The next day came, but unfortunately it was still dawn that Jessica was awake.
Jessica wasnt feeling very which thus woke her up.

"Honeystar"
"You're up huh" said Sooyoung with a chuckle as she entered into Jessica's room.

"Why are you here again, mutt?" snapped Jessica impatiently as she moved over to the balcony.
"And stop calling me honeystar for goodness sake"
"Do i look as if im edible to you?"

Sooyoung laughed.

"Thats because your as sweet as honeystars"
"And your sweet for honey, beautiful as star" said Sooyoung as she took a seat beside Jessica.

Jessica rolled her eyes.

"Look, im really not in the mood for your sacarstic jokes"

"Its not meant to be sacarstic"
"Do you wanna hear a story?" asked Sooyoung with a soft sigh.

"If i were to say no, would you stop?"

Sooyoung smiled.

"You know, when i was young"
"There was this little girl that i was attracted towards?"
"But i didnt dare to confess to her but only watched her from a distance in a corner"

Jessica raised her eyebrows while Sooyoung continued.

"I've been watching her, protecting her from a side"
"Until recently, she got kidnapped by a bunch of immortals"

Jessica's eyes widened in shock.

"I dont mind she got kidnapped by the bunch of immortals as long as shes happy"
"But now, what im worried is her illness" said Sooyoung with a sigh as she looked into the vast dark purple sky.

"Are you kidding me?"
"Dont tell me that little girl is me?"

Sooyoung nodded as she ruffled Jessica's hair with a smile.

"How can it be?"
"I've never seen you before!"

"I said i've been in a corner"
"Didnt i?"
"I know where you live, your family conditions etc" said Sooyoung with a shrug.

Jessica sighed softly and looked away.

"Mutt, you and i are impossible" said Jessica bluntly.

Sooyoung looked hurt at the words but smiled.

"Its okay, i know"
"But i appeared because i just want to make sure"
"To make sure you'll go to the hospital"
"I want to see you well again"

"Do you intend to stay here for long?"
"Are you going to fight for the throne?"

"Whats there to fight?"
"I've got no partner" chuckled Sooyoung mockingly.

Jessica nodded and sighed in agreement.

"Well, i'll think about it"

"You better really think about it honeystar"
"If not, i would really snatch you away from Yuri and get you to the hospital"

Jessica glared at her.

"Dont you dare" hissed Jessica under her breath.

"Try me honeystar"
"Take a little more rest, i'll be leaving before Yuri comes back in" said Sooyoung with a smile as she exited the room quietly.

As Jessica sat by the balcony, awaiting sunrise,
things were rushing through her mind like some strong tsunami waves in it,
causing her head to ache.
Right after the sun had risen, there was a knock on Jessica's door.
Then, light footsteps were heard.

"Hey Jessica"

"Taeyeon?"

"Why are you not in bed?" asked Taeyeon in a frown.
"You're hurt, shouldnt you be in bed?"

Jessica smile tiredly.

"Too much going through my mind"
"And i cant flush it away, so now its stinking my head up"

Taeyeon chuckled at her humour.

"Well, i've got somewhere i wanna bring you to" said Taeyeon with a worried look.

Just then, Tiffany and YoonSun entered the room with a cunning smirk on their faces.
Jessica was getting a little worried with the looks on their faces.

"Wait wait wait"
"Can you fill me up first?" said Jessica as she put her hands up with a puzzled look.
"This is scaring me"

Taeyeon sighed while Tiffany and YoonSun surrounded Jessica incase Jessica runs off.

"You know, we've hacked into Seoul's National University Hospital's patient records" started Taeyeon with a serious look.
"And, we've found your most recent records"
"It was a week before you were here"
"You went for a body check up right?"

Jessica remained silent.

"Whats more, you have a follow up with more tests"
"You didnt tell us, you didnt go"

"Jessi, you're worrying us like this"
"You know?" said Tiffany concernly.

The look in Tiffany's eyes were sincere.
She was sincerely concerned about Jessica's health.

"What do you all wanna do?"
"So what if i know about it?"
"Does that make any difference?!"
"It wont!" exclaimed Jessica in tears.
"I cant be saved, i cant.."

"Jessica.." called Taeyeon as she hugged Jessica tightly in her embrace.
"You can, really"
"We can change you"

"Dont, dont tell me about changing Taeyeon"
"It will never work"
"The success rate is only 35%"
"I think it will be an immediate death for me" sobbed Jessica sadly in Taeyeon's hug.

"Then follow us to the hospital"
"We've made an appointment for you already"

"No.."
"Please.. the hospital scares me.."
"Taeyeon, please.."
"Tiffany and Sunny please dont do this to me.."
"Yoona you too, please dont.." begged Jessica in tears.

"No Jessica, we'll be bringing you there"
"By hook or by crook, we'll bring you there" said Taeyeon with a firm tone as she carried Jessica up and nodded to Yoona.

Within seconds, they are in Seoul's National University Hospital.
Jessica was still in Taeyeon's arms, thrashing about while Tiffany and YoonSun was following behind.

"Jessica, you better stop thrashing about before i make Yoona bring Yuri here and tell her everything" warned Taeyeon with a stern tone.

Jessica stopped and looked away sadly.

"I didnt mean to threaten you Jessica"
"We are doing this for your own good" sighed Taeyeon softly as YoonSun opened the door for Taeyeon to enter.

"Ah anyeonghaseyo"
"You must be Jessica-sshi" greeted the doctor politely as he bowed to Taeyeon.

Taeyeon frowned.

"She is Jessica"
"Not me" said Taeyeon, slightly unhappy as she put Jessica down on the chair before sitting beside her.

Taeyeon was totally acting like Jessica's elder sister.
Holding onto her hands tightly, Taeyeon gave her hands an assuringly squeeze.

"Now, im Dr.Kang"
"Because her previous doctor is in the operation theatre for an emergency surgery"
"He cant be here so im taking over" said Dr.Kang with a smile.

"I have a bad feeling about this" whispered Yoona.
"I doubt he even know who Jessica is"

Sunny looked at Yoona and nodded sadly.

"So may i know who is Jessica's guardian?"

"Us"
"Im her unnie" said Taeyeon coldly.

"Right, okay"
"So, now i'll need her to get change to the hospital gown" said Dr.Kang as the nurse handed Jessica a hospital gown.

Taeyeon turned to Jessica with a smile as she cupped Jessica's face in her hands.

"Dont worry okay?"
"Just go and get changed"
"Do you need me to go with you?"
"Or Tiffany or Sunny?"

Jessica shook her head sadly and followed the nurse to the changing room with a dejected backview walking out.
TaeNy sighed.

"I cant believe an active, happy and cheerful Jessi became like this as soon as she's been brought here" said Tiffany sadly as she put her hands over Taeyeon's shoulder.

Taeyeon returned a pat on Tiffany's hands and nodded.
Minutes later, Jessica came back to the office,
changed into the hospital gown.

As soon as Jessica got back, Dr.Kang stood up from his seat.

"Alright, today you'll be going through an bone marrow aspiration, biopsy and lumbar puncture"
"Because its the policy of our hospital, when it comes to tests like this"
"We would perform the full 3 so that we wont miss out any problems"
"So, Jessica-sshi, can you please come over here to the bed here and sit"
"With your back bent forward" instructed Dr.Kang with a weak smile.

Taeyeon mouthed to Jessica, "You'll be fine".
Jessica's eyes just turned teary when she looked at Taeyeon.

"Okay, girls"
"I can only have one guardian here and the rest at the viewing room" said Dr.Kang with an apologetic smile.

Taeyeon nodded and turned to Tiffany, YoonSun.

"Its okay, you can stay here Taeyeon"
"I doubt i can stand Jessi's tears"
"I might just carry her out" said Tiffany with an awkward smile.

"Me too, i cant stand seeing Sica in pain"
"Or crying" agreed Sunny.

"Well, since Sunny's out"
"Me too" smiled Yoona as she headed to the viewing room.

After the three left, Taeyeon sat down on the chair beside Jessica,
holding onto her hands warmly while Dr.Kang prepared for the test.

"You'll do well Jessica"
"Dont worry" said Taeyeon encouragingly although she was also pretty alarmed by the number of tests Jessica had to go through.

Not forgetting what she have to go through during these tests.

"Alright, Jessica-sshi"
"I'll untie the back of you gown so that i can see you back" said Dr.Kang as he untied Jessica's hospital gown.
"We'll be starting with the lumbar puncture first"
"To brief you this, lumbar puncture is also called spinal tap whereby we remove a small amount of liquid from your spinal cord for further tests"
"And so, research says that this test is not painful just a minor discomfort"
"So i wont give any local anesthetic"
"Is that fine with you?

"Just minor discomfort?" asked Taeyeon suspiciously.

Jessica just nodded.
But neither did she know, the doctor was new.
He had just finished his internship a few days ago and arent experienced with all theres.
After putting the dabbing Jessica's back with the disinfectant iodine, Dr.Kang fished out a slightly large hollow needle and plunged straight into Jessica's back which made her jerk up immediately as she gritted her teeths tightly,
eyes forced shut as she contained the pain.
Thats not it, her fist were also clenched up due to the pain that was in it.

"Jessica-sshi"
"You got to relax"
"You have to bend forward"
"You're doing great" cooed Dr.Kang as he slightly pushed Jessica's body forward.

As soon as Jessica's back in the position, Dr.Kang quickly finished out a long spinal needle and slot it into the large hollow needle.
Tears started falling down Jessica's face.
Taeyeon held onto Jessica's hand tightly, by the side,
telling her its fine, she's doing well and its ending soon.

After 30 minutes, Dr.Kang finally removed the hollow needle and the spinal needle from Jessica's back,
together with the collected fluid from her spinal cord.

"Alright, Jessica-sshi"
"You have to lie down now"
"With your back facing up while we continue with other tests" said Dr.Kang as he stood up from his seat to put the collected fluid on the desk.

"You're doing well Jessica'' smiled Taeyeon encouragingly as she carried Jessica and laid her back on the bed, just as instructed by Dr.Kang.
"If it hurts too much, tell the doctor okay?"

Jessica just nodded weakly with a forced smile.

"Its okay, its not that painful" lied Jessica forcefully.

Taeyeon sighed a little, knowing that Jessica's been lying to them so that they wont get worried for her.
Giving Jessica's hands a light squeeze, Dr.Kang returned with another kit in his hands.

"Okay, now i'll be doing the aspiration"
"According to your records, you seemed to be low on blood platelets"
"So im going to hang up a bag of blood platelets for you during this aspiration to prevent it from bleeding" informed Dr.Kang as he walked over to Jessica with a set of IV infus as well as a red bag of liquid.

Cleaning Jessica's hands with an alcoholic swab, Dr.Kang gently inserted the infus into Jessica's skinny hands.
The only thing that Dr.Kang did well, was only this because it didnt hurt Jessica at all.
After inserting the infus, Dr.Kang smiled as he hung up the red bag of liquid onto the IV stand.

"So now, i'll be taking a few samples from your pelvic bone"
"Jessica-sshi, i must remind you"
"At all times you have to stay still if not complications might occur"
'And, i'll be giving you local anesthetic for these"
"But according to records, it might still hurt but differ from patients to patients"

Taeyeon couldnt stand it anymore and glared at the doctor furiously.

"What kind of doctor are you?!"
"According to research, according to records!"
"What can you do better?!" scolded Taeyeon angrily as if she's gonna snap the neck of the doctor.

Dr.Kang's eyes widened in shock.

"You made her in so much pain just for that mere lumbar puncture"
"And you claimed it was just minor discomfort!"

Jessica opened her eyes and gave Taeyeon's hands a light squeeze.

"Dont, Taeyeon"
"Its okay" whispered Jessica weakly.
"Im fine"

Taeyeon sighed and turned to the doctor.

"You better do a good job now"
"If not, i cant guarantee your job here!" hissed Taeyeon in annoyance.

Dr.Kang nodded nervously and got back to his position and took out a jab.

"Jessica-sshi"
"I'll be injecting you the local anesthetic first"
"You'll feel slight pinch as it enters your skin and deeper towards the bone" said Dr.Kang as he pushed the needle straight into Jessica's pelvic as Jessica winced in pain.

Dr.Kang then slowly released the liquid into Jessica's back before removing the jab.

"Now, i'll be officially carrying out the aspiration"
"Just a reminder, no matter what happens"
"Please try to remain still"

With that Dr.Kang inserted the aspiration needle through Jessica's skin and into her pelvic bone.
Jessica squeezed her infused hands tightly onto Taeyeon's as she gritted her teeth in pain.

"Shhh.."
"Its going to be fine" coaxed Taeyeon softly as she caressed Jessica's hair.

For continuously a few times, the doctor got the needle out and into Jessica's back like nobody's business before concluding it done after 30 minutes of it.
As Dr.Kang left to get the samples together with the spinal fluid, Jessica cried to Taeyeon.

"Please, Taeyeon"
"Please bring me back"
"It hurts, it really really hurts" cried Jessica pleadingly as tears streamed down her face.

Taeyeon caressed Jessica's face sadly.

"Do you want Yuri to be here?"
"To accompany you?"
"We can get her here"

"No.."
"I just wanna get home, please Taeyeon.."
"Please.."

"Im sorry Jessica"
"But we want the best for you" sighed Taeyeon sadly.
"Just one last test alright?"

Jessica turned her head away from Taeyeon in tears.
Tiffany, Sunny and Yoona who was watching in the viewing room,
their hearts were shattered.
Sunny, who couldnt continue watching it turned her head and buried it into Yoona's chest.
While Tiffany watched in tears.

Just then, Dr.Kang came back with another set of equipments in his hands.

"Now our last test"
"Jessica-sshi, you're doing really well"
"We're soon to be done" said Dr.Kang encouragingly as he sat down beside Jessica.
"Im going to start now"

Immediately, Dr.Kang inserted a special looking tool straight into Jessica's back,
as he pushed the tool futher into Jessica's back,
Jessica winced painfully.
The pain was acute yet excruciating.

Just as Dr.Kang twisted the tool, a strong pressure was felt.

"Nonononono" cried Jessica in pain.
"Pleasepleaseplease"
"Stop please!" begged Jessica in tears as she started to move.

Dr.Kang stopped moving immediately and pushed Jessica back down.

"You cant move Jessica-sshi"
"You're gonna get hurt"

"Please, Dr.Kang"
"Just let me die"
"It hurts so much"

"Jessica's unnie, can you please hold her down?"
"If not i'll have to strap these over her" said Dr.Kang pointing to the black strap on the side of the bed.

"I think its better if you strap her" said Taeyeon coldly.

Taeyeon couldnt possibly hold her down.
If she were to hold Jessica too hard, it might even break her bones.
Dr.Kang nodded and nurses came over and tightened the black straps over Jessica's body.

"Im going to continue" said Dr.Kang as he got his hands back onto the tool.

Within seconds, he started twisting the tool which made Jessica cried out loud.

"NONONONONO!"
"PLEASE!"
"STOP!" cried Jessica as tears streamed down her face.

Her face and neck were getting red from all the struggling around.

"Shhh.."
"You're going to be fine"
"Please, Jessica"
"Awhile more" cooed Taeyeon worriedly as she watched Jessica struggled in pain.

"Im going a little bit further in Jessica-sshi"
"Its going to be fine" said Dr.Kang as he further twisted the tool into Jessica's back.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!"
"Let me go!" pleaded Jessica in tears, obviously full of agony.

Tiffany, Sunny and Yoona who was standing in the viewing room wanted to barge into the room and stop the doctor.
But they knew it isnt gonna help if they want to know whats wrong with Jessica.
Hearing Jessica scream in pain, it really hurt the three who was outside.
They had never seen Jessica cried in pain before, not even once.

After a good struggling with tears and pain for 20 minutes, Dr.Kang finally finished the aspiration.
Just as he was clearing things up, a few other senior-looking doctors entered the room.
Throwing Dr.Kang a glare, the senior-looking doctors quickly stood infront of Jessica with a bow.

"Anyeonghaseyo Jessica-sshi"
"Sorry that we've came late" apologised the doctors.
"We should have handled your case personally and not let him do it"

Jessica smiled weakly.

"Its okay.. i know he's new.."
"Everyone has.. their first.."

"But Jessica-sshi, you're someone very important here"
"Cant be attended by a new doctor without experience"

Dr.Kang looked down with guilt.
Jessica tried to turned around but was stopped by the doctors.

"Please stay Jessica-sshi"
"You cant move after so much tests" said the doctors worriedly.

"Im someone important here"
"Does that mean someone.. important here.. cannot go through any.. pain while those normal patient can..?"
"I know you all are.. concerned about me.. because im the granddaughter.. of the CEO.."
"But its really fine.."
"Plus maybe because.. i came at the wrong time.."
"I heard there was an emergency surgery, isnt it..?"

The senior-looking doctors nodded guiltily.

"But now, we'll take you over from him" said the doctors firmly.
"We heard that he made you went through several stages of pain during the aspirations, biopsy and lumbar puncture"
"He'll be dealt later"

Jessica glared at them weakly.

"Dont.. dont do anything to him.."
"He did well.."

The senior-looking doctors looked at each other with a frown before nodding.

"Okay, we wont"
"Do you need anything now?" asked the doctors.

"Nope, but i think i would like to head home"

"Home?!"
"No!"
"You have to be hospitalized for a day at least after these tests"
"Dont worry, we'll inform your mum and grandfather"

Jessica shot up immediately after hearing her mum being mentioned.

"Nonononono!"
"Dont.. Please, dont tell her.."
"She's too busy.."

"But Jessica-sshi, this is a serious matter"
"You have to let her know, she's your mum"

"I know.."
"Thats why.. i chose not to.."

Jessica turned to Taeyeon weakly with a smile.

"Taeyeon, can you please get me home?"

Taeyeon nodded slightly and turned to the doctors.

"Im sorry, as you can see"
"She insisted on returning and not wanting to be hospitalized"
"But we'll be back for the report"
"So when can we get it?"

"If you two insist, we cant do anything" said the doctors with a helpless shrug.
"As for the report, the soonest we can get for Jessica-sshi will be tomorrow morning"

Taeyeon nodded.

"I'll be back tomorrow for her results"

With that, Taeyeon carried Jessica and brought her out of the hospital,
to a place without anyone's sight so that Yoona can teleport them back.
Within seconds, they were back in the castle, Jessica's bedroom.

Slowly laid Jessica back down on the bed, TaeNy and YoonSun smiled.

"You did really well today"
"We are so proud of you Jessi" said Tiffany with a sad smile.

"Im sorry i couldnt watch Sica"
"It was too painful for me to watch"

''Its okay Sun.."
"It dont hurt.. that much.. as it seems.."

"Alright, lets leave Jessica to rest okay?" said Taeyeon and Yoona in unison as they brought Tiffany and Sunny out of the room.
 
Minutes after the 4 left Jessica's bedroom, Sooyoung stepped into the room with a worried frown.
Settling herself beside Jessica, Sooyoung brushed off her fringe lovingly.

"How are you feeling?"
"I saw you in the hospital screaming lungs off just now"

Jessica rolled her eyes at Sooyoung.

"Peachy.."

Sooyoung giggled.

"I know it hurts"
"Dont lie to me" said Sooyoung with a sad expression.

"Mutt.. stop feeling sad for me.."
"Im all good.."

"Forget it"
"Where's your that beloved Yuri?"

"Yul..?"

"Oh right, i forgot she's caught up with a scandal" smirked Sooyoung.

"Scandal..?"

"I dont think you should be bothered, should you?"
"You should rest"

"Tell me.. mutt.." demanded Jessica weakly with her cold glare.

Sooyoung sighed softly, muttering to herself, "I shouldnt have said it".

"Well, recently there's pictures uploaded and published everywhere that Yuri had a intimate moment with the eliminated candidate called Sekyung"
"And, now Sekyung who had failed in washing away the memories she had here"
"Has been brought back"

Jessica gasped in shock.

"Some articles even exaggerated that Yuri took away her ity" said Sooyoung as she rolled her eyes.

"Is it true..?"

"Well, that you have to ask Yuri yourself isnt it?"
"But then again, what i told you are what i've heard"
"So please, rest well for now alright?"
"I'll visit you again"

Jessica turned her back facing Sooyoung with her eyes shut.

Jessica's POV

Is it real Yul?
Then the love you claimed to have for me,
is it real?

Why are you doing this to me?
I really much wanted to believe you but thinking back of the times when you lovingly helped Sekyung up from where she fell.
Its really bothering me.

End of Jessica's POV

Lying on the bed, with searing pain up her head.
Jessica felt like she was dying with the pain in her head.
It was excruciating, the very first time she had such horrible headache in her whole 18 years of life.

"Jessica?"

Jessica didnt bother to even turn to the source of voice as footsteps approached her bed.

"Just let me die" croaked Jessica hoarsely.
"I feel like dying"

"Taeyeon knew something like this would have happened thats why she called me over"
"I've heard from her, they brought you to the hospital"

Jessica nodded.
Just then, Yuri came into the room with a worried look.

"You went to the hospital sweetheart?!" exclaimed Yuri in shocked.
"What happened?"

"Nothing much" lied Jessica as she averted Yuri's concerned look.

Siwon then opened up her briefcase, and took out a mini torch.

"Open up, let me check up on you" instructed Siwon as he made Jessica open wide.

Few seconds later, Siwon clicked his torch off.

"It seems like your throat is a little hoarse now"
"Is your head hurting?"

Jessica nodded weakly.

"It must be you moved too much after the test"
"I'll give you a strong jab of painkiller okay?" said Siwon with a concerned look.

"Nononono"
"Please, Siwon-oppa"
"As long as there's nothing related to needles im fine"
"Please"

"But the pain, can you take it?"

Jessica nodded.

"If you cant, tell me"
"I'll give the painkiller to you"
"And for now, lay on your bed and not move okay" said Siwon as he exited the room with a worried frown.

After Siwon exited, Yuri turned Jessica to her but received a painful wince from Jessica.
Quickly releasing her grip, Jessica closed her eyes, trying to contain the pain.

"Im sorry sweetheart"
"I didnt mean to hurt"

"Its.. okay.."
"Yul" started Jessica with a serious expression.
"Did you.. really..?"

"Huh?"

"With Sekyung..?"

"..."

"Yul, if you truly love me"
"I expect no lies from you"

"Im sorry sweetheart"
"But things werent meant this way"
"Can you trust me, and believe me?"

Jessica's eyes were filled with hurt and sadness.

"How to?"
"How do you expect me to believe you?"
"When you dont even want to tell me the truth?" exasperated Jessica in tears.

Yuri brought Jessica into a deep embrace.

"Im sorry, please believe me"
"Trust me that i love you sweetheart"
"I do, really"

Jessica pushed Yuri away in tears.

"Dont"
"Dont claim that you love me when you dont give me the truth"
"Go, go away"
"I dont want to see you" cried Jessica in tears.

"Sweetheart.."

"Yul, just leave, please" pleaded Jessica as tears streamed down her face.

How much more tears must Jessica shed before things will come to an end?
How much more pain must Jessica go through before things will come to an end?

As a tear rolled down Yuri's face, she exited the room with a sadden expression.
The tear that Yuri shed, was because she saw the hurt expression in Jessica.
Yuri, she hurt Jessica, really deeply this time round.

The next day, Jessica, Tiffany and Sunny were invited to attend a interrogation trial together with the three princess or should i say 4?
Not forgetting Sooyoung, the newly found princess.

Entering the room, Jessica was saddened by the fact that Sekyung was sitting beside Yuri.
And Yuri's face looked cold and distant in her throne seat.
Naturally, Tiffany and Sunny took a seat beside Taeyeon and Yoona respectively.
With a sigh, Jessica walked over to Sooyoung's side and sat down.

"Glad to have you by my side, honeystar"

Jessica rolled her eyes.

"Told you, stop that will you?"
