"Bring me to her now!"

"Mr Jung, of course i will"
"If im not bringing you there then it defeats my purpose of coming over" said Yuri as she led Mr Jung out of the room.

"What happened to Sooyeon?"
"Why didnt she tell me?" asked Mr Jung worriedly as he followed Yuri closely behind.

"I think, its better if she tell your personally Mr Jung"
"Im in no position to tell you about her condition" said Yuri sadly with a soft sigh.

Minutes later, the two had reached Jessica's ward.
Standing outside Jessica's ward, Mr Jung was shocked to see so many people there.

"Whats wrong Tae?"

"Jessica just had her dinner"
"Then the doctors came in saying that they are coming over for the second round of injection for Jessica"
"And advises us to stay outside first" said Taeyeon as she diverted her attention to Mr Jung.
"May i know who is this..?"

Yuri turned.

"Oh, he's Jessica's grandfather"

"Omo!"
"Yul unnie!"
"Jessica's gonna be really mad at you now!" gasped Yoona worriedly.
"She told us so many times not to tell!"

Mr Jung looked at the two with a bewildered look as the two interacted with each other at a super speed.

"I dont care Yoona"
"She needs him, at least"
"I know, i can see it in her eyes" insisted Yuri firmly.

But before she could continue, she heard soft cries from the room.
Her heart skipped a beat and rushed into the ward,
beside Jessica.

"Whats wrong sweetheart..?" asked Yuri tenderly as she caressed Jessica's back gently.

Yuri turned to the doctors with an expression that showed that they were like kinda in a hard position.

"Whats wrong?" asked Yuri to the doctors.

"Jessica-sshi"
"We know it hurts for her but shes so tensed up again"
"We cant get the needle in" said the doctors with a helpless shrug.

Yuri's face saddened and turned to Jessica.

"Sweetheart, let the doctors finish what they need okay?"
"I'll be here for you, i'll hurt just a little alright?"
"Please sweetheart" pleaded Yuri as she whispered softly into Jessica's ears, caressing the back of her hair.

"Yul.."
"I really.. really want to.. let them finish it.."
"But it.. really hurts so much.." sobbed Jessica as she held tightly onto Yuri's hands.
"Please.. Yul.."

"Sweetheart, we know you're strong" started Yuri as she take a seat beside Jessica.

While talking, Yuri motioned for the doctors to start.
With a nod, the doctors continued with what they were doing.

"We know you're strong"
"Im sure you can overcome such things right?"
"Remember the times where Sekyung went against-"

Jessica squeezed Yuri's hands tightly with her eyes closed.

"Yul.."
"Yul Yul Yul Yul Yul Yul!" cried Jessica in tears.

"Shhh.."
"You're doing great sweetheart"
"Im here dont worry" cooed Yuri lovingly as she patted Jessica's hands.

"We're done Jessica-sshi" informed the doctors before leaving the room.

After the doctors left, Mr Jung entered the ward with an angry expression.
With his arms chucked to his side, Mr Jung stormed over to Jessica's side.

"See, i told you sweetheart"
"You did well" smiled Yuri encouraging.
"Someone's here to visit you" added Yuri and exited the room swiftly before Jessica could scream at her.

"Sooyeon!" boomed a dull, low voice.

Jessica's eyes widened as she slowly tilt her head a little to the source of the voice.
A man, in his leather shoes, with a slight belly.
Looking up, it was Jessica's grandfather.

"Haraborji..?" called Jessica in tears.

"Whats going on?!"
"Why didnt you tell me you're in the hospital!" scolded Mr Jung with a hurt expression.
"Haraborji told you before, told you that you can confide to me"
"Whenever and whatever you want!"
"How could you not tell me that you're in the hospital!"

"Chaeseonghamnida haraborji.."
"Im just.."

"Just thinking that you shouldnt bother this old man here right?"
"Because you think this old man isnt capable of taking care of you?!"

Jessica shook her head violently.

"Haraborji.."
"I dont want you to worry.."
"Dont want you to fight with appa and omma because of me.."
"Im fine, really" said Jessica in tears with pleading eyes.

Mr Jung's eyes softened at Jessica's pleading eyes and tears.
He sat down beside Jessisca, and caressed her hair concernly.

"They are your parents, Sooyeon"
"You're their daughter"
"When you're sick, you have to let your parents know" said Mr Jung softly.

Jessica shook her head sadly.

"Aniya"
"Haraborji, i dont want"
"I dont want you to quarrel with appa and omma" sobbed Jessica softly.

"Silly, you're important to haraborji"
"You're my only sweetie"
"My only granddaughter"
"Now, tell haraborji why are yo here"
"Haraborji wants to hear it from you personally"

Jessica turned away and kept quiet.

"Sooyeon.." warned Mr Jung with a low voice.
"You know im the CEO here"
"You know as long as i ask for it"
"I'll know it right?"
"You know if i get to find out its something serious"
"You know what will happen to you right?"
"You do know the seriousness to this right?" said Mr Jung with a firm stern voice.

"Haraborji.."
"Why are you all forcing me..?"

Jessica paused and sighed.

"I've been diagnosed with leukemia.."
"Haraborji.. leukemia..."

Mr Jung's eyes popped open in shock,
mouth dropped open.

"Oh my.. Sooyeon.." called Mr Jung with his eyes tearing up.

He brought Jessica into his embrace, as he let his tears fall down his wrinkled face.

"Its haraborji's fault for not paying much attention to you"
"Its haraborji's fault.." sobbed Mr Jung sadly.

"Haraborji, its not your fault"
"Plus, im still good, right?"
"Im still alive and kicking"
"I wont die"
"I'll live for you haraborji" said Jessica, trying to alleviate the atmosphere there.

Mr Jung paused and broke the hug from Jessica.

"What did the doctors say?" asked Mr Jung as he wiped his tears away.

"Haraborji, dont cry"
"Everyone is crying for me, not you too"
"Please" pleaded Jessica with a pout as she wiped Mr Jung's tears away with her thumb.
"The doctors said the cancer cells were spreading fast"
"It has expanded to my spine"
"Thats why the doctors had to give me chemotheraphy through the chest IV and the injection twice daily through my spine"

"Poor girl.." whispered Mr Jung sadly.
"It hurts, doesnt it?"

Jessica shook her head and threw Mr Jung a genuine smile.

"Aniya, its okay"
"It dont hurt at all" lied Jessica with a smile.

"Its so serious Sooyeon"
"I should tell your appa and omma"

"No.."
"Please, haraborji"
"Please, dont tell them" begged Jessica sadly.

Mr Jung frowned.

"Arasso"
"Sooyeon, you'll rest now first okay?"
"Haraborji will come in tomorrow" said Mr Jung with a sigh as he finally stood up from his seat and turned to the door.

Outside the room, everyone had left except for Yuri.
Mr Jung stepped outside and sat beside Yuri.

"Whats your name?"

"Yuri imnida"

"Yuri.."
"So Yuri, who is Sooyeon to you?"
"To me, from the way i look at it"
"You two are more than friends, right?"

Yuri nodded with an awkward smile.

"Mr Jung, i love Jessica"
"I cant live without her"

"But you two are girls Yuri"

"Mr Jung, love comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes"
"I believe that even though we are both girls"
"We can still work things out too" said Yuri seriously.
"I hope you dont object to our relationship" added Yuri.

"What if you were to leave our Sooyeon one day?"
"What if you are going to break her heart?" questioned Mr Jung.

"I wont, unless Jessica leaves me"
"If not, i'll keep her by my side"
"I promise, she'll be safe and sound with me"
"Never will you see her get a small cut or bruise"
"As long as she's with me" said Yuri sincerely.

"I get your meaning Yuri"
"I'll get going now"
"I will be coming back soon"

With that Mr Jung walked off from Yuri.
Yuri then stood up and went back into Jessica's ward.

"How was it?" asked Yuri as she took a seat beside Jessica.

Jessica pushed her off.

"Whats wrong sweetheart?"

Jessica didnt want to face Yuri,
she was actually pretty pissed with Yuri for breaking her promise.

"Is it because of Mr Jung?"
"Sweetheart, you know im doing this for your own good right?"
"I know you miss him"
"Plus he should know"
"So does your parents" said Yuri gently, trying to reason things out with Jessica.

"Get lost"
"I dont talk to people who breaks promise" said Jessica coldly.

"Sweetheart.."
"I didnt mean to break it"
"I'll make it up to you"
"I'll promise you anything sweetheart"
"Just dont be mad at me will you?"

Jessica pondered for a few seconds.

"Right"
"Sounds acceptable"

Yuri let out a sigh of relief and smiled.
But the smile was shortlived.

"Promise me that you'll let me home"
"My own home which i've grew up in for the past 18 years after 7 days here"
"I've spoken to the doctors and they said it will be good for me to return home during my rest period"
"And before returning home, i'll like to visit the King and Queen first"

"What?!"
"You wanna go back to your own home?!""
"Sweetheart, but theres nobody there to take care of you"
"Dont you want me to take care of you?" asked Yuri with a concerned yet sad look.

"Well, i would definitely love your company Yul"
"But i just felt that i needed some time alone"
"You really have to give me that"
"For just a few days before returning to the hospital"
"I dont want to be fussed around by people you understand?"

Yuri frowned,
obviously with a worried look,
looking at Jessica.

"Sweetheart..-"

"Look Yul"
"I promise i'll be fine"
"And you said you would promise me anything so long as i forgive you right?"

Yuri nodded sadly.

"Guess i'll have to let this slide this time round"
"Werent careful with my words" sighed Yuri.

Jessica threw her a warm hug,
her head on Yuri's shoulder.

"Thanks Yul.." whispered Jessica softly into Yuri's ears.
"Thanks for being here for me"
"I love you.."

Yuri's worried frown slowly turned into a smile.

"I love you too"
"You dont have to thank me because i want to be here"
"I just want to be here for you"
"Forever and ever"
"I just want to embrace you in my arms"
"And let your head snuggle into my chest of warmth"

Jessica chuckled as she broke the hug.

"Nope, i dont want to be in ur embrace nor snuggle in your chest of warmth"
"I think the bed can do a better job" teased Jessica playfully.
"I think i'll prefer the bed"

Yuri shot Jessica a hurt look.

"Awww.."
"I was just kidding right?" giglged Jessica cutely.
"I dont want to be just your embrace or snuggling in your chest of warmth"
"I want to be part of you Yul''
"I want you to know that i want to be a part of your life"

"Arent you one now?" winked Yuri.

"Well, doesnt have the feel yet" said Jessica with a cheeky shrug.

"Really without any feel?" teased Yuri with an evil grin.

Without further delay, Yuri immediatey pushed Jessica over the bed,
and started tickling her.
Jessica was laughing, gigging and bursting into tears because she had laughed too much.

"Arasso arasso!!!" shouted Jessica in tears, giggling non-stop.
"Jebal!!! Stop Yul!!"
"Its ticklish!!"

"How about the feel now sweetheart?" chuckled Yuri, not stopping with the tickling.

"Im going to cry Yul!!" whined Jessica.

"Nope"
"You're already crying" replied Yuri with a shrug.

"ARASSO!!!!" exasperated Jessica desperately
"I have the feel already!!"

Yuri stopped and smiled.

"Thats my sweetheart"
"Magic words make wonders"
"Isnt it?" chuckled Yuri as she laid beside Jessica and put Jessica's head on her arms,
with the other free hands of hers holding onto to Jessica's hands.

"You're mean Yul"
"You bullied me" said Jessica with a pout.

"Well, this is my first time too"
"I didnt get to bully you before"
"But i must say, i enjoy bullying you"
"You're too cute for it" teased Yuri as she pinched Jessica's nose.

"YAH!" exclaimed Jessica as she slapped Yuri's hands away.
"You're getting out of hand Yul!"
"Have you forgotten about my wrath?" winked Jessica evily as she cracked her knuckles.

Yuri narrowed her eyes at Jessica's action and smirked confidently.

"Im sure you wont do anything to me"

"Really?" said Jessica with a huge evil grin plastered over her face.
"Lets see, shall we?"

Yuri mockingly squinted her eyes at Jessica,
as if she couldnt see properly like an old lady or in fact,
a kid who had lost her glasses and had to squint her eyes to get a clearer view.

Unexpectedly, Jessica sat up and threw her knuckles hard at Yuri's face.
Yuri's shocked expression of getting hit by Jessica was priceless but of course,
as an immortal, it didnt hurt her a single bit.

Instead, a loud yelp was heard escaping Jessica's mouth.
Jessica curled up in a ball, with her fist under her stomach.

"Damn Yul!" cussed Jessica in pain.
"How could you get so hard!"

Yuri chuckled and went over to pick Jessica up and back to the previous position she was in.
Took her injured hands, Yuri slowly massaged it with love."

"Im an immortal, silly sweetheart"
"What do you expect from punching an immortal?"
"The more you're doing these things, the cuter you appear to me sweetheatt"
"Dont you know that?" chuckled Yuri as she gave Jessica a light kiss.
"I think thats enough for tonight sweetheart"
"You gotta turn in already"

Jessica pouted.

"I'll be here with you, wont be leaving your side"
"For any second"
"Not even a spilt second sweetheart"
"Sleep now"
"Goodnights, sleep tight and dont let the bed bug bite"

"Goodnights Yul" replied Jessica as she snuggled into Yuri's warm chest.

"Sweet dreams" mumbled Yuri as she kissed Jessica's forehead with a soft loving smile.

For the next few days, to the day Jessica was being discharged from the hospital for a rest break,
Yuri had always been by her side and only once in awhile,
would her grandfather pop in and visit her.
Over the days, Jessica's been receiving a brand new bouquet of flowers everyday at her ward's doorstep.

To be honest, it was indeed heartwarming for Jessica.
But it been days since she saw Sooyoung and in actual fact,
Jessica does miss her, Sooyoung.
She missed bickering with Sooyoung and calling her a mutt.
Wait, dont be mistaken.
Jessica is just missing her new friend that resembles Tiffany a lot when it comes to sacarstic bickering.
Because at the end of the bickering, everyone would break in laughters.

However, Jessica is already pretty contented with what she have now.
With the person she love, the friends she love and the grandfather that dotes on her by her side.
Sometimes, Jessica wondered if things would be better off if shes sick.
If shes sick, everyone would be by her side.
Of course, except for her parents although she wished that they were there with her.

"Sweetheart" called Yuri as she approached Jessica from the pharmacy of the hospital, with a considerably huge white plastic bag in her hands when it comes to medicine.
"We're ready"
"Shall we go?" smiled Yuri as she held her hands out to Jessica.

Jessica rolled her eyes disgustingly at the bag of medicine and turned to Yuri.

"Please dont tell me this is mine" said Jessica pointing to the bag that Yuri was holding.

"Well, part of it is what the doctors had prescribed"
"I just requested for some vitamins for you"
"The doctors said your immune system is weak after the chemotheraphy" said Yuri with a shrug while leading Jessica to her car.

"Gosh"
"I wonder what would you do if you're not a doctor" exasperated Jessica dramatically as she entered Yuri's car.

"Of course, i would be your lover" replied Yuri as she got into the driver seat and drove off.

First stop, the Kims kingdom.
Well, Jessica wanted to visit the King and Queen.
As promised, Yuri brought her back to the castle.

Entering the great hall where by the King and Queen was already expecting Jessica's visit.
With a smile, Jessica bowed slightly at the two important figures of the Kims Kingdom.

"Anyeonghaseyo" greeted Jessica.

"Welcome back honey!"
"You're finally back!" said the Queen happily as she warmly threw Jessica a hug.
"But you look pale.." added the Queen with a frown.

"Im fine"
"Dont you have to worry, but im not back for long"
"Just a short visit and a talk with you two if possible"
"And i'll be leaving" said Jessica with an awkward smile.

Jessica was really sorry for being so abrupt,
coming so abruptly and leaving so abruptly.

"But i promise i'll be back" added Jessica.

"What do you want to talk about, Jessica?" asked the King with interest.

Jessica turned to Yuri with a cute smile,
she requested Yuri to give her some private time with the King and Queen.
Yuri nodded and left the great hall.

"Im here, would like to talk to you two about the ruler"
"Like what i've told you before when you asked me about my opinion"
"I've told you about the my thoughts right?" asked Jessica with her gaze fixed on the King.

The King nodded slightly.

"I've thought about it too Jessica"
"It sounds workable"
"Probably can work out well" smiled the King slightly.

"I've heard from the King about your thoughts honey"
"And we really liked it"
"We hope you'll be Yuri's partner honey"
"You have what it takes to be the next Queen"

Jessica smiled and shook her head.

"I dont, my Queen"
"I dont have much time left"
"Make the three princesses the ruler, i believe they can rule this kingdom well"
"I know im in no position to say this"
"But i still felt i should voice out my opinions"

"I've figured out you're not the kind who will stay put and keep quiet after not being able to voice out" chuckled the King.
"Im pretty satisfied with your opinions though"
"But why did you say you dont have much time left?"

"Im sick" muttered Jessica softly.

"Sick?" repeated the Queen.
"Then visit the doctor and you'll feel better!"

Jessica laughed softly at the naive reply.

"It doesnt get better by just visiting the doctor and resting in bed for a few days"
"Anyway, my King and Queen, please do not disqualify Yuri as not one of the ruler if you decide to let the three rule your kingdom one day because she doesnt have a partner"
"Tiffany and Sunny can be great Queens too, i promise"
"They have a certain calibre that you two have yet seen before" smiled Jessica politely.

"Honey, this is sad"
"But i hope you'll feel better"
"And, the door here, the castle gates"
"They will always be opened for you"
"Return to us after you've recovered" said the Queen with a warm smile.

"Thats right" agreed the King with a nod.
"Although we dont know what wrong"
"But do feel better, and of course"
"Your suggestion" said the King pointing to Jessica.

With a smile, he moved his finger to his temple.

"Its in here now"

"Thanks my King and Queen" said Jessica with a bow.

"I've a question to ask"
"You've never greeted us King and Queen"
"But why now?" asked the King curiously, with the Queen nodding in agreement.

"Well, just felt like it" winked Jessica.
