   I hurriedly sat beside a guy who had the same uniform as I did.

   “H-hi.” I started.

   He didn’t seem to notice so I cleared my throat.

   I bit my lip when he still didn’t notice me so I played with my fingers instead.

   I got bored so I started humming ‘Beautiful Girl’ by a band called Teen Top. They’re pretty good actually, but they just end up in clubs or small concerts the last time those love struck fan girls in the orphanage squealed about.

   I started to sing it quietly, getting absorbed in the song. I stopped at the rapping part and started moving my feet up and down.

   “Why’d you stop?”

   My head shot towards his direction.

   Did he just…talk?

   “E-excuse me?” I asked.

   He sighed and stretched his legs while looking at me.

   “Why’d you stop?”

   I blinked. “B-because a rap came after it. I don’t do raps.”

   “Do you know who sang that song?” he smirked, but it looked forced though.

   “Some guys called…Teen Top?” I answered.

   He nodded. He seemed to expect something else while I looked at him, confused.

   Something seemed to dawn upon him because he scoffed and shook his head.

   “Forget it.”

   “What?”

   “You clearly don’t know who they are.”

   Oh.

   I chuckled. “Sorry.”

   “For what?” he muttered.

   “I sound like somebody who doesn’t know anything.” I said, quietly. 

   “I’m Jung Soohyo, you are?” I mumbled, sticking my hand out like an idiot.

   “L.joe.” he said nonchalantly, not bothering to shake my hand.

   My tiny hand turned into a fist and plastered it on my lap, while I just continued playing with my feet.

   I continued singing the song, skipping the rap parts of course, and tapped my fingers to the beat.

   I frowned as I realized the rap part was coming again.

   Until he suddenly mumbled some words that I couldn’t hear but when I listened closer he was actually rapping.

   I looked at him, quite amused and continued singing happily.

   We started singing the chorus quietly, I watched him while he was singing. He looked happy and was actually smiling.

   I tilted my head and stopped.

   He came to an abrupt stop and looked at me.

   “Wh-what?”

   “You actually look pretty good when you’re singing.” I told him.

   His eyes flashed a sudden emotion and he cleared his throat.

   The bus stopped and I accidentally hit his overstretched leg.

   “AHHH!” he yelped.

   “O-OH MY GOSH ARE YOU OKAY?!” I gasped.

   He gave me a glare and stood up.

   “Yah!” He snapped.

   The crowd was already murmuring, which didn’t help me at all.

   I stood up and moved away from him.

   “I-I’m sorry I didn-“

   He cut me off and sighed.

   “Just leave me alone.”

   He walked outside while I followed him.

   “Hey I-“ I yelled after him but was cut short when I saw the huge walls and the gigantic gate.

   The walls had SHIN HIGHSCHOOL on it and the gate had a huge emblem on the middle.

   I saw him walk away while I stood in awe.

   “This is a sick excuse of a school.” I muttered to myself.

   He disappeared in a crowd of students and I did my best to follow him.

   “Excuse me Ms.” The guard said, stopping me.

   “I-I’m new.” I told him. “I’m not a stealer. Really.”

   The guard laughed. “I was going to ask for your I.D.” he smiled.

   My cheeks burned and I dug my skirt pocket for the I.D. that Ms. Kim gave me yesterday.

   I handed it to him and he swiftly swiped it in one of those high-tech machine thingies.

   He handed it back to me and grinned.

   “Welcome to Shin Highschool.”
