Heart
jiraniku, 2008
The heart is a fragile thing
It breaks like glass with jagged edges
That cut 'til you bleed & cry in pain.
It is no wonder why we guard it fiercely
And why it means so much when we give it away
Some hearts are more fragile than others
Considering they’ve already been broken. You’ll marvel at its’ resilience
Never giving up and eternally hopeful, The wounds healed by time
Rarely hearts with love pure & true
Sparkle brightly above others like crystal
That when broken shatter into a
Million beautiful pieces, like stars
Twinkling in the vast
empty sky
Emptiness
A yearning that
Has burned a hole
In my heart to be
Once again whole
- what is the cure to a broken heart?
