Yuri stormed back to her room after parting with TaeNy and YoonSun.
Storming into her room, there sat Sekyung on Yuri's bed with a suspicious smirk plastered on her face.

"Sekyung!" hissed Yuri angrily as she went over and fling Sekyung off her bed.
"How many times have i told you to not enter my room without my permission?!"

Everything was building up the anger and sadness inside Yuri.
Regrets, she was filled with regrets and guilt.

Sekyung's eyes filled with fear.
It was the first time, first time Sekyung saw the helpless eyes in Yuri.
Helpless, mad, sad, regrets and guilt.

"Yuri..?"

"Shut up!"
"Im going to make this clear to you"
"I know you've been fabricating everything up to separate Jessica and me"
"I know, ever since you're back"
"I've instructed someone to track everything down"
"Either you go back home on your own, and not utter a single word right now"
"Or i snap your neck into two"
"Choose" said Yuri firmly and coldly as she glared at Sekyung.

Yuri's glare, it seemed like she had learnt a one or two from Jessica.
She was sending glares like daggers.

"Yuri~" whined Sekyung.
"Do i really have to choose?"

Yuri's patience was running out.
Before Sekyung could react, Yuri's hands reached out to Sekyung's neck and tightened her grip on it.
Within seconds, fears filled Sekyung's eyes as she started coughing.

"CHOOSE!" hissed Yuri impatiently.
"Dont think i wont dare to snap your neck!"

"Alr..rightt!"
"I'll.. leave..!" coughed Sekyung with tears in her eyes as she struggled to break free from Yuri's grip.

Yuri dropped her grip immediately,
dropping Sekyung onto the ground,
coughing and gasping for air.

"I'll make this clear to you"
"You, leave now"
"And never return neither would you spread a single word out about us"
"Immortals"
"Believe me or not, i'll have people around you till to monitor you"
"Till the day you depart from this world" warned Yuri coldly as she motioned for the guards to enter.

The guards came in and picked Sekyung up.
As she was being dragged out of the room,
Yuri turned to her and added.

"Watch out, maybe?"
"My people around you might even be your friends"
"So watch your words"

With that,
Sekyung was being dragged out of the room.
Watching the whole process was TaeNy and YoonSun.

"I see you've cleared what you need to" interupted a voice as the 4 entered Yuri's room.

Yuri turned to see the 4 walking in with a satisfied grin.

"You're on time"
"We'll be heading off to Jessica's"
"You coming?"

"Of course!"
"And im never gonna let her go anymore" said Yuri with a determined look.

"Sounds good"
"You better not hurt my Jessi"
"Or you'll get hurt" warned Tiffany.

To be honest, Tiffany still couldnt somehow trust Yuri.
For what Yuri had done, Tiffany still couldnt find the faith to trust her.
Nevertheless, she's giving her a chance.

"Shh.."
"Baby doll, dont"
"We shouldnt blame Yuri" whispered Taeyeon softly to Tiffany's ears.

Tiffany nodded with a sad look and headed towards the garage,
followed by YoonSun and lastly,
Yuri.
The first stop was taken by Tiffany and Sunny.
The two best friends took the first drive, they drove straight out of the magical forest and towards Jessica's mansion at an extremely high speed.

Upon reaching the mansion, Tiffany and Sunny was the first to jump off the car.
Since all of them were driving convertibles, they didnt even take the chance to open the door but jumped out of it.
Yup, they were adapting well to their newly found agility.

Pressing on the bell, TaeNy, YoonSun and Yuri waited outside for an answer.
Then, the gate opened.

Running into the mansion at human speed because they didnt want the people inside to spot anything thats amiss about them,
Tiffany and Sunny came across to Jessica's butlers.

"Hey"

"Agasshi" bowed the butlers politely.

"Where is Jessi/Sica?" asked Tiffany and Sunny in unison with worried look plastered on their faces.

"Im afraid you've made an empty trip, agasshi"
"Our agasshi is now in the hospital"

"Hospital?!" exclaimed Yuri in shock.

"Thanks, we'll visit her there" said Tiffany and Sunny immediately as the 5 dashed out of the mansion and back into their cars, driving.

This time round, was Taeyeon & Yoona driving instead because they knew Tiffany and Sunny was extremely worried now after getting the news of Jessica being admitted into the hospital.
Within 10 minutes of drive, the 5 finally reached the hospital.
Going straight to the information counter, Yuri went forward and asked.

"May i know which ward is Jessica Jung admitted to?" asked Yuri worriedly.

"Jessica-sshi?"
"Oh, she's in the top level of the hospital"
"The VIP room" said the receptionist immediately without even checking the records.

"Thanks" muttered Yuri as she dashed for the stairs.

Yoona, however stopped the rest.

"Unnie, it seems like all of you had forgotten about my ability due to this rushness"
"Dont you?" chuckled Yoona a little.
"Come on" said Yoona as she reached out her hands to the 3.

Within a second, the 4 had reached Jessica's ward,
just right outside it.
Before entering it, the 4 took a small peep at the door.

To their horror, Jessica looked so much paler than usual.
She had really lost all her colours, the witty Jessica was gone.

Just then, Yuri came up to the 4 and was about to dash into Jessica's ward but got pushed off by the 4.

"Wait"
"Yul, we need to tell you something"

"Whats there to tell?!"
"She's in there, in there"
"Im just a door away, why not let me in?!"

"Listen to us Yul"
"Listen" repeated Taeyeon again as she held onto Yuri tightly and forced her down onto the chair outside the ward.

"I dont care what you want"
"Whats your reason for coming here Yuri"
"But Jessi, the Jessi right now that you'll be seeing later"
"Is not what you think she is"
"She is not in there because of a common flu or an exaggerated flu"

Tiffany paused as tears started rolling down her face.
Tiffany turned away from Yuri.
She couldnt bring herself to break it to Yuri.

Taeyeon sighed.

"I hate to break this to you, Yul"
"But, im afraid history will repeat itself again, for you"

"What do you mean by that..?" asked Yuri in disbelief.

"Yul unnie, im sorry.."
"But Jessica.. she's diagnosed with leukemia.." said Yoona with a sigh.

"Leukemia..?"
"How can this be?!" cried Yuri, couldnt believe her ears.

"Calm down Yul"
"We wished it was a joke too, but it isnt"
"She's lying inside on the bed now"
"You can go in but please dont"
"Dont break her heart again" said Taeyeon with worried looks on her face as she gave Yuri an encouraging pat.

Yuri took a deep breath and nodded before taking caution steps into the room.
Walking slowly to the bed, Yuri's heart shattered immediately.

Where is the witty Jessica that she had first met?
Where is the cute Jessica that she had first met?
Where is the pretty Jessica that she had first met?
Most importantly, where did her lively active sweetheart had gone to?

Sitting by the side of Jessica's bed, watching Jessica sleep.
Jessica was now clad in a pink beanie, red knitted blouse,
with another loose long sleeve tee in it and a skinny jeans.
But the different thing was, Jessica no longer had the same colour she used to have in her face.
It was pale, her lips were pale and dry.

Putting Jessica's infused hands on Yuri's cheeks as tears silently fell down Yuri's face.
Without herself realising it, tears actually wet Jessica's infus arms.

Jessica's POV

This touch..
It is so familiar..
But why is it wet now..?

Did she come..?
But how is it possible..

End of Jessica's POV

Jessica started to stir, and slowly opened up her eyes.
At the first try, her visions were really blurry.
Blinking it for a few times, her vision cleared.
Now, it was clear and sharp.

Turning to her left, Jessica was taken aback that Yuri was there,
crying her hearts out.
Jessica immediately jerk her hands away from Yuri.

"You're awake.. sweetheart..?" asked Yuri lovingly as she wiped her tears away and showed Jessica her best smile she could come up with at that point of time.
"Why did you do this to me and yourself, sweetheart?"
"Why didnt you tell me..?"

Jessica watched as Yuri bombarded her with questions.

"Sweetheart..?"

"Why are you here?"

"What do you mean why am i here sweetheart?"
"You're ill"
"I should be here for you"

"You're wrong"
"You shouldnt be"

"Sweetheart, i've cleared the issue with Sekyung"
"I got her out of the kingdom already"
"She fabricated everything"

Jessica looked straight into Yuri's eyes.
Jessica knew Yuri was speaking the truth due to the sincerity in Yuri's teary eyes.
But can she accept Yuri once again?
What if this time round, Yuri's gonna be the one getting hurt in the end?

"I knew about her fabricating it"
"I merely took this chance to break up with you" said Jessica coldly as she held back against her tears.

Yuri couldnt believe her ears.

"Why?"
"Why did you do that sweetheart..?"
"We love each other, we do"
"Dont pull us apart like this sweetheart"
"Dont" pleaded Yuri in tears.

"Look, whats left for you when i leave this world Yul?"
"I dont want you to go through the second round of pain you felt decades ago"
"Just leave before you fall any deeper into this"

"Sweetheart, look"
"I know i told you that about my past love story"
"Yes, i was hurt partly because she left the world before there was any treatment planned for her"
"But i didnt tell you the full story because i couldnt.."

"Couldnt?"
"Couldnt trust me?"
"Sounds fair enough, if you couldnt"
"Then it looks like you havent fell deep into this"
"You can be saved just by leaving this room"

"No sweetheart"
"Probably back then i wasnt, but now im sure i trust you"
"I cant live without you, really sweetheart"
"I'll tell you everything without hiding a single truth from you"
"All i ask for is me to stay by your side and love you"
"I know its already too much to ask for anything right now.." admitted Yuri guiltily with her head casted downwards.

Seconds later, Yuri sighed and continued.

"My first love.."
"After she passed away, i was at her funeral when her a guy came and cried infront of the wake like theres no tomorrow"
"And it turns out that he was her boyfriend"
"Unable to believe my ears, yes i went to her room and found a diary that shes been writing"
"To my horror, shes been cheating my feelings, using me because im rich sweetheart"

"Why?"
"Arent you afraid i would also do the same?"

"You're different sweetheart"
"I know you are" said Yuri confidently as she caressed Jessica's warm cheeks.
"Why are you so warm sweetheart?"

"Thats because she's running a fever" interupted a voice as footsteps were heard stepping in continuously till the doctors surrounded Jessica.
"Jessica-sshi, we just would like to brief you on your upcoming treatment plan"
"For now, you'll going through 2 kinds of chemotheraphy"
"Like i said, your cancer cells were spreading far too fast"
"And sadly, it had spreaded all the way to your spine so we have to get it treated fast"

Jessica nodded emotionlessly as Yuri stood by the side and listened.
Not forgetting TaeNy and YoonSun, they were also eavesdropping from the outside.
Or should i say, they appeared to be eavesdropping despite their superb hearing ability.

"Jessica-sshi, we'll have to hang up the chemotheraphy solutions from you starting today"
"Each day a bag of it"
"And it will last for a week"
"After that we'll go through another biopsy, aspiration and lumbar puncture before deciding your next treatment"
"At the same time, you'll be receiving two injections per day for the upcoming 7days into your spinal fluid"

Jessica silently cringed at all the treatments that are prepared for her for this upcoming week.
But kept up her strong front and nodded.
As soon as Jessica nodded, the doctors motioned for the nurses to bring the kit towards Jessica.

Since Jessica is a VIP of the hospital,
even things performed by the nurses were now performed by the doctors for extra caution.
The doctors stepped forward and Yuri stepped aside.
The nurses helped Jessica to get her top down so that the doctor can insert the catheter into the large vein,
in the upper chest of Jessica's.

After applying the the brown iodine solution of Jessica's upper chest,
the doctors unwrapped a brand new piece of long catheter.
Jessica couldnt help but gasp at it.

"Jessica-sshi, dont worry" assured the other doctors who were holding Jessica down.
"Dr.Kwon is skilled in this and the way he inserts it"
"It wont hurt at all"

Jessica closed her eyes while Dr.Kwon slowly inserted the catheter into her chest.
Dr.Kwon was indeed really skilled in it, he was done within a few minutes and he didnt hurt Jessica at all,
not a single bit.

"Kamsahamnida" smiled Jessica weakly.

"My pleasure, Jessica-sshi"
"I see you've your friends here with you already" said the doctors as they hung up the chemotheraphy pack over the IV drip,
connected to the catheter.

"They insisted on coming" said Jessica.

"Of course they should, Jessica-sshi"
"They are concerned about you"
"You should let your family know too"

"No, dont"
"Dont bother my mum"
"She's too busy for me"
"My dad too"
"So its fine" said Jessica immediately as she sat up from her bed.

The doctors immediately went to push Jessica back down onto the bed with a worried frown.

"We wont tell"
"But we hope you could tell them Jessica-sshi"
"I mean, we'll be realistic about cancer"
"Cancer can be really unexpected"
"It can get well today and worsen the next"
"We always hope for the best and be prepared for the worst Jessica-sshi"
"What if the worst come and they will definitely soak themselves in tears right?"

Jessica nodded sadly.
But they didnt know that Jessica grew up with their care.

"Its okay doctors"
"I'll think about it"

"Oh yes sure"
"Please do" smiled the doctors.
"And Jessica-sshi, we'll be back later to give you the first injection for today after this bag of solution has finished" added the doctors as they pointed towards the newly hung up bag.

After the doctors left, Yuri went back to Jessica's side,
holding onto her hands tightly while TaeNy and YoonSun entered the room.
Jessica wanted to sit up, but was held down by Yuri.

"The doctor says dont sit up"
"Plus the long needle inside your chest"
"Its dangerous" said Yuri worriedly as she pushed Jessica back onto the bed.

Jessica turned to her.
Jessica's look softened.

"You sure you wanna continue sinking yourself in deeper?"
"You sure?"

Yuri smiled.

"101% sure" said Yuri confidently.

Jessica sighed.

"You cant be too sure about it"

"Why?"
"Unless you dont love me?"
"But in your note, you said you love me"
"Dont you?"

"You'll never understand Yul"
"You'll never understand my inner struggles"

"But im selfish sweetheart"
"I need you to understand me"
"Understand that i need you and cant live without you"

Jessica remained silent.

"Sweetheart, if you're still pushing me away from you"
"I'll go straight at Sooyoung and make her snap my neck or bite me"
"If it hurts you to see Sooyoung doing it to me, i'll snap my own infront of you" said Yuri with a serious look as she placed her hands,
one on top of her head while the other holding onto her chin, ready to snap it off infront of Jessica.

"Dont!" cried Jessica in tears.
"Dont do that because of me"
"You're a royalty, you're important"
"Im not worth it"

Yuri's eyes softened.

"You are"
"You're worth my everything sweetheart" said Yuri sweetly as she gave Jessica a light kiss on her cheeks.

"Ahem" interupted a voice from the room.

YoonSun giggled while Tiffany just looked away.
Taeyeon was watching them with an intense look.

"So we're invisible now?" asked Taeyeon as she narrowed her eyes at Yuri and Jessica.

"Ani, Taeyeon"
"Bianeh"
"I told you, dont bother come looking for me but you all still did" sighed Jessica sadly.

"How can we leave you hanging here alone?"
"Fighting for your life"
"Jessi, are you out of your right mind?" asked Tiffany, tone filled with sadness.
"I know your parents arent going to bother so at least"
"At least, let us be here for you"

"But Taeyeon, what about you three..?"
"You three have to go back to ascend to the throne and manage lots of matters"
"Dont you?"

"Well, those can be pushed back"
"My parents are also immortal and they will be only stepping down"
"But not to the extend of unable to perform the duties"
"Plus, the next ruler have yet to be decided among the three of us"

"Oh.." said Jessica with a tired yawn.

"I think you need to catch some sleep now Jessica" said Taeyeon firmly.
"You better rest"
"I overheard the doctor saying that you were running a fever"
"We'll leave now"

Taeyeon paused before returning wih a smirk.

"Of course, Yuri would stay"

With that the 4 went out of the room, leaving the 2 to be alone for sometime.
Yuri went over to pull up the cover for Jessica gently,
not wanting to hurt her anywhere since Jessica looked so fragile.
It was as if Yuri was holding a glass ball in her hands carefully and gently.

"You dont have to do these for me" said Jessica as she held onto Yuri's hands.
"Im fine alone, you can join them"

"You're fine alone"
"But im not sweetheart"
"They are always in pair while im alone"
"I dont want to be alone"
"I rather be with you sweetheart"

"..."

"Sweetheart, can i ask you a question?"

Jessica looked at her in wonder and nodded her head.

"Why dont you want to tell your parents?"

"You're back here and you already want to seek the pain inside me?" asked Jessica bluntly.

"Its okay if you're not ready to tell"
"But i've told you mine.." said Yuri, sounding a little disappointed as she turned to walk off.

"Wait, where are you going?"

"Toilet" smiled Yuri as she entered the toilet and return minutes later with a bowl of water and a towel.

Yuri twisted the towel in the water and put it over Jessica's forehead.
Jessica cringed at the cold touch a little but Yuri further applied a little more pressure on it.

"Just awhile sweetheart"
"You'll feel better"

"You even know how to treat one with fever?" asked Jessica in amazement.

"I did that to you before sweetheart"
"Dont you remember?"
"In school, the day before you were being brought to my castle"

"Oh right"
"Sorry, i think my brain isnt working too well" said Jessica with an awkward smile.

"Its okay sweetheart"
"I've got you"

While Yuri was tending to Jessica,
Jessica took a deep breath and sighed.

"Whats-"

"Yul, my parents.."
"They are just too busy to be bothered with me"
"The doctors and butlers told them i was hospitalised but they just simply brushed it off"
"I've even received a scolding from my mum earlier before you were even here"

Yuri could feel the sadness inside Jessica.
Keeping quiet, Yuri listened to Jessica attentively.

"She scolded me for not being able to take care of myself despite the fact that im 18 turning 19"
"Omma told me, she didnt have time for me too"

"In your face?"

Jessica rolled her eyes.

"Sweetheart, you gotta to stop rolling your eyes at people"
"It will seriously piss people off"

"So are you pissed?"

"Well, im not of course"
"Not matter which button you're going to push"
"Any buttons on me that you wanna push"
"It will never be the last"
"Because there is never a last button for you to push"
"There are infinity"
"Im just afraid you might get into trouble when im not with you"

"When you're not with me?"
"I knew it, you're going to leave me soon" exasperated Jessica dramatically with both her arms shot up high into the air.

Yuri chuckled.

"This is my sweetheart i used to know"

Jessica smiled.

"You've changed Yul" said Jessica suddenly.

"I've changed?"

"You never paid this much attention to me in the past"
"And you're doing it right now"
"Is it because you're pitying me for im sick and on the verge of dying..?"

Yuri immediately put her index finger over Jessica's soft lips.

"Shh sweetheart"
"Theere's never a die, dead, death or dying word in my dictionary"
"Neither will it exist in yours"
"Believe and you'll live"
"I regretted for not paying much attention to you in the past"
"Im going to do it now, more and more in the future"
"So sweetheart, you're warned" said Yuri with a wink.

She turned to the clock that was on the wall.

"Sweetheart, i think you should rest now"
"You've been talking to me for quite sometime"

Jessica pouted slightly.

"Dont you want to hear about my family..?"

"I do of course"
"But im sure we'll have plenty of time in future"
"Dont we?"
"So sleep now, alright?"
"I promise, i'll still be here when you wake up"

"Can you hold my hands Yul..?"
"At least, make me feel safe with you now"

"No i wont sweetheart"

Jessica looked disappointed.

"I would rather make you feel safer in my arms" smiled Yuri as she hopped onto Jessica's bed.

Settling herself on the right side of Jessica because the left side was filled with wires.
After settling herself down, she put her arms around Jessica.

"Here isnt it better?"
"Does it feel much more safer here than just holding my arms sweetheart?"

Jessica nodded as she snuggled closer to Yuri.

"Sweetheart, does it hurt going through all these..?"

"It dont, for now"
"But the needles sure hurt and it seriously does scare me off" whispered Jessica with her eyes closed.
"Im here only for the first day Yul.."

"Its okay, i'll be here for you"
"Just sleep well for now, i love you"

"Mmm.."
"Love you too.."
