Broken
Poems and Metaphors
If you are of the opinion that the contemplation of suicide is sufficient evidence of a poetic nature,
do not forget that actions speak louder than words.
Fran Lebowitz
It’s strange to think that when your heart breaks for the first time, the shattering sound seems so loud it breaks your own ears but the world doesn’t take notice.
Days pass by as if nothing of significance just happened.
The world moves on as if everything’s the same except you.
Because everyday you brave to put a smile on your face and pretend that breathing doesn’t hurt.
Only you know that you were changed, possibly forever.
The Wind Taught Me I Was Wrong
jiraniku, 2012
I whispered all my thoughts to the wind
Hoping it will carry my message to you
But it blew on and went past you
I poured all my love to the wind
Hoping it will embrace you, caress and kiss you
But it blew on and went past you
I thought that true love if it is really true
Doesn’t need an answer
The wind taught me I was wrong
Broken
How do you put together
the pieces of a broken heart?
How do you put back
what’s been torn apart?
Like humpty dumpty
My heart had a great fall
And there’s nothing
Anyone could do at all
- feeling like Humpty Dumpty
