“Oppa, we just have to hang up these decorations and put out a lot of chairs in the theatre room, it shouldn’t take that long. Then after you can go practice with the rest of the oppas okay? Let’s hurry. Hwaiting!! Aja :D” you fist pumped the air, and he smiled back, doing the same thing back

“Ten chairs in one row, then a gap for walking through, then another ten chairs. We’ll have as many rows as we can.” You told the other students who were asked to come help out

After about 10 minutes all the chairs were put out nicely

“Ok, now the decorations. I’ll go get the ladder, can you please pull out a few metres of each coloured ribbon and then cut it?” you rushed to find a ladder then placed it firmly against the wall.

“Okay, pass me up some ribbon please.” You climbed the ladder and put one hand out. The student gave you the ribbon.

“Uhh… I need tape, just realised.” You looked around

“Here, I got it!!” Minwoo chirped and ran over to your left to hand you up some tape.

“Hee! Gomawo oppa!!” you took some tape from him and stuck up one end of the ribbon.

Minwoo gave you another piece of tape and you shuffled the long ribbon in your hand to hold onto the other end

“Okay… where do you think it’ll look good?” you asked, looking around the wall

“Mm… maybe to the left corner? It will hang off and look nice.” The helper student pointed to the far left, and you nodded

“Okay..” you shuffled your feet over as far as you could to the left, but you couldn’t reach the corner of the wall. You took one more step up the ladder and reached as far as you could, struggling with one foot off the ladder

“Al…most..”

“Be careful Hyemi-ah…” Minwoo clenched his fists together, then helped hold the ladder steady

“You sure you’re okay? Maybe just tape it closer.” He added

“No, it’s okay oppa… I can- r-reeeach it.” You reached further but your foot slipped off the ladder

“Wooo!!” you squeezed your eyes closed as you fell off from about 3m above the ground

“Hyemi!!!” Minwoo took one step back and pushed his arms out

“Oooff!!” you fell right into his arms with your hands covering your eyes

“Hyemi-ah, gwaenchana?” Minwoo immediately asked, after a relieved sigh

You uncovered your eyes to see Minwoo’s face right above yours, and jumped off

“Uhh… nae… gomawo oppa.” you put your hands on your burning cheeks

“You sure? You must’ve been really scared, you’re all red now.” He pulled one of your hands down and felt your cheek with the back of his head

You looked up at his concerned face and found it hard to breathe. The butterflies inside were flying around here and there, making you feel really nervous

“I’m…I’m okay oppa. Thanks.” You gently pulled his hand off your face and walked to the ladder again, but Minwoo grabbed your hand to stop you

“Hajima. (don’t do it) Let me.” He pulled the ladder to him and started to climb up

“But…” you started but he stopped you

“No buts… I’m doing it.” He showed his serious face, and you just nodded

After another 10 or so minutes all the decorations were done. You watched Minwoo come down the stairs for the last time, and you let out another relieved sigh.

“Hoo… Yay!! We’re done oppa!! Charasseo!! Good work everyone, thankyou!!” Minwoo and I bowed to all the other students and watched them leave happily

“Oppa!!!” I cheered and without thinking, pulled him into a celebration hug

“Oou! Uhh… yeah!! Ahaha.” He hugged you back gently with a huge smile

“Oppa!! Let’s go! Hurry!! You need to practice!!” you broke the hug after remembering. You grabbed his hand and started running to the dance rooms to meet up with the rest of Boyfriend.

“Annyeong!!!” you burst through the door and greeted the other guys loudly, unfortunately Youngmin and Jeongmin were halfway through changing their shirts, and you saw them shirtless

Your eyes went wide with shock and Minwoo quickly tugged on your arm, twisting you around and putting your head to his chest

You had sweat down your face and you were panting really hard, you just saw two guys shirtless!!

“WAA!!” the two of them quickly hid and put their shirts on

“Huu~” you buried your eyes in your hands again, facing down to the floor

“Ou… mianhae Hyemi-ah… next time we knock.” Minwoo showed an apologetic face to you and his hyungs for barging in so suddenly

“So uhh… Minwoo, you done with all the preparations? You sure everything’s ready for tomorrow’s performance?” Donghyun asked, trying to clear up the awkwardness

Then Youngmin and Jeongmin walked out again, both ruffling their hand in embarrassment.

“Mianhae Hyemi-ah… we’ll make sure you don’t see that again…” they both looked around awkwardly while apologising

Minwoo nodded to Donghyun’s question then you turned around, slowly opening your eyes to make sure they were wearing shirts this time

“Oh… ani.. mianhae oppa… next time I’ll knock, promise!!” you chirped and they all nodded

“Hyung, can we practice now?” Minwoo stepped up and they all stood up, walking infront of the mirror

“Oppa, is it ok if I bring Suzy as well? She might have a free period now.” You put your hands behind your back

“Okay.” Hyunseong nodded nicely, and your smile brightened up

The only one who wasn’t smiling was Youngmin, he looked  a bit confused

“I’m back! Suzy’s here!” you knocked this time and Youngmin opened the door to greet you both

“Uhh.. annyeong.” Suzy looked down with pink cheeks and fiddled with her fingers

“A-annyeong.” Youngmin opened the door fully and let you both in

“Gomawo oppa, wow you guys have been working hard. Are you nervous for tomorrow?” you asked as you saw them with sweat and flicking their shirts for more cool air

“Yeah… but it’s okay… I guess it’s normal to feel nervous. So we just need to do our best!” Jeongmin cheered as he drank a sip of water

“Hey, how about you guys watch us and tell us what you think?” Hyunseong suggested, and we all nodded. You pulled Suzy to a balance beam against the wall and sat on it

“Hwaiting oppa.” you fist pumped the air with a huge smile as they got into position

“Hwaiting Youngmin…” Suzy  blushed and looked down after her short cheer

You giggled and smiled at her, giving her some support

The music started

“Would you be my girlfriend?” “Oh oh oh~” the music started. Youngmin stood in the middle and sand his lines, Hyunseong following. Both you and Suzy smiled uncontrollably watching them dance

“Nan mujogeon neoui pyeon, ni nuneun naega chaempieon!”

”Museun iri itdeorado naega jikyeo hwagsilhi neoui oenpyeon ! ”

“ I got your back, geogjang ma nae pume gidae.”

“Ha! Useobwa! Blow me a kiss! Oh so sweet I like that!”

When Minwoo rapped you got extra excited and couldn’t felt but fangirl on the inside

“Youngmin… Youngmin…” you heard Suzy whisper to herself as Youngmin sang his parts nicely

Your eyes zoomed to her. Suzy couldn’t take her eyes off Youngmin.

“Naman barabwajullae neol wihan byeori doelge”

“Neo hanamaneul wihan nan neoui Boyfriend~.

Donghyun then Hyunseong sang and the song finished. As soon as the music and dance ended you and Suzy cheered and clapped as loud as you could. The huge smiles couldn’t leave your faces.

“Oppa!!! It was sooo goood!! You guys are DAEBAK!! (THE BEST!!)” you screamed as you couldn’t stop clapping

“Really? Do you think anything needs to be changed or better?” Youngmin asked, worried

But you both shook your heads confidently

“Ani~ it was the best of the best. Doesn’t need changing.” You both responded at the same time

Jeongmin walked over to where their stuff was to pick up his water bottle, but it was empty.

“Oh…” he pouted

“Oppa, we’ll go get more water?” you suggested, hopping off the balance beam

“Okay, thanks.” Jeongmin replied, smiling

“Wait, Hyemi-ah, could you stay behind? I want to ask you something.” Kwangmin stepped forward and looked you in the eye

“Uhh… okay oppa. But… Suzy…” you looked at your friend

“Youngmin can go with her.” Donghyun nudged Youngmin, who hesitated, but left with Suzy anyway

“So what is it oppa?” you walked up to the 5 of them

“Umm… we… were just wondering if you were MCing tomorrow!!” Jeongmin butted in after a few seconds of silence

You lifted an eyebrow and tilted your head

“Uhh… yeah… I am. Waeyo?”

“Uhh… nah, we were just wondering.” Donghyun swang his hand in the air and you nodded

“Ok then, I’ll go help out Suzy and You-“

“NOO! Uh, we mean… No need!! They’re fine by themselves.” You turned around to leave when Hyunseong grabbed your arms.

“Yah! Oppa!! Waeyo?” you started to feel annoyed as you shrugged Hyunseong off

Minwoo sighed and gave up

“We’re… trying to get Youngmin and Suzy together.” He said as he ruffled his hair

You blinked twice

“Huh?” you blinked twice again before getting excited

“Chinja? Yay!” you cheered around

“What… water do you guys drink?” Suzy shyly spoke, trying not to stutter

“Umm… let’s just get the cheapest ones for now.” Youngmin had his hands in his pockets as they looked at the packaged packs of water on the shelves

“Okay then, we’ll get this one. Two packs should be enough for now.” Suzy pointed to the packs of water on one of the higher shelves, then stepped closer to reach for them. She stood on her tippy toes but couldn’t reach them

Suddenly a hand slid past hers and reached the bottle packets. But it stopped when the hand touched the packaging. Suzy twisted her head to the right to see Youngmin’s face less then 15cm above hers, and she could feel her heart racing even faster than ever. This was like a re-enactment of how she first fell for him. First helping her pick up her books, now this.

Youngmin looked down and their eyes met.

She blinked once as their gaze didn’t leave eachother for the next few seconds. Then a man walked past, accidently knocking Youngmin forward, pushing him closer to Suzy.

“Ha…” she breathed in heavily as she put one hand on the shelf to stop herself from hitting it. Youngmin quickly pushed himself back with a pink face, looking at the ground nervously

Suzy turned back around so he couldn’t see her face, one hand on her heart. It was making her sweat a bit.

Then Youngmin cleared his throat.

“Uhh… here, I’ll get it.” He stepped closer and Suzy took a step to the left to let Youngmin grab the water bottle packets

They held one each as they made their way back to the practice room, both still with light pink cheeks.
