Over

A Protector Of Light

Earth is a strange place, full of strange people and traditions. It was nothing like the EXO kingdom, not even close. But in the many month the kings have lived there, it was practically becoming a second home to them. Kris didn't want to admit it, but it was warming up to him too. The EXO kings have learned so much of how students act in the real world. If your good-looking, all the girls are all over you. If your not, you may be ignored most of the time.

In school, bullies are annoying, but none so tough that they would try to fight the kings, the "popluar" people of the schools. But the kings weren't getting bullied, nor getting in fights. They were better then that. Instead, they defend, and take a slight pleasure in scaring off boys who are much shorter then them.
Nobody was going to stand a chance against them anyway.
They have also picked up some more talents that they thought they couldn't do.

Kai had learned to dance to this music called 'hip-hop'. He had never heard of it before, but once everyone introduced it to him, he was able to dance so well to it. The Greats were quite impressed on how fast he could learn it. All the girls would fall at the sight of his 'hot' dancing.
Even the hard headed oldest had learned something, called 'rap'. He could rap at fast paces at any extent. It was pretty nice for him actually, all the members practically exploded with laughter when he said it was fun and 'awesome'.
Chanyeol, the quietest of them all, has even taken a shot at rapping. He was a firecracker waiting to happen.
Kyungsoo had taken to singing, earing the nickname D.O from friends at their third school they attened.
Tao extended his violin playing skills with a little bit of dancing and martial arts. He felt energized and truly powerful while learning, he had said.
Sehun had taken to learning the other Earth languages. Five languages he was fluent in now, and currently two more he was working on.
Beakhyun, Suho, Luhan, and Lay had taken into singing together, not for shows or in front of people, but mostly to themselves or with their brothers.
Xuimin was into photography. It seemed to him that looking at the world through a viewfinder look more beautiful.

Earth exhausted them sometimes, but all of them have endured together.

Then there came a day when it felt like hope of finding their queen was all a bust, until one year of searching had finally paid off.

Seoul was the biggest city in South Korea. It was the last city the Kings had to travel to, and it might be the most difficult. So much noise, a lot of buildings, nad an unlikely place to search for one girl.

Xiumin was walking to the kings current house in Seoul, South Korea.

Xiumin pressed the passcode of the large, over the scale house. Once he entered, he saw all the kings occupied to different things in the overly large living room.
Chen and Chanyeol were engrossed into a video game with Suho watching from the side lines. Luhan was trying to cook, again.
Beakhyun, Lay, and Kai were just coming down from the double staircase greeting Xiumin, and Tao and D.O were having sword fights, with the actual swords again.
All were seen except for Kris.

"Oh dang. Almost got you Chanyeol." Chen cried. Chanyeol only answered with a shrug and slight grin.

Xiumin walked over to Luhan, who was too busy to realize only to be focusing on making what all of the kings wanted, cake.

"How's everything going brother?" Xiumin asked, startling Luhan who almost dropped an egg.

"Oh hey Xiumin, where have you been?" he asked, still looking in the cook book.
"Just around the caves on the beach, it's pretty nice when no one is around." he answered. Luhan nodded then continued with his baking. Xiumin looked down and snickered at Luhan's heart covered apron before running over to the couch.

"Hey careful, you could have slashed my clothes." yelled Tao. D.O put his hands up in defeat. "Sorry, you were supposed to block me. Tao your the swords man in the family, how can you prove that if you choose not to block me?"

D.O stood frozen all of a sudden when Tao sword came to his face, staying under his chin. "Yes, I am a master swords-man, and I would appreciate it if you didn't insult my methods." Tao said glaring at him. D.O sneered and pushed the sword from his face.

"Yah," D.O and Tao turned to see Kris leaning against the staircase railing. Immediately everyone's eyes were on the three.

"If your not going to play fair enough, then you don't need to have these swords. Besides, the Greats told you to play outside, remember the vase accident?"

Tao groaned. "I thought we agreed to not talk about it."

"We can talk about it again if you want your sword taken away."

Sighing at the insistant king, Tao and D.O dropped their swords in front of them and bowed to each other, calling a truce to this fake battle.
Kris gave a slight smile and walked back upstairs to his room. His room is where he would always go once in the house. Earth parents always have trouble keeping their children in the house, well the kings have a hard time getting Kris out of the house.
In the moment of silence, Luhan was blowing on his hot cake, taking a look at the slightly burnt edges. He sighed. "Almost got it. Next time, a little less magic."

"You guys okay?" asked Kai. Tao and D.O silently nodded again. Kai approached them and flashed a forced smile to them.
"Come. Let's go in the backyard, maybe we can find another rabbit out there."

The three walked out the back door, leaving the rest of the boys to rush to the slightly burnt cake.

                                                       ______________________

The next day, later in the afternoon, Xiumin stopped at the cafe to get himself some coffee. He had just come back from his school, School of Performing Arts Seoul. Yes, this time it's all about their interest in singing, dancing, and stage performing.
All of the boys had become accustomed to being apart so they were all in different classes.
Usually the boys would go straight home after school, but Xiumin would sometimes stray from the path, for the sake of his photography. Seoul was a beautiful and big city and Xiumin was interested in capturing all of it.
At the beach by his house, there was an area where anyone had barely visited because of the deep and slippery caves. Sometimes people would accidently slip inside, only having to swim there way out from 5o meters of water. Xiumin wasn't human, so he didn't care if he had slipped and fallen. Plus the emptiness makes it even more wonderfull.
Xiumin took off his socks and shoes and walked into the water. He took photos of the water, his feet, the water out in the open and the caves from a distant.
All of a sudden he could hear someone singing.

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling

Xiumin couldn't help but follow that mesmerizing voice.

From glen to glen, and down the mountain side

The summer's gone, and all the roses dying

tis you tis you, must go and I must bide.

As Xiumin got closer and closer, he could make out a short haired girl, dressed in a white blouse tucked into a brown skirt. She didn't even notice him and continued singing to herself.

But come ye back when summer's in the valley

And all the valley's hushed and white with snow

And I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow

Oh Danny boy, Oh Danny boy, I love you so

 "Wow."

The girl shot her head to Xiumin and almost stumbled back.
Xiumin was taken aback and raised his hands in reassurance. "It's okay, I'm . . ."

Xiumin couldn't help but stop and stare at the tiny girls face. She looked so fragile, like glass, and was luminous against the soft sunset. Skin not so pale as the other girls have, and dirty blonde hair that suited her so well. The thing that drew him in the most were sparkling brown eyes. Eyes that looked at him in curiosity, but not at all in facination or fear. She was
definitely not reacting to him like others would.
Xiumin experienced that so much he found this strange now.

"I'm not going to hurt you, if that's what you expect."

The girl smiled back at him and walked closer to him. "Hello there." she said with a slight high pitched voice.

Xiumin grinned brightly at her natural aegyo.

The girl glanced from the sea to Xiumin, noticing him just looking at her with smile on his face. She awkwardly pointed to his camera. "Nice camera you got there. What kind is it?"

Xiumin nearly stuttered trying to answer to her. "O-oh, it's a canon."

The girl moved towards him to look at the camera a little closer. As Xiumin looked slightly passed her, he noticed something added to the background of the caves.

 The girl's outline was glowing.

 And it most
definitely was not the sun doing to trick to his eyes.

Fair skin.

Short blond hair.

Brown eyes.

A glowing halo

This is her. The one we've been looking for, the beautiful angel to be. And Xiumin was the first to meet her.

"Excuse me but," the girl looked up with a smile that practically made Xiumin's heart skip a beat. "What's your name miss?"

"Will I get a name back?" she asked as the carefully put the camera back against his stomach.

 "Most
definitely."

She giggled. "It's Sunny. Lee Sunny."

Xiumin's smile grew even bigger. "Lee Sunny? What a fitting name, but very peculiar."

The glowing girl, Sunny, chuckled a bit. "Well I was living in the states before I came up here, so I'm Sunny. My Korean name is Lee Soonkyu, but I do prefer Sunny."

Xiumin made a slight chuckle. "Your personality seems sunny too

The comment made her giggle again. "Come, sit with me. I want to get to know you. I didn't quite catch your name."

 "My name is Xiumin."

"Alright. Come and sit with me, Xiumin."

Before Sunny turned, Xiumin put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't you think it will be a little boring just sitting around?"
Sunny tilted her head in confusion.

"You don't think I'm strange, do you?" he asked.

Sunny shook her head. "No. I don't know why but I know you aren't."

Xiumin smiled. "I have eleven other brothers at home. If we invite them, we could have twice as much fun!"
Sunny flashed a wide smile and nodded excitedly. "Sure! Lead the way, Xiumin."

Xiumin lead the way with Sunny following behind.

It was finally time for the kings to meet their queen.
