Soo Hyun's POV

The Case Of The Weird School

Why was Park-ssaem punishing me? Min Hyuk started it!

She scolded us for our misbehavior, but it did not get to me. I know, because I am not guilty. I just told her my side of story so that she will be satisfied.

Yeah, right. Satisfied indeed.

I can blackmail her if I want to, but then, if I tell my classmates about her secret, I will get involved. After all, we are all in this together. Anyway, after her sermon, she went out ahead, and I went out as well. I got to the library because even if I am a bad guy, I am a good boy when it comes to studies. Of course, my family--and the gang, expects much from the male members to make it to the top of society.

Not that it is a pressure to me. It's good, actually. I am quite ambitious, though I do not concern myself with things that do not concern me, which was why I never even cared to know Jung Shin's height, whether Jong Hyun have multiple girlfriends, whether Min Hyuk had some experience with his girlfriend, or whether Yong Hwa even had a girlfriend.

Damn, what do I care about them, anyway?

*****

Afternoon after classes has always been my favorite time of the day because I can go anywhere I want. I was inside a convenient store, which was across a pharmacy, when I saw someone familiar from outside the door.

It was Park Shin Hye... I mean, Park-ssaem.

She just got out from the drugstore when she met some elderly men dressed in neat suits. With the men were young men, and I reckoned, they aged a bit older, or if not, the same age as Ssaem. I saw her bowing low when she met them. The elderly men smiled at her, and I saw one raised his palm. I think he is introducing his son to her.

"Sonnim (Customer)," the sales clerk called me out. "You left your chopsticks."

I got the chopsticks and bowed at her in respect. Then, I got back to look at them. Ssaem was really different inside the school and out of school. As a teacher, she was really strict and unrelenting. Outside, especially when meeting the leaders of the gang, she was all in tiptoes and always bowing and very cautious despite her precious smile.

She was bowing and bowing, and I could tell that she had high respects for them. The first man turned around to see if anyone was watching them, and I recognized his face.

That elderly man is the owner of a car manufacturing firm, and I know that his wife owns a fashion boutique in uptown. And because I know the man, I seem to guess who his other elderly friends are. The bald one owns a funeral home, while the other one owns a furniture showroom.

All of them were so rich, so rich that I want to be like them.

So rich that I know that any one of those young men could be Ssaem's fiance anytime soon.

I know them because they are acquaintances with my uncle inside the gang. I can use their influences some time in the future. But one thing got me curious and interested.

It was not the fact that Ssaem was polite and cautious around them.

It was not the fact that the sons have businesses of their own.

It was the fact that Park-ssaem--ani, Shin Hye's smile is captivating.

I think I had fallen for her the moment I saw that smile.

****

That evening, I saw Ssaem eating yogurt from a cup. I have no idea that there was this cute side of hers.

"Ssaem!"

She jumped out in fright.

"Aigoooooo!" she hissed as she wiped the dripping yogurt off her teacher's uniform.

"I saw you with Han-sajangnim this afternoon," I informed her.

Her demeanor melted from that of a teacher to that of a regular girl.

"Ah, ne... He introduced his son to me... and also Wang-sajangnim and Gwak-sajangnim," she said.

"They are all rich people," I pointed out to her.

"Han-sajangnim's son is a lawyer," Shin Hye told me. "I... I am not comfortable around lawyers..."

"Don't worry," I told her. "That lawyer is also part of the gang."

"No, it is not it," she said, a bit apologetic. "I just do not like lawyers, that's all.... I never liked lawyers, even if they are not part of the gang. Well, except for Shi Hoo-oppa..."

I wiped the tip of my nose with the tip of my thumb, bad boy style.

"So, can I walk you home?" I asked her suavely.

"Tsk, do you think I will allow my student to do that?" she said as she smirked. "Shirheo!"

I insisted, and she gave in after sighing. I can finally have the time to be with her after being captivated with her this morning. After all, she has no secrets to keep with me because I know who she is.

I will study hard and get rich...

And I will marry her soon.

I do not mind a noona for a bride.
