… yeah.” Henry nodded his head as he took a step back.

Amber too turned around and headed up the stairs. Henry hadn’t budge yet at first but finally turned around to walk away when Amber called him. Henry enthusiastically turned to face her.

“Thanks. For tonight.” Amber said as she looked down on her pair of loafers before looking up at Henry.

Henry smiled and nodded his head, “Night.”

“Night.” Amber answered as Henry turned around and headed for his room. Amber too retreated for her own room.

Amber hurried into her room and shut the doors. Without getting out of her loafers, Amber found herself rushing to the sliding door as she sneakily pushed the curtains slightly enough for her to look out. From where she stood, she could see Henry making his way to his room before he stopped right in front of his door and turned towards her cabin. Amber was taken aback when she felt like he was staring right back at her and it made her hurriedly close the curtains.

Henry saw the curtains to her room moved swiftly as soon as he turned to face it. It somehow made him smile imagining Amber standing behind the curtains sneaking on him. Henry chuckled lightly before he made his way into his own room.

A night that would bring him into a deeper dream that was like a midsummer.

Hey guys! Here's a new chapter updated after a long while... I hope you guys enjoyed it!! And sorry if it's a bit short...

But I'm really sad to say that I'll be going on a hiatus for around 3-4 months maybe until April because of my studies... I come online rarely when I'm at my college dorm since the internet connection there so I don't really have time to write too since I need to prepare for my finals. I hope you guys will be able to wait patiently again... Sorry that I make you guys wait all the time for this fic of mine... *bows to readers*

I'll make sure to update you guys on this fic once my finals are over and my sem break begins in April... 

P/S: I decided to change the title of this fic cause I just thought it'll be nicer than 10 days...
