You and Kai walk home after being with Sehun in the cafe. You stare down at the ground as the two of you walk quietly.

Kai notices this. "Hey. Are you okay?"

You nod. "Hm."

Kai can see the pain in your eyes. He knows that you are hurting inside, you just didn't want to show or tell it to him. It hurt him to see you like that. He stares at you with those soft gazing eyes. He want to pull you in his arms, but he didn't want to scare or surprise you.

Upon arriving at your home, you are greeted by your wicked stepsisters. "Hey! ~~~~~!"

You look up, not even having that same energy you have from before. 

"You haven't cooked food yet." Jiyeon says with her arms crossed. "Mom's not going to come home tonight, so I'm in-charge of the house for tonight."

Instead of giving a one-liner reply, you just nod your head lifelessly. You walk pass by them and go to the kitchen to prepare the dinner.

Minyoung peers at you. "What's up with her? She looks lifeless."

Jiyeon just shrugs. "Whatever. I don't care."

Kai follows you and sees you already preparing dinner. He walks towards you and holds your shoulders. "~~~~~, you should've rested first. You haven't even changed from your uniform. I'll take care of this-"

"No..." You shrug Kai's hand gently. "I'm fine. I'll change later."

Kai sighs. "Don't be stubborn, ~~~~~. You're obviously tired."

"I said no." Your voice is firm, but it was still as lifeless as your previous answers. You try to ignore Kai as you continue to cook dinner.

Kai doesn't like seeing you like this. He closes his eyes and waves his hands around the kitchen. In a snap, dinner is ready. He looks hopingly at you that you will smile.

You just stare at the room. "I said I'll be fine."
