    I fidgeted uncomfortably and pursed my lips into a straight line. I believe he was waiting for an answer because he was looking at me, waiting.

   “I-I’m sorry.” I muttered.

   I heard him scoff. “It was my fault. Come, on it’s getting late. Your parents are going to worry.”

   I rejected the sting in my heart and continued to smile brightly.

   “No backing off this time.” He mumbled.

    “Of course.”  I said, walking towards the direction of the orphanage.

   We walked in silence for a few minutes. It was just the tapping of our shoes against the pavement that echoed through the quiet street.

   “Was this place always so quiet?” he asked.

   I shook my head. “It was never this silent. But when more and more people started to achieve their dreams, they soon moved out of this old place. It seemed to slow them down.” I told him.

   “Did you lose some friends then?” he asked.

   “Not really. When I was young I was always afraid of knowing what was on the outside because of my parents.” I frowned.

   “So…”

   “So?” I prompted him.

   “What exactly happened to your parents?”

   I stopped in front of the orphanage and smiled at him. “I’ll tell you when we’re closer Chunji, just not now.  Plus, it’s my stop already.”

   I said, nodding towards the orphanage. He seemed to observe the big old building longer than usual but nonetheless, he snapped out of it and carefully handed me my books.

  “Can I walk you home again tomorrow?” he suddenly asked.

   As much as I hated the feeling of somebody walking me home, today was kinda fun.

   I shook my head anyway. “Let’s not let this happen again.” 

    “Come on, Soo Hyo.”  He pouted.  “Geez your name is too long. I’ll call you Sunny.”

   “Isn’t that the girl from SNSD?” I asked him. He nodded and gave me a thumb up. “Okay, go inside already it’s starting to rain. I’ll see you tomorrow okay?”

   I nodded. “But no walking me home alright?” I told him. But he simply shrugged as he walked away.

   “I can’t promise you that.” He grinned, looking back at me. “Besides…

   “You can’t resist me anyway.”
