I'm entering to Carrick's room, and my heart sinks as I see Krystal sleeps uncomfortably on a chair next to his bed. She looks tired and pale. Jessica stands up and slowly ease lie her mom down on the sofa. Carrick is still sleep peacefully.

 

"How is he doing?" I asked

 

"Still has not wake. I'm worry." Jessica said 

 

"Don't worry, everything will be fine" 

 

Mrs. Jung and Krystal shift. Both of us freeze at the spot, try not to make a move. Krystal continues sleep soundly, but Mrs. Jung stands up immediately as she sees me. 

 

"She looks pale" Mrs. Jung said 

 

"It has been hell for her the past 5 years" she continued. 

 

I quickly walk over to her, scoop her in my arms and carry her to the sofa. Her scent hits me and all of our happy , sorrow and hurt memory come back to me. She's taller, beautiful and too y. As I put her down on the sofa, she starts to talk. 

 

"Aiden please don't leave me" her eyes still close. My feet rooted on the round unable to have the strength to let her go. I want to hold her, tightly in my arms and tell her that I ---

 

"urh...." Carrick called as I lie Krystal down then turn to him. He weakly call again. 

 

"Carrick, it's me. Can you hear me" I ask 

 

"Y...yes" he slowly open his eyes. 

 

"Can you breath?" I ask

 

"Y...yes" 

 

"Honey, oh thanks god. Are you okay?" Mrs. Jung sat down next to him

 

"Daddy...how are you feel now?" Jessica bends over to caress his cheek

 

"I'm fine now...Krystal? Where is she?" he looks at me

 

"She's sleeping on the sofa." I step aside a little bit and show him where his daughter is. 

 

"Aiden and Krystal finally meet?" he lighten up as he asks

 

"Not yet...but soon. Right Aiden?" Jessica glazes at me

 

"Y...yes" her glaze is a killer 

 

"Don't afraid him away" Carrick  said 

 

"Aiden...you now know my illness. Could it be enough evidence show to you that our family need you?" he continues and looks at me impassively 

 

"Please...don't say that...I will send you to the hospital in Harvard. They have the best technique, staff, and everything that will help you" I said

 

"No...no...no need to waste their time on this old man. This is what I get for my age. All I need is you to taking of my family and my company if anything happen to me. To be honest, on my will, I have written clearly that you will take over my company. Tomorrow, I will transfer the company under your name." he coughed 

 

"He's right. Jessica and Krystal can't handle these complicated work. Please help us out." Mrs. Jung said

 

I bend down on my knee, so I can be at the eyes-level with Carrick. 

 

"I promise to taking care of your company and your family" 

 

"Thank you..." he weakly said 

 

"I think you should take a rest... I will taking of everything for you first thing tomorrow." I stand up 

 

"other thing...uh...I want to play with my grandchild before they bury me." he grabs my hand 

 

I smile. 

 

Before I leave, I turn and look at the girl now sleeping comfortably on the sofa. I take off my jacket and place it over her. I say goodbye to go back to the hotel  so i can change my clothes and take Jessica back to her dorm because she has schedule. We keep quiet for the whole ride. She sits beside me, Katrina is sit next to driver, Taylor. Strangely, Katrina keeps staring at Jessica and it's make her uncomfortable. I promise to pick her up at 7:00 and we can go to the hospital together.

 

 

Krystal' POV 

 

I feel warm and comfortably as I slowly open my eyes. 

 

"Honey, you wake" my mom voice egos and startles me 

 

"Mom" I rise 

 

"how long have I been sleeping here? Who jacket is this?" I stiff the jacket. The perfume and the body scent is so familiar to me

 

"two hours...that's Aiden's jacket...he was here...he was the one carry you from here to that sofa." He was here, carrying me. 

 

"Why didn't you wake me up?" I panic 

 

"He doesn't want to." my mom said. She walks up to me, and hugs me. I want to be in his embrace. Why did he do that to me? Does he know how much I miss him? 

 

"Don't give up on him sweetie. Give him some more time, he's here. Maybe there's chance that he wants you back. Just give him sometime to get ready. He knows how you feel" she stokes my back 

 

"How do you know?" 

 

"when he put you down on the sofa, he didn't want to let go of you. And you were talking. You said 'Aiden...please don't leave me'" 

 

"He's stubborn man" I said while crying on my mom shoulder

 

"and I love that man" 

 

The nurse enters to check on my dad. Surprisingly, Minho oppa arrives seconds after that. 

"Krystal, are you okay?" he rushed and sit next to me. Then he pulls me in, but I push him away. My mom frowns as well as my dad. But then my parents look away, they don't like him at all. 

 

"excuse me, can you send me the check of this room. I would like to transfer him to better hospital?" Suddenly, Minho stands up and said to the nurse who is about to leave. We grasp. 

 

"Sir...I think this room's bill has been taking care of." 

 

We grasp. 

 

"oh yeah I forgot, I was the one who took care of it." he shakes his head

 

"Sir...I think the one payed his bill was Dr. Liu" 

 

My dad chuckles. I smile, because we all know who Dr. Liu is. Minho turns and looks at us all embarrass. He should. 

 

"Mr. Jung, how are you doing?" he turns to my dad

 

"I am fine" my dad looks unpleasant

 Then we all quiet again. 

 

"Mr. and Mrs. Jung, I want to ask your permission to date Krystal officially" he grabs my hand 

 

"Take your hand off my daughter before I call her ---" 

 

"Dad" Jessica runs in and startles us. Behind her is ....        AIDEN.
