Affections
In Love With the Wrong One“Omo omo! Bumie you see that?” Gyuri asked overwhelmed as they walked into Seoul’s newest art gallery, where Nam Jonghyun’s first solo exhibition was set to be seen. Nice atmosphere, suitable music and many people in classy clothes were first to caught Kibum’s attention. Not to mention the dozens of black and white or bright, multi-colored, poster-like photos on the walls. Each one of them was beautiful, special in their own way and the funny part was that there were those small, unnoticeable to the normal people charm of the most ordinary things in every single of them. The beauty of a freshly blossomed snowdrop, that one snowflake on someone’s nail just before it melts away, the last shining light of a building among the darkness…
So this is what he likes to do the most.
Not bad. Not bad at all.
“I’m sorry. What did you say, Gyu?”
“Look at your right. You see the couple that holds hands and smile at each other?” Gyuri explained, secretly pointing out two handsome men walking around.
“I do, but what do you mean by ‘couple’?” Key wondered, now taking a better look at them.
“Those two are really close with Hyun oppa. Jang Yunho was the first photographer and Kim Jaejoong was the fist writer in oppa’s magazine. Ahhh, those two fell in love with each other right in front of my eyes… it’s so nice to see them together after all those years!”
“Wait, so they are… couple couple?”
“Yup. But they left for America four years ago so they can live at ease since, as you know, here is full of homophobic peasants. I guess they came to support my brother tonight.”
“They look so cute…” Kibum sighed, watching one of them fixing the other’s hair.
How could this be something bad, huh?
How can loving someone be a sin?
They look so happy together…
I want somebody to fix my hair like that, too!
“Why don’t you go greet them?” he asked, noticing her longing stare after getting over his thoughts.
“I will, but let’s find this night's shining star first.” She smiled to him, then got back on searching her brother with her gaze.
When she did find him though, she wasn’t smiling anymore.
“I hate this .”
“What?”
“I feel like cutting her into little pieces when I see her stick with my Hyunie oppa!”
“Gyu what are you talking about?” Key whispered, feeling a bit uneasy because of her words and looked where her eyes were only to see a glamorous Nam Jonghyun and a charming lady coming closer. His Hyunie was really shining tonight- enjoying a new haircut, wearing his classy, black suit and throwing his killer smile in all directions, making most of the guests (even the male ones, in his case) take a second look on him.
He looks glorious. Proud of himself. Happy.
But who’s the one beside him?
Key’s eyes then fell on the person in Jonghyun’s right, her arms tangled up around his elbow. Their intimacy was obvious, both of them not caring about the gazes they received from others, especially the one from Gyuri.
Jonghyun’s exited voice was the thing that made him release the breath he didn’t know he was holding.
“Bumie!” he almost shouted, instantly leaving the person beside him and opened his embrace for a hug. “I’m so glad you dropped by tonight!” he cooed to his ear, instantly sending shivers to every cell of his friend's body.
“My Gosh you’re so sticky just like your sister!” Kibum said sounding pretty irritated only to hide the embarrassment he felt, but regretted it just a second later.
You arrogant bastard within me, why do you always have to ruin my moments like that?!
Thank God he knows me too well to get offended by you!
“Well sorry for harassing your personal space then, Kibum!” Jonghyun said in a sarcastic way, winking to his sister as a greetin
