Secrets?

Its All a Game

At Lunch

The Baozi was awakened from his slumber as a small doe-eyed boy entered his room cautiously.

“Umm... can I help you?” Xiumin eyed the younger as he s his way through the inanimate objects to find a seat next to the boy.

“You’re Xiumin right? Luhan’s friend.” The Chinese boy simply nodded as the Korean introduced himself as Kyungsoo. An awkward silence fell amongst the two as Kyungsoo took his own seat, both not exactly sure how to start out.

“Can I-“

“Why are you-“ A stiffed laugh came from both as Xiumin egged the younger to continue his statement.

“You know the truth about Luhan right?” The awkward atmosphere quickly stiffened as the two began their tango into dangerous territory.

“Why?!” The bed-ridden boy began to panic a bit, fearing that his visitor was another hit man sent by the Kings.

“I got hurt because I knew too.” Xiumin’s shoulders quickly relaxed, his eyes scanning the boy’s body for any signs of the abuse. Catching the elder’s eyes, Kyungsoo slowly pulled down his turtleneck, revealing discolored flesh that was taking the shape of handprints. Nodding back tears, Xiumin grabbed the younger’s hand in comfort, the two unable to say anything more. “Xiumin, what do we do? We can’t tell Luhan because he’ll break, especially with the upcoming weeks.”

“We can’t tell anyone because he’s going to break in the end.” The two fell into another silence, neither knowing what to do, but they shared a common thought; all hell will break loose the day Sehun leaves Luhan.

At School

Sehun walked up to the other three Kings, continuing to look around for his partner.

“Looking for Luhan again?” The younger ignored the mocking tone of his hyungs as he continued to search for a certain Chinese boy. After ten minutes of futile searching, the Kings found themselves with a slumped over Sehun. “Yah! He’s just a bet. Why are you so caught up with him?” Baekhyun’s eyebrow rose in curiosity as the other two tuned into their conversation.

“If I don’t hang out with him, how can we make sure that when I dump Luhan it will be enjoyable?”

Kai eyed the younger while calling bull. The dancer continued to explain that it was easy to see that Luhan had his dongsaeng wrapped around his finger.

“Maybe he likes him?” Baekhyun’s announcement brought nerves over the three listeners, all silent until the addressed punch the singer hard in the arm.

“ no, why the hell would I like that thing? He isn’t an ugly duckling for nothing.” Forcing a laugh, Sehun successfully fooled two of his friends, while skillfully avoiding the gaze of his eldest hyung. As the three continued their bashing a familiar orange scent washed over Sehun.

With Luhan

The Chinese boy pushed his glasses further up his nose, tied up his frizzy bangs and readjusted his horrendous head gear.

“Oh the things I do.” Luhan chuckled to himself about his own antic before another voice broke him out of his thoughts.

“Ah- Luhan, I found you!” Quickly looking up, the youngest met the eyes of his Chinese friend.

“Orange! What are you doing here?” The addressed had an aviator's hood and mask, his identity still hidden for the most part. The singer sat down, throwing a brotherly arm over the younger exclaiming he wanted to visit his favorite little brother. “Gege….I’m your only little brother. Xiuxiu is older than you.”

“Well then. That makes you my least favorite too.” Luhan pouted his lips in frustration as the elder merely laughed at the face before placing a small kiss on his cheek. “Awh, you know I love you.” Shrugging his shoulder, the younger returned the loving gesture, not noticing the green eyes that fell upon the surrogate brothers.

With the Kings

“Hey Sehun, isn’t that the ugly duckling over there?” The table all turned towards where Baekhyun was pointing. Surely enough, there was Luhan, and a

masked man who was kissing Luhan’s cheek.

“Damn, Sehun. Better get your pet back on its leash.” Sehun’s nose flared in a bit of anger as he watched Luhan not only accept the affection with a smile, but return it. Immediately his table burst out in cries, all amused that the little duckling had actually outdone Sehun.

“Sehun, you better remind that kid just who he belongs to again!” Kai gripped his stomach, roaring with laughter as Sehun’s eyes darkened.

“I’ll be back.”

“Better get what you want before it gets away.” Kris’s words were soft enough for the other to hear, but they rang loud in Sehun’s mind. Kris watched in extreme disappointment as Sehun decided to walk away from his problem.

Two week later

Luhan awoke early on the weekend, coming into a lit living room, his eyes meeting the tired ones of his surrogate father.

“Appa… did you sleep?” The elder allowed a solemn smile to grace his face as he shook his head. The Chinese boy gave a stressed sigh, for ever since

Suho had been filming his newest drama, the elder got an hour of sleep on a good night. Shaking his head in worry, Luhan retreated into the kitchen, only to present a cup of steaming coffee to his dad minutes later. Looking up with sleep deprived eyes, Suho felt a wave of happiness wash over him. “There’s two creams and three sugars in there, just the way you like it, appa!” Pushing the cup of coffee out further, the actor had to resist bursting out in laughter as the

boy transformed into a little five year old as he presented the coffee with large eyes. The two sat in a comfortable silence as Suho sipped away at his drink.

“Luhan-ah,” The Chinese boy quickly focused on his father as Suho continued, “The funeral service for your parents-“

“Mom.”

“Mom,” Suho quickly corrected seeing the nod of approval from the youngest before he continued, “Are we going to have a service this year?” Luhan said nothing but his small head movement was enough confirmation for Suho. “Ok I will clear the date for your parents’-“

“Mom.”

“Mom’s funeral service,” The two continued in silence before Suho grew bold once again,

“Luhan why don’t we honor your father-“

“No,” The answer was abrupt, the Chinese boy not even flinching as he gave his answer.

“But-“

“No.”

“Lu-“

“No.”

“We shoul-“

“Apple,” Suho slowly turned his head at the younger’s final answer, seeing a triumphant smile sitting well on his face. Questioning the answer, Luhan simply stated that he was tired of say no. Chuckling, the eldest returned to silence, sipping his cooling coffee before he tried requesting once more. Unfortunately, Luhan beat him to the punch, strictly proclaiming no as he laid his head in his appa’s lap. Using his free arm, Luhan grabbed Suho’s hand, guiding it to his hair. As Suho continued the motion, the youngest mewled in content, invoking laughter.

“Aish, this brat.”

With Sehun and Kai

The two grilled their meat in silence, fatigue from school taking a toll on their healthy bodies. As they quickly consumed their protein, Sehun’s eyes lit up in remembrance.

“Hyung,” Looking up with a full mouth, Kai was a bit curious as the younger hardly ever called him hyung. “I gave our precious Baozi a visit.” Food was nearly spat across the table at the word precious, forcing the youngest to pause for a bit. Sehun smirked at the thought of Kai’s reaction at his upcoming news before he opened his mouth once more. “And on the visitors list I happened to see a certain Kyungsoo.” Now this news did cause a spray of water to erupt from the other side of the table as Jongin’s eyes visibly darkened. “Just thought you should know, hyung. Good job on trying to hide your relationship, just don’t leave your phone unlocked when you two are ting next time, ok?” Sehun nonchalantly continued with his meal as though he didn’t just drop a bomb on the elder. Kai on the other hand plumped back in his chair, vengeances running through his mind.

That Night

Tao sipped his hot chocolate, allowing the loving smile to grace his face as he awaited his company. Seeing the elder walk in Tao couldn’t help but smirk at the misery he caused him. Some may ask the martial arts expert why he would do such a thing to someone he had interest in, but to Tao his friendship with Luhan meant more to him than his infatuation with Kris.

“Tao,” The voice broke the younger out of his thoughts, forcing him to give attention to the elder who stood in front of him.

“Good job, Kris, you learned how to say names,” His words came out oozing mockery, which of course simply unsettled Kris more.

“Tao. You have ten seconds to tell me that the hell you have been doing,” Clapping his hands together, Tao turned into a preschool teacher, exclaiming how proud he was that the King learned how to count. “Tao, you really are a pain in the .” Knowing that he had won the battle, the panda took a bit of pity on the elder, dropping the ridicule.

“I told you already gege, my relationship with you is like comparing a penny to a block of gold when it’s against my relationship with Luhan.” To be completely honest, Kris was a bit taken back, his past “girlfriends” abandoned their friends the second that they were given the chance with him. Looking back to the baggy-eyed boy, Kris couldn’t help but to question why. Throwing his head back in laughter, Tao couldn’t believe the easy reasoning that Kris wasn’t able to pick up on.

“Ok, Krissy, looky here. If I was to abandon my friends for you who will be there for me when we fight? Or break up? Or who would help me plan amazing things for you? You do the same thing with those idiots that you call your friends.” Thinking back on it, Kris realized that as much as him and the Kings were asses, they were always there for each other. Like when Baekhyun almost had to move freshman year and the three took turns hiding him in their room, or when Sehun broke his leg last year and they all spent their weekend watching movies and sitting.

“I... I guess so…”

“You’re still my Kris ok?” looking at the younger boy, Kris couldn’t help but smile at the boy’s aegyo. “Regardless of what those three googly-eyed s think.” Kris almost spit out his own drink as the panda’s cute expression quickly turned into one of murder as he stared down the girls behind Kris.

“Possessive much?”

“Hey when you have a god for a boyfriend you have to be on you guard at all time.” A hearty laughed escaped the taller as he leaned across the table to

capture Tao’s lips with his own.

“I think that will take care of them.”

With Baekhyun

“Baekkie! Your room is huge!” A small laugh escaped from the the shorter as Chanyeol was mesmerized by the true size of the room. “You’re so lucky! I have to share one and mine is already half your size!”

“Well that’s your fault.” Chanyeol pursed his lips, crossing his arms, causing much laughter from the King. “Yeolie! Don’t do that! I can’t kiss you through the computer idiot!” The two were currently talking over Skype as both didn’t have a car with them at the moment. Before the derpy rapper could respond, a second voice from his end cut in.

“I can kiss Yeollie!” The next thing Baekhyun saw was a profile cut into the screen, the man’s eyes were closed and his lips were placed firmly on the gaping rapper’s cheek.

Quickly the lips were removed and from what the singer saw, the unknown man had quickly dashed from the room as Chanyeol threw a pillow in that general direction yelling, “Yah! Maknae! You have your own boyfriend!” Staring at his lover in curiosity, Baekhyun questioned the elder’s family, to receive the simple response of interesting. The singer didn’t say anything but eyed the rapper for more information that never did come.

“Can I meet them sometime?”

“No.”

“No?”

“Yes.”

“So I can?”

“No.”

So I can’t?”

“Yes.”

“Yes?”

“No.”

“No?”

“Yup.”

“Yes?”

“Apple.”

“Wait what?” Chanyeol shrugged stating that he got confused and wanted to try the technique his maknae taught him. Copying the rapper’s pout, Baekhyun began to whine as to why he couldn’t meet the family.

“Because you’re going to kill my maknae.”

“Nooo…”

“Yes.”

“Maybe.”

“Yes.”

“Fine, I was going to slaughter him.”

“And that’s why you can’t meet my family yet. My precious Luhan can’t die.” Baekhyun gave in, nodding slowly until something clicked in his head.

“Wait, your maknae is Luhan?!”
