“Did you really come up with the design all alone?” Kibum asked, after swallowing another bite of Nam Jonghyun’s delicious pasta.

         He was awfully nervous and his nervousness definitely affected his mouth that night- whether it was chewing or talking, his jaw never seemed to stop moving while sitting on that dinner table. Hyun, on the other side, was in the complete opposite situation.

“I mean everything is so beautiful- the furniture is nice and comfy, the colors you used are pretty warm and welcoming, the photos and drawings  are really cool and you have that green fridge with ing flowers and butterflies engraved on it, I mean how cool is that?!” he continued, his eyes shifting from his half empty plate to his glass of red wine (Hyun thought that there’s no better drink for his spaghetti) and then to Jonghyun, who was looking at him, but not really.

“Yah, pay attention!” Key said raising his voice and snapped his fingers right in front of the older’s face. “Look at me, not through me! Geez, am I that boring to you?”

“Uhh… Sorry Bumie, what were you saying?” Jonghyun asked incoherently, blinking a few times before focusing his eyes on Kibum.

“I was talking about how your smurf namesake is planning to bang your sister for their two weeks anniversary.”

“Oh… uh… WHAT?! THAT SON OF A-”

“No Hyun, don’t go further with that sentence because his mom is an amazing lady and I was just joking.” the younger interrupted and took a quick sip of his drink. “But he’s really thinking about doing something like a small event for their 15th day together, like giving her fifteen red roses or stuff, I don’t know. I didn’t listen well as he was thinking out loud.”

“Is that guy really sane?”

“Why? Gyu would love that! You know her, she totally digs romantic things.”

“But… isn’t it too early to celebrate anniversaries, for God’s sake?

“Nuh-uh, we’re talking about that pup and your fangirl sister, Hyun. They’re not normal, they’re the ‘fanfiction’ couple- the kind that every fan could write a fluffy story about. Love between an idol and his fan- wow holy cow, how beautiful.”

“You don’t sound like you’d ship’em.” Hyun stated, letting a small laugh right after. “Are your ‘first love feelings’ still bothering you?”

“Please, not at all. I’m even happy for them, really! But Jonghyun hyung is simply overdoing. Have you heard him talking to her? It’s just too much! I really do feel like watching a teenage soup opera whenever I hear him saying ‘Gyuuuuuu~’ on the phone. Ugh. It’s irritating… What? Why are you laughing?”

“Did you have something before coming by? Or is it because of the wine?” Nam Jonghyun asked, a small grin still hanging on his lips. “I’m just wondering, what made my Bumie so talkative tonight.”

        The sound of “My Bumie” immediately made Kibum feel the heat on his cheeks for the second time tonight. It made him hold his fork inside his fist and shake it furiously towards him. “There’s nothing to wonder about me, okay? I’m talking as much as I usually talk, you are the strange one tonight! Stop acting like a psychologist already!”

“There’s definitely something up, you’re always nagging like a grandma when you’re under pressure.”

“Which part of ‘stop’ didn’t you understand?” Kibum asked, feeling the heat on his sides increasing. “And what about you? I’m not the only strange one tonight.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“You barely join the conversation and you keep spacing out! If I’m too noisy tonight, then you’re too quiet!” Key stated with his eyes focused only on Jonghyun this time. “What’s bothering you?”
