Chapter 6: Let's go buy stuff!

I hate you Lee Sungmin!

Sora's POV ~

That night was difficult for me, it was wierd to be away from my parents and Sungjin for the night, well whenever I visited. It just never happened. Never.

I lay in bed and stared at the ceiling as if wishing for it to be able to send me to sleep. Why was it suddenly so difficult? I hated not being able to sleep. Giving up, I sat up running a hand through my long hair. I need to cut this. I thought to myself irritably. I stepped off the bed and opened the door of my bedroom. It was just past one in the morning and I could hear someone still awake. Confused, I tiptoed out of my room, noticing one at the end with a dim light shining through the gaps in the door.

I knocked quietly and heard a mumble, the door was opened by Kyuhyun, wearing a pair of long shorts and a wife beater. "Kyuhyun? What are you doing awake?" I questioned, my eyes wide.

"I could ask the same for you!"

I shrugged, "Well, I couldn't sleep you see," I started, scratching the back of my head awkwardly. "I just thought, that um, I'd go down for a drink, but I heard noises coming from your room..." I drifted off, my cheeks flushed.

"I see..." he his chin.

"Well, I'm um, going to go get a drink now." I started to turn for the staircase, when he took my hand.

"Hey, I was planning on getting a drink aswell, just after I finished that level on the game I'm playing." he furrowed his eyebrows cutely, as he remembered his game. I couldn't help but smile at his statement.

"You're so weird, staying up the whole night playing a computer game." I chuckled.

"Don't make fun of my games!" he cried, pouting.

"I was kidding!" I exclaimed, trying to supress my smirk, "Let go of me, I wanna go drink water." I whined trying to pull my hand away from him, he smiled wickedly, sending goosebumps up my arms.

"Okay, lets go." he didn't let go of my hand until we reached the kitchen where he searched for a spare mug for me to use. "Here," he poured me a mug of warm water and I took it gratefully.

"Thanks," I smiled, "Hey, you didn't tell me anything about the school you know!" I bounced in my seat.

"Aish, this girl." he sighed. "Well, it's made up of four, wait no, five different departments. There is medschool, high school, middle school, elementary and of course the kindergarten." he started, muttering all the different schools.

I grinned, and urged him to continue.

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes at me,  and I started leaning across the table, resting my chin on my propped up elbows, I batted my eyelashes and suprisingly it worked! "Oh okay! It's a chrisitan school and a lot of people go there. Uh, you get taught the usual lessons, you know maths, sciences and stuff." he blurted.

"Oh okay, well I suppose you can help me with my stuff then?" I asked, noticing that it was half-two in the morning. Oh well, I thought to myself, it's nice talking to this guy. Kyuhyun nodded enthusiastically, his eyes wide with excitement.

"Lets go shopping!" he cheered, he smiled widely making me feel light headed.

What's going on with you? He's just a guy! I scolded myself, drinking once more from the mug.  When I finished, I stood up and placed the mug in the sink, washing it slowly. I was soon finished and I walked out of the door silently.

"Sora!" Kyuhyun called.

"Yeah?" I half-turned my body to half-face him.

"Turn around properly." he ordered, I did as I was told and looked at him confused. "If you can't get to sleep, well I can always help with that..." his cheeks flushed scarlet.

"Wh-what?" I stammered, unable to hold in the awkwardness flowing in between us.

"I-I meant that I could always sing you to bed!" he blurted.

"Oh. I uh don't think th-that will be necessary." I reassured him, bolting up the stairs to my room. I shut the door fairly quietly and pulled my covers over my head.

Must sleep. Must sleep. Must sleep. Sing a song!

Song. Song. Song. Celine Dion? Titanic? Why not? My thoughts blabbered continously. I started singing very quietly; there was no need for everyone to know how bad I was when it came to singing.

"Everynight in my dreams..." I fell asleep just as I had started.

Kyuhyun's POV~

I hope she didn't take that weirdly. I thought to myself as I strolled up the stairs, I glanced over at Sora's door but there was no sound.

She must be asleep. I reassured myself, looking up at the glass clock on the wall. Quarter to three in the morning, I was glad to be able to take a break off my recent Super Junior. I walked past Leeteuk's room not making a sound-I swear he must hate me- and eventually lay on the floor in Yesung's room.

Still don't have a bed. I thought to myself. I hope Sora is liking her bed, would she mind if I just slept next to her? It looked so comfy. I wonder if she's fast asleep now. my thoughts all turned towards Sora, and her alone, I shook my head. No, you aren't going to go and sleep next to her. IN HER OWN BED. Think about Sungmin, Kyuhyun. Think about how pissed he'll be.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I walked up to Sora who was sitting on the park bench eating an ice cream happily, it was a hot day and we both wanted to make the most of the sunshine. She turned as she heard my footsteps and her face lit up, I felt my heart flutter and I couldn't help but smile at her. I sat next to her on the bench and took an ice cream from her hand, she had bought one just for me.

"Let's go for a walk." I suggested, Sora smiled and stood up to walk with me. I clasped my hand around her soft, small hands, not lettiing go until we had reached a private, and more quieter area, where no one was around. I abruptly stopped and turned to her, taking her other hand for she had finished her ice cream.

This was the big moment, I thought to myself. Breathing in, I looked into her grey eyes, falling into the depths of them. "Lee Sora, I, Cho Kyuhyun am in love with you. W-will you be my girlfriend?" I admitted to her, not breaking the gaze.

"Yes. I will be your girlfriend." she confirmed, squeezing my hands.

I was overcome with joy.

Then I woke up. Shindong was by my side, snickering.

"Yah, what's your problem?" I grunted, still groggy from how little sleep I had.

"You like Sora don't you?" he asked, his eyes wide with excitement. I felt my cheeks redden with embarrassment. "YAH! YOU DO! OMO!"

"SHH. Don't let Sungmin Hyung know!" I whispered furiously, squinting my eyes since the room was so bright.

"I knew it all along. I knew it!" he cheered.

"Hyung. Please don't tell anyone." I pleaded. "Wait, how did you know?"

"Kyuhyun-shi, you look at her funny, and you dreamt about her." he said to me, raising his eyebrow, "You were dreaming about her right?"

Suddenly the room felt too hot, I pulled the blanket off of my body and slid off the mattress.

"YAH! Answer me!" he ordered. "Or does that mean yes?" I turned and walked out into the hallway, my neck upwards on fire. I was grabbed by the shoulder and became face to face with Shindong. "Ooh, so I was right." nodding approvingly, he sauntered down the stairs, a smug look upon his face.

"Yah! Breakfast's ready!" Ryeowook called from the bottom of the stairs.

I just woke up, I thought to myself sighing. I wandered to the bathroom in a daze, smacking into the closed door. I knocked on the door softly, "Who's in the toilet?"

The door opened and Sora strolled out, her hair tied into a plait. "Hello Oppa." she greeted me, her smile wide.

I nodded sleepily, stalking into the bathroom.

When I came out, Sora was at the top of the stairs holding out a plate with about five pancakes on it.

"Ryeowook Oppa said you were taking too long so I was told to give this to you before Kangin and Shindong Oppa's eat it." she explained. She glided towards me, "So, how long are you going to take?"

"Hm?" I asked her, confused.

"We need to get the school stuff remember? You promised me this morning." she pouted.

"Oh yeah, sorry. I'll be ready soon." I promised, taking the plate from her hands. "Just wait for a moment okay? The mall is quite a distance so we'll need a taxi, unless Sungmin Hyung's planning on dropping us off."

"Sungmin is gone. He had to leave at..." she looked at her watch. "Five this morning."

"I see. Well then, we'll just have to take a taxi won't we?" I smiled at her. She nodded happily.

"I'm going to dress up properly. Sungmin Oppa gave me some money, and Umma might come visit next week, Umma called me this morning." she pushed her hair behind her ear.

"Sora-shi! Have you read the uniform code yet?" Yesung called.

"No! Let me get my prospectus!" she replied, dashing into her room.

I wish I had my own room. I sighed.

I picked up a white polo shirt and a pair of black jeans, I wore a black and white cardigan on top, I quickly ate the -now- cold pancakes. As I left the room, Sora walked out of hers at the same time; her outfit consisting of a white blouse with blue stripes, she wore blue jean shorts with it on her feet she wore white ballerina slippers, in her hands she held a floral handbag and a pair of white sunglasses. She had redone her hair, and tied it into a ponytail, yet the hair was no longer straight, it came out as curls.

"Your outfit is only blue and white!" I scolded her.

"Yah! Yours has only black and white!" she retorted, grabbing my arm she pulled me down the stairs, taking me completely by surprise.

"Wa.. you two look like a couple, how cute." Shindong commented as Sora dragged me into the kitchen.

"It-it's not like that!" I stammered.

"Kyuhyun-shi. Lemme talk to you." I was taken out of the room by Shindong. "I thought you liked her," his question more like a statement.

"I-I think I do." I replied, holding my breath.

Hm, okay we'll see how the rest of the holiday goes. I'm going to call Sungmin and remind him about her uniform, you need a new one too right?" he asked me, changing the subject completely.

"Y-yes Hyung." I agreed, nodding my head.

"Oppa? We need to go now." Sora interuppted.

We bid the rest goodbye as we left the house together. "Okay, here we go!"

We walked down the road together, both of us wearing sunglasses. Her white ones seemed a lot more fancy to my simple black aviators, I felt embarassed, but refused to take it off.

We reached the crosspoint and hailed a taxi, I asked to take us to a small shopping mall. I continued to stare at her sunglasses, "Where did you get your glasses?" I blurted accidently.

Sora chuckled, "Versace, shopping with Umma gets you lots." she grinned making a thumbs up sign.

"Aah, I see." I nodded. "What you going to get?"

"Urm," she took out her notebook from her handbag, "A few new notebooks, textbooks, and stuff."

"Is that it?" I asked, she shrugged, sighing irritably at the letter she was holding, "Hey, what's that?" I moved closer to her, as curious as a newborn kitten.

"It has all the textbooks I need, and I have my new timetable too." she furrowed her eyebrows and puffed out her cheeks, making her seem as if she was five, not seventeen.

"Really? Then I can see what classes I'm in with you!" I bounced in the car seat lightly, my moment ruined by the taxi driver.

"We're here, 40 000 Won" his voice was flat and he sounded bored.

I handed him the bills and put my sunglasses back on, I hope no one reconises me. I thought to myself as I entered the shopping mall with Sora.

"Come, the book store is this way," I dragged her along to the bookstore where it was quiet.

"Okay, Maths." she looked over at her letter.

"Yah, I need to buy a new book too," I started walking to the education department in the store.

She hurried her pace and stood behind me, "These are the books," she took the books from the shelf and placed them in the basket gently. "Notebooks..." her eyes drifted to a Hello Kitty one. "Omo, it's Hello Kitty." she picked it up and placed it in her basket.

"You know you have like eleven other subjects, including a maths jotter." I stated, raising my eyebrows.

Sora rolled her eyes at me, "Yah, I was going to buy different kinds of notebooks." she walked off to the part of the store where the notebooks where at. I watched as she picked up a blue book with a penguin on it, she it softly, admiring the artwork.

"Why can't you just take the exercise books? They're a lot cheaper." I suggested feebly, failing.

"Nah, everyone has exercise books. I want to be different." I noticed that her basket had my textbook in it and I took it out swiftly.

"I'll go get my own basket." and I walked to the till to pick up a basket.

"You buying your school things with your girlfriend?" an old lady asked me suddenly. I jumped at the surprise.

"N-no, I don't have a girlfriend Ahjumma."

"Oh, well, better make a move, that girl is pretty you know." she urged me, her smile wide.

I bowed down, "Um, I can't Ahjumma, she's my friend's sister." I shrugged, before bowing down again, "Well, see you soon Ahjumma" I waved her goodbye and went to search for Sora.

"Boo!" she called out from behind.

I turned and saw Sora smiling at me, her basket already full of notbooks and textbooks. "Aish, you done already?" I asked her.

"Well, yeah..." she made circles with her toe.

"We do use computers quite a bit now you know."

"Yeah, but not all subjects!" she protested, pouting. I instantly felt guilty and put my arm around her shoulder, she shook me off, and started to walk to the till.

I waited until she had paid for her books and quickly did the same. I caught up with her and invited her to the bookstore's cafe, "It'll be fun." I smiled at her and she sighed.

"Fine." she puffed out her cheeks again as I took her to the cafe in the centre of the store.

I let her buy whatever she wanted and remained seated, she returned with a tray of two cups and two cakes.

"Two hot chocolates and chocolate fudge cake." she informed me standing awkwardly.

"Thanks," I stood up and took the tray from her hands.

Sora's phone started ringing, she took out it of her bag and spoke into the phone calmly, "Sungmin what do you want?" she rolled her eyes, and took a drink from her hot chocolate, "No, we're in the cafe. You want to come pick us up? B-but I haven't even gone shopping!" she complained."Okay, see you in ten." she gave in to whatever Sungmin said.

"What did he want?" I asked.

"Wanted to take me home." she replied, her voice monotonous. I didn't reply, for I was scared that I would make her mad, and finished the food. "C'mon, let's go." she took my hand and dragged me out of the store. The van was waiting outside and Siwon smiled kindly, "Oh, so he sends his friends to pick me up."

"Sora. Shh." I shushed her gently.

"Whatever." Sora got into the car and crossed her arms over her chest saying nothing. The whole way home was silent and Sora continued to sigh and pout irritably.

"We're home." Siwon spoke, as we entered the house. And as I predicted, Sora stormed up into her room.
