After classes had ended, I decided to tour around the school grounds. I walked here and there, looking at the signs to familiarize myself with this palace. I realized some of the pillars were made of polished marble, glazing my fingers on them once in a while.

“Dongho…really is rich…” I muttered. 

It would have been nice to have a family who would work and do anything to ensure you a bright future. A good life. But i was abandoned, threatened to be aborted.

To be killed by your own father yet saved by your mother.

I ended up on the ivory tree somehow, the one near the greenhouse and I sat on the bench, looking around. When I turned, L.Joe suddenly popped out of a bush.

I jumped instinctively and checked my heart to see if it was still beating.

“Goodness L.Joe. You scared me.” I chuckled nervously.

“You looked like you saw a ghost or something.” He laughed and moved to sit beside me. “Something wrong?” he asked.

I shook my head. “What makes you think that?”

“Well, I’ve seen you come here once in a while when you’re down.” he said, watching my expressions. I gave him a small smile, I couldn’t deny that.

"I just thought about something. That's all." I assured him.

He didn't seem to buy it because he suddenly stood up and kneeled on one knee in front of me and reached for my cheeks.

“Come on Soo Hyo~” he sang. “Smile already.”

I looked at him with my brow raised and I started to giggle at his failed attempt. He grinned triumphantly and let go. I rubbed my cheeks and pouted.

“That hurt.” I complained.

“Too bad.  I wanted that smile on your ugly face anyway.” He smirked. "It's probably the ONLY good thing about you."

“Hey. I’m right here. In front of you.”

He chuckled and held out his hand. “Let’s go see the flowers together.”
