NO ONE'S P.O.V

As Emma walked into the classroom, she played with her skirt nervously. She made her way slowly to her seat and then looked at Hoya. He smiled brightly at her like nothing had happened. She looked down and quickly went to her seat. She looked at the empty seat beside her, Kikwang wasn't in today and she was so relieved, she just wanted to be alone today.

As the maths lesson began, the atmosphere was different everyone was much more quiet today. Emma started to think about Hoya and about what he said. How did he except her to forget? Did it really mean nothing to him? She started doodling in her maths book paying no attention to the lesson or her teacher.

"Emma, so if x = 3, what would be y?" said her teacher frowning, she knew Emma wasn't paying attention. Emma was still in her own little world.

"EMMA!" shouted her teacher. Emma jumped at her teacher's sudden outburst.

"I'm sorry Hoya" she shouted sitting up straight. The whole class turned around to stare at Emma. Emma then realised what she has said and turned bright red, she looked down at her desk.

Hoya looked at her, he couldn't help but smile a bit. She was so cute.

"Emma, pay attention." Ms Shin said with a smirk on her face. "If you and Howon have some personal issues, please sort it out OUTSIDE school"

The whole class giggled. Emma and Hoya blushed.

"Sorry Ms Shin" Emma said bowing her head. Emma then sat up and avoided eye contact with Hoya for the rest of the lesson.

RING RING! RING RING!

"Class dismissed. Remember to do pages 44-45 in your textbooks or detention. And Emma, by next lesson make sure you apologise to Howon personally"

Emma looked down in embarassment and quickly walked out of the classroom. 

"Emma, wait up!" called Hoya. Emma groaned at his voice and tried to quickly walk away. She could hear Hoya's footsteps hurrying along behind her. She tried to walk faster.

"There, gotcha!" said Hoya grabbing on to Emma's arm. Emma stiffened at the contact and her heart started to race. Hoya pulled her arm so she was facing him.

"Why are you walking away so quickly?" he said smiling at her. Emma looked up and stared into his eyes. *Can't you see I'm hurting Hoya, why can't you just leave me be?* she thought to herself.

"Oh, I just needed to talk to Seohyun" she said playing with her hair nervously. Hoya opened his mouth to say something but Emma was already starting to walk away.

"Sorry Hoya, Seohyun really needs me, I have to go." she then quickly waved goodbye and started to power walk away. Hoya then stood there awkwardly scratching his head. He then turned around and started walking in the opposite direction.

"Emma, can we really not be friends?"

EMMA'S P.O.V

Thank god it was lunch. It not being in lessons with Seohyun and Suji. I needed my girls. I then walked into the canteen and sat down on a table and got out my lunch. 

"EMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" shouted Dongwoo running towards me. I looked up and couldn't help but smile broadly. The rest of the Infinite boys looked at him in embarassment. Dongwoo then sat next to me and put his arm around my shoulder and gave it a little squeeze. I knew that was his way of comforting me after what happened at party. I looked at him and smiled gratefully. The rest of the Infinite boys except Hoya then joined us one by one. 

All of them looked at me with sympathy, I hated it, I felt so pathetic. I decided I didn't want their pity.

"Guys, why do you all look so sad today?" I said trying to sound as happy as I could. They were still uncertain. I laughed at their worried faces. 

"Aigoooo, you guys are all so cute!" I said pinching Dongwoo's cheeks. "If you guys are worried about me then there is nothing to be worried about, I'm perfectly fine!"

"Are you sure?" said Sungjong raising his eyebrow. I ruffled his hair. I looked at them and sighed at their sad expressions. 

"Look" I said pointing at my face. "SMILEEEEEEEEE" I then did a creepy Chester cat smile showing all my teeth,

"Arasso! Arasso! We get it!" said Myungsoo hitting me around the head. "Please, stop smiling like that." 

I rubbed my head in pain and then continued to smile at Myungsoo creepily. 

"Hyung, tell her to stop!" he said grabbing Sunggyu. Sunggyu just laughed and joined in with me. Myungsoo screamed.

"Ah, stop it guys! It's so creepy!" he said hiding his face with his hands. We all laughed and then the rest of Infinite joined in. Then at that point Suji and Seohyun started to walk over.

"SUJIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" screamed Myungsoo running over to Suji. He jumped on to her. Woohyun frowned.

"Suji, they are bullying me!" he said holding on to her arm. She blushed.

"Aw, I'll look after you" she said laughing, they then both went to sit down. Myungsoo was still holding on to Suji's arm when they sat down. Woohyun then stood up and sat between them kicking Myungsoo in the process. 

"OW! What was that for?" Myungsoo said rubbing his leg.

"For touching Suji" Woohyun whispered making sure Suji couldn't hear. I laughed at his immatureness. 

Seohyun then sat next to me and I smiled at her. 

"So, did you confess?" she said, her eyes were filled with hope.

"Nope" I said getting out my lunch. Seohyun frowned.

"Why not? Did you back out of it?" she said. I sighed.

"Nope, I was going to but my heart got trampled on and I got rejected before I even got to say anything." I said playing with my hair. Seohyun looked shocked, she put her hand on mine and squeezed it. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap. I'll tell you the whole story later but right now I just need to forget it" I said wiping my eyes. I couldn't believe I was going to cry again. Seohyun smiled and gave me a quick hug. I thanked her and continued to eat my lunch. I realised I was so lucky to have such amazing friends.

Halfway through lunch Seohyun had to go and meet Yonghwa and I was alone again. The Infinite boys were arguing about girl groups and Woohyun and Suji went off to the library together. I just sat there and played with my food but then I felt someone hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?" I froze and my heart started to race. Where was Suji and Seohyun when I needed them? What am I meant to do? 

"It's me!" said Hoya sitting next to me. I avoided making eye contact with him. The whole of Infinite looked at me with panic on their faces and the atmosphere became awkward. It was like they were waiting for me to react and they were waiting to see how I was going to react. I couldn't act weak, I had to be strong. I had already broken me and Hoya's friendship before and I wasn't prepared to do it again. I had to hide my feelings, I had to forget them for now. I took a deep breath.

"Aish, you are so immature" I said hitting him softly on his arm. He pulled a funny face. Infinite sighed with relief. I could tell they were so happy things weren't awkward.

"So what's cooking, good looking?" he said snatching my chopsticks from me. 

"Yummy! Kimbap!" he said eating my lunch. I frowned taking my chopsticks back. I hit him on the head.

"Eat your own lunch, fatty" I said. He pulled a crying face. 

"I have no lunch, oppa" he said pouting at me. I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. I got the lunch that I made for him out and gave it to him. 

"Thank you, Hobbit" he said patting my head and messing up my hair. My heart stopped. What was he doing to me? He then opened his lunch.

"Wow, it all looks so nice!" he smiled at me gratefully. Infinite looked at Hoya's lunch box in envy.

"Let me eat some!" said Sungyeol running over to Hoya to steal some food.

"No, it's all mine!" said Hoya. I smiled as Hoya and Sungyeol started arguing. 

"If I'm not mistaken Emma, it looks like you put extra effort in Hoya's lunch today" said Dongwoo nudging me. I looked away, I could feel my cheeks burning up.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." I said uncomfortably. I kept my head down. Dongwoo laughed and pinched my cheek softly. 

"Aw Emma what are we gonna do with you eh?" he said chuckling before turning away to eat some of Hoya's lunch.

I sighed.

What AM I going to do? I guess Hoya wants everything to be normal again. I guess he wants us just to be friends. I just can't help but think about how ironic it is. Only a couple of days ago, I would have done anything for me and Hoya to be best friends again but now look at us, it's the opposite. It's funny how someone's feelings can change so quickly. One day you're just friends and the next day you can't get them out of your head. Hoya, how am I meant to act around you now when I'm so used to just being your bestfriend? How am I meant to act when I don't want to be just  friends? How am I meant to act when I want to be yours?

I hope that wasn't too boring guys! I'm sorry for not updating much but my exams are coming uo and they are the BIG ONES. They practically decide everything about my future but sorry for not updating anyway! Argh Hoya, why you so annoying!? Just confess to Emma please, that would just solve everything! I've been neglecting Kikwang alot but don't worry he will be in the next chapter so don't worry all you Kima shippers (aw, their couple name is so cute! ^.^) Thank you for reading and please keep on reading!
