It’s been a few days since I first got Soon-Kyu’s letter and I was seriously starting to think she’s given up on me completely until right there taped on the mail box is a sky-blue envelope one of Soon-Kyu’s favorite blues. Jogging over to it quickly, picking it off looking around as to how she’d put it there or who’d put it here.

Once back inside with the letter securely wrapped in my hand my heart beating, she’ll be sending me letters telling me why she loves me, but I couldn’t tell her immediately how I feel, I have to figure it out. Cautiously I slit open the small envelope pulling out the white paper folded twice.

Dear Onew,

              Sorry to keep you waiting it took a bit longer than I expected to write this next letter, but the first step is always hard, at least that’s what I’m telling myself. Do you remember the time you took me to the Han River? It was one of our first time walking as friends, I never told you but I loved the way you were smiling the whole time, it’s so contagious.

Reason One: Your Contagious Smile

 I’d called you over to me, oh, how I just about said ‘I love you’ on the spot, your entire body seem to fly; your face had lit up from me calling you. But your eyes they told me how happy you were when I called you.

Reason Two: The way your eyes light up when I say your name

Your hair at the time was still sort of long, I love how it framed your face, like a picture in a museum, sorry, I can’t be poetic the whole way through.

Reason Three: How your hair falls around your face

Also you were telling me all about your trainee days; you spoke about them so fondly that your eyes sparkled from how happy you were about it. I could tell right away this wasn’t some hopeless hobby, this was what you wanted, something you wouldn’t give up on.

Reason Four: Your eyes look like stars when you’re passionate

My last reason for this letter Onew, if you remember this day correctly then you’ll know my last reason. We’d been walking along the Han River all day losing track of time, unable to leave each other, but I had to go home, telling you goodbye was hard, but when your lips fell on mine I knew Onew, I knew I loved you.

Reason Five: How your lips make mine smile when you kiss me

Soon-Kyu 

P.S. Onew, I treasure that day, every moment I’ve ever spent with you, I hope you’re doing the same.

Looking at the letter I could tell she’d been crying while writing, my heart lurched. Grabbing a jacket I quickly pulled on a pair of shoes before stepping out to go to the place she’d talked about. I remember everything about that first time out. I’d been completely nervous about it; she was the first girl to ever really capture my attention.

Once at the Han River I sighed, I remember it all perfectly.

Remembering…

“Onew!!” Soon-Kyu had called me over, her smile was gorgeous, everything about her is. “Onew!” She called again, this time a giggle present in her voice, I love it.

Reason One: Your laugh, your cute laugh

“Sorry.” I’d told her panting running up to her with my smile, looking at her I couldn’t believe she actually agreed to come meet me here, I could believe she’d allowed me to call her. The way her voice sounded was just so angelic, sweet and calming all at once, it drove me crazy when she’d refused to talk.

Reason Two: I love your voice, it’s a melody all on its own, a song put together by angels

“No worries, I wasn’t waiting long.” She’d said as a lock of hair fell in her face. Standing up I pushed it behind her ear for her, the blush the swept across her beautiful face only complimented her.

Reason Three: The way you blush when I do little things to show my affection

“Thank-you.” She’d mumbled out as we started on our walk along the river. Soon-Kyu had started walking with her hands behind her back smiling as the sun beamed down on her like a spot light. Even if she didn’t know it, she had captivated my entire existence in a matter of moments. She’d walked around as if the world was this small insignificant place, one where she’d captured the hearts of many.

Reason Four: You always seemed to look like you owned the world

She listened to me as I told her about being a trainee, she asked me questions, she actually listened and cared about what I was saying, not because I was going to debut soon, but because as she said “You sound really happy about it, screw what other girls think, hell screw what other people think, I think it’s amazing you can talk about something so passionately without fear of what other think.”

Reason Five: You listen. Always did and I have a feeling you always will

The hardest part about writing this is coming up with 100 reasons, and I might doing 200, Onew and Soon-Kyu's reasons.  I have most of them all written out though (:
