“Nam Jonghyun, do you remember the promise I gave you a month ago?” Kibum asked too strictly, taking a deep breath right after. “Yeah, that one. When we were at the hospital. Yes, I told you I’ll spill it out after I see your smile again. Listen carefully because I’m not ing repeating it later- I… I love you. I mean I think I’m in love with you. Are you laughing? you! Like… basically, if you’re up for it, too…”

            He slapped his forehead, irritated by his own self and watched the place turning red in the mirror.

“What the is Nam Jonghyun, you idiot?! And what was that last sentence?” he hissed, realizing that he was talking to himself a moment later. ‘I’m so hopeless’, Key thought, turning to his bed and fell on it lifelessly.

“You’ve been swearing too much these days, hyung. It’s a bad example for me.” a voice said, making Kibum jump back to his feet with a dizzy feeling in his head.

“Taemin what are you doing here?”

“I wasn’t eavesdropping as you might think, I swear. I just overheard you while passing by.” the younger clarified, walking into his room. “But honestly, I don’t think that sounded like a romantic confession at all.”

“Yah, Lee Taemin! Why are you sticking your nose into my business?”

“Because you need it?” Tae smiled, passing him through and sat on the bed. “You might be older but you clearly need advice on this one.”

“And when did our Taeminie grow up enough to give love advices?”

“Not so long ago.” the younger answered cutely, tapping the place next to him. Key obeyed and sat on the bed, too. “So tonight is THE Night, huh?”

“I think so.” the older sighed, “If I don’t mess up everything, of course. It’s been eating me inside for too long, besides he keeps asking about the ‘secret’ I promised telling him.”

“Good for both of you then, hyung!”

“What’s the good part of it, Taemin? I might mess everything up tonight! Our friendship… it’s too precious to lose.”

“Or you can win his love forever, which is more likely, trust me.”
