The Beach
-ukinarij, 2006
Down by the beach
Where you and I stood
The sun was high
And the sky was blue
Clouds drifted by
And the seabirds flew
Down by the beach
Where you and I stayed
The waves were crashing
Over the powdery sand
The wind was blowing
From a far-off land
Down by the beach
Where you and I talked
The sea was shimmering
From the radiant heat
The trees were swaying
To an unknown beat
You looked at the sea
Then smiled at me
My heart was pounding
And I felt like fainting
Down by the beach
Where you and I stood
Then our time was up
Though I wish it stopped
Cause I’ve never felt more alone
As we returned home
Away from the beach
Where you and I stood
