MeiXing's POV

“Hey, where’s Taemin?” I ask Minho pushing a box across the floor.

He laughs, “I forced him to be face to face with YuNa.”

I frown, “They don’t get along very well though, why’d you do that?”

He looks up at me with a smirk. “Exactly.”

There’s a thump from YuNa’s room and I turn to run to her room.

“Mei, don’t worry about her,” Key says grabbing my wrist.

“But,” I start and he gives me a look.

I pivot away and then run to her room.

Kibum tackles me and I land on top of him.

“Do you really not trust Taemin?”

I pout, “It’s not that…I just uh…”

He kisses me on the nose. “I already told you not to worry.”

“Ah, Taemin,” Minho says and Kibum and I jump up.

“I think I need to go,” he says not looking at anyone.

Minho gives him a look that says “grow up.”

“Hyung, I really need to go home.” He grabs at his stomach.

“I can take you,” YuHee offers standing up off the floor.

“I think it’d be better if we all just went together,” Kibum says grabbing my hand.

“Gotta go Mei,” he says and kisses my cheek.

“Call me okay?”

He smiles and I give him a hug.

“Minho, you come too,” Kibum says parting the two old friends.

“Are you staying in Seoul for long?” he asks.

YuHee shrugs. “I’m not sure but I can get your number from YuNa and text you later. Is that okay?”

He smiles, “Of course.”

The three of them leave, and the apartment remains the same as it did before they came over.

We knock on YuNa’s door and find her typing away on her laptop.

“What’s up?” I ask sitting across from her on her bed.

She continues typing without a word to me.

“What happened with Taemin?” YuHee questions as she leans against the bed post.

“Nothing happened,” she says a little too fast.

“Nothing?”

She only moves her gaze from the computer screen to me.

“Did he tell you different? Nothing happened.”

She clicks at the keys faster.

Oh-yea…she’s hiding something.

YuNa's POV

I walk across the practice room and take my spot in the back.

“YuNa, would you like to learn the dance?” Onew offers watching me in the mirror as is sit.

“Don’t you need to practice?” I ask setting my notebook on the floor.

He looks around. “No one is here. Come on, Minho told me you used to dance. As the leader I have to be early and there’s nothing to do for the next ten minutes.”

I shrug and get up.

“I’m going to warn you, I may give you nightmares.”

He laughs, “That’s okay, I’m sure you’re fine.”

He starts to explain how to make the fluid movements that are a cross between a moonwalk and the running man. I glide across the floor move backwards while looking like im taking steps to the side.

“Good,” he says and then I attempt the next ten steps without instruction.

He looks at me in disbelief. “You said you weren’t very good.”

“I’m better at making up steps instead of learning them.”

I continue with the dance making up what I don’t remember.

Jonghyun and Key walk in and the four of us do the dance from the top. I quickly pickup what I got wrong and by the time Minho wanders in I’ve got it down.

“You learned this from yesterday?” Jonghyun says amazed at my seemingly effortless movements.

“Pretty much,” I say perfecting a move I had a little confusion with.

Minho laughs. “You know you’re dancing Taemin’s part?”

I glare at him through the glass. “Can we do it just one last time? I think I got it.”

They nod and I get lost in the movements and music. I barely realize when Taemin walks behind me and starts dancing too.

“If you were just a little taller you could be my replacement,” he jokes.

I walk away without looking him in the eyes. I still can’t wrap my mind around yesterday.

They do a full practice of the dance and Taemin shows off by adding an intensity that I can’t have with a female body.

I go back to writing notes and take a snapshot of them.

When they leave for a break I follow them and corner Taemin in a hallway.

“Hey shortie,” he smiles and I can only stare at him.

“What is going through your head?” I ask him arms crossed.

“Well right now I’m trying to figure out why you keep following us around when MeiXing isn’t here.”

I roll my eyes, “Do you honestly not pay attention? I’m the writer for your new blog.”

“Ah, that makes sense now.”

My eyes narrow, “Stop changing the subject, what was yesterday about?”

He laughs, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

I poke him in the chest. “Don’t play me.”

He looks around and then opens the door to the nearby room.

“Come on, no one’ll find us.”

I walk in and he flips the lights on.

“I don’t know what that was about yesterday,” he says shutting the door. “I just did it and I’m sorry.”

“Did you tell anyone?” I ask tilting my head.

His eyes avoid mine. “No. Minho and Key think that I was getting sick, which isn’t that far from the truth.”

“What do you mean?” I ask, tapping into my reporter skills.

He shakes his head. “You make me feel sick.”

I’m taken aback. “I make you feel sick?”

“It’s like I’m being kicked in the stomach over and over. It’s especially bad when you and Minho are together around me.”

That doesn’t seem right.

“It’s not really kicking; it’s more like someone’s touching the inside of my stomach.”

I make a face, “You mean like ticklish?”

He claps his hands. “Exactly like that.”

Wait? So he’s nervous around me? Right…?

“I don’t understand why you would kiss me if I make you sick.”

He ruffles his hair.

“it was more or less an impulse. I’m sorry, but the feeling in my stomach went away.” He touches right below his chest.

“Does it bother you now?” I ask touching his hand.

He pulls his arm away. “That makes my hand feel weird.”

Oh god, I didn’t realize he was so innocent.

I look him in the eyes and take his hand.

“Do you want to kiss me now?” I ask placing his hand at my face.

He nods.

I’m about to just drop it all together and tell him that he’s nervous but his hand wrap around my face.

“You are the most interesting girl I’ve come across,” he says placing his forehead against mine.

My breathing stutters. He’s so close.

“Could I kiss you?”

I just about laugh but hold it in.

I hum a yes and he presses his lips to mine.

I wrap my arms around his waist and lean my weight onto him.

He kisses me this time more forcefully than yesterday but still as clumsily.

I guide his lips with mine and before I know it he’s pulling me closer wrapping his arms around me. I bring his face closer to mine and his tongue brushes my top lip.

I push his chest softly.

“Taemin?”

His eyes look at me and seem to stare through me.

He kisses my mouth. “Nuna?”

He kisses me again and I give up. “More like this,” I tell him and gently kiss his pouty bottom lips. He chuckles and does the same to me, fingertips grazing the sides of my face.

i always imagined that if taemin did really fall in love he'd be way too imature to realize what it was. so that's kind of what i'm going for here.

I'll continue the minho and yuhee story in this too mainly because it comes back later anyways.
