Kai had followed you out into the garden.

It was peaceful out there. Nothing could be heard but the symphony of the crickets and the normal ringing of bells when there was a gush of wind. The night sky was beautiful. The moon was out with little tiny sparkling dots covering the sky, lighting it up.

You smiled at the beautiful scenery. Even though there were chairs, you walked to the middle of the garden and sat yourself there. You brought your knees up and hugged them as you kept on looking at the sky.

Kai had his hands in his jean pockets. Then, he sat himself next to you with his legs out, hands against the grass as he supported himself by that. He looked up and saw the beautiful night sky as well. Afterwards, he found himself gazing towards you.

* Hyunjin, you look as beautiful as how the night sky looks tonight. There's something amazing about you, but I'm sure there are many more things for me to find out about you. I'm not too sure myself, but I think that I'm falling in love with you. *

He looked away as fast as possible when you looked at him.

" Kai, " you called softly. He turned to you. " Do you hate me? "

He was taken back by this question and didn't know how to answer it. " You thought I hated you? " You looked away and nodded slowly. Kai laughed softly, " I never hated you. "

You let out a relieved sigh, " I thought that you hated my gutts. You didn't talk to me like the other guys, it was like you were ignoring me. I didn't think too much about it first, but I couldn't help but put it this way. "

" Yeah, I realized my doings too, and I apologize for that. I need some time to get used to new people around me, and with you, it was sudden. I hope you don't think that I'm a cold person, because I'm not. And, I don't think that I could ever hate you, Hyunjin. " He smiled.

You were touched my his words and couldn't help but smile to yourself. You started twirling grass around your fingers when Kai asked you a question. " Do you miss her? "

" Who? " You tilted your head. " Your mother. "

" Ah, of course I miss her. She never leaves my mind and I always wonder about what she'll be doing right now. Well, she'll most probably be shopping all the time. She's like my other half. We're similar in a way, like best friends. "

You couldn't help but feel sad at the thought of your mother right now. " I'm sure she misses you too. " Kai said. You didn't want to talk about your mother, or you'd be feeling sad throughout the whole night. You changed the subject.

" Are you majoring in dance? " Kai nodded slowly, " How'd you know? "

You chuckled, " Remember how we met? You walked in on me dancing... " Kai couldn't help but laugh at the memory. " Ah, that. Of course I remember. "

" You dance, too? " He asked. " I was a dancer when I was younger, I love dance. When I moved to the States, I didn't have that much more time to dance since I was busy with school and other stuff. But now I'm here, I feel free! " You said out loud.

Kai smiled thoughtfully, " We should dance some time. "

Then you remembered that you were entering Seoul Academy of Fine Arts.

" Hyunjin, just to let you know. You can talk to me whenever you want. When you're feeling down or sad or angry, anything. I'll be more that delighted to be your listening ear. "

You laughed, " I guess you're not so cold after all. " 

It was getting later and you were feeling sleepy. You yawned out loud. " Sleepy? " He asked. You nodded. The both of you got up and walked into the house, up the stairs.

" Hey Kai, " You called out before he entered his room. " Yeah? "

" Thanks for letting me know that you didn't hate me. And for spending some time with me, it was nice. I'll be sure to go to you whenever I feel like talking to somebody. " You smiled to him.

He laughed extremely softly, " I told you I'm not cold. I'll be right here. " He said.

You nodded, " Goodnight Kai. "

" Goodnight Hyunjin. "
