It was morning the next day when Seohyun slowly opened her eyes. The bright light from the sun outside gave her strength and she glanced at the bedside clock. Slowly, she got up and rubbed her eyes. With another yawn, she said, "Today's the day." Seohyun then jumped off the bed and stretched after opening her windows. "Yonghwa's leaving today. I should get ready."

There was a knock on the door. "Seo baby?"

"Come in, Mom."

The door slowly opened and Mrs. Lee walked in, closing the door behind her. She smiled at her daughter and cupped her face. Seohyun's brows furrowed because it seemed as if her mom was checking her face for dark circles. "Mom?"

Mrs. Lee sighed and sat on her daughter's bed. She looked at Seohyun and motioned her to sit beside her. Seohyun smiled and sat beside her mother. "Are you worried, Mom?"

"Yes, Hyun, I am." Mrs. Lee looked at Seohyun. "I am worried about a lot of things like, can you handle the long distance relationship? Can you balance your studies and your feelings at the same time? Will my baby be truly okay?"

Seohyun leaned her head onto her mother's shoulder and hugged her. "Honestly speaking, Mom, I am worried, too. Will I really handle the pressure without him being physically here with me? Will our relationship stand as strong as we are when we're both here together in Seoul? Things like that came gushing in nonstop to me after I knew of the news, Mom, and I am afraid. I was afraid but Yonghwa promised me that everything will be alright. He assured me and that had calmed my heart, Mom. The only thing left is for us to do our part after he flies to New York."

"My baby is indeed growing up." Mrs. Lee sighed, her daughter's hair. "But you know, this relationship that you have with Yonghwa will either strengthen or break because of distance."

Seohyun nodded. "I have full trust in Yonghwa and in our relationship. Everything will work out, I'm sure of it, Mom."

"I'm sure it will, Seo baby." Mrs. Lee kissed Seohyun's forehead and got up. "Better get ready now, your brother will drive you and Yonghwa's family to the airport. They'll be here in an hour."

"Okay, Mom." Seohyun smiled at her umma. "Thank you."

Mrs. Lee nodded and walked out. Seohyun glanced at the clock again and texted Yonghwa that she'll be getting ready to go. After texting, she gathered up her essentials and went in the shower. Soon after she was done, Seohyun change into a new flowy white blouse and a pair of denim shorts. After checking her hair and her light makeup, Seohyun smiled and made her way down the stairs.

"Look at our baby, all grown up and look! She even put makeup on." Onew exclaimed, drying the nonexistent tears in his eyes. Seohyun playfully slapped his arm and laughed. "And you're not getting any younger."

Mrs. Lee and Mr. Lee chuckled at the light bickering of their kids. Mr. Lee smiled at his daughter and gave her a hug. "Take care today, okay, baby?"

Seohyun nodded. "I will, Dad. Thank you."

He narrowed his eyes at her. "Don't cry too much so you won't smear your makeup, okay?"

"Dad..." Seohyun pouted and all of them laughed. Her dad hugged her and whispered, "Send them our regards."

Onew cleared his throat and looked at the cab parked outside their house. "I hate to break the moment, but they're here."

Seohyun looked up to her dad and he smiled down at her. "Be safe, baby. Everything will be fine. Yonghwa is a great guy."

"Thank you, Dad." She then turned to her mom and gave her a brief hug. "Thank you, Mom."

Mrs. Lee smiled and glanced at the window. "Hurry now. We don't want the Jung family to miss their flight, do we?"

Seohyun chuckled and shook her head.  Onew opened the door for them and let his younger sister go out first. She wasn't surprised to see Yongha waiting for her on the front porch with his back facing her and his hands buried in the pockets of his coat. Seohyun grinned at the sight of him and ran to give him a big back hug. "Oppa!"

Yonghwa smiled and placed his hands over his girlfriend's, giving them a little squeeze. "Ready to go?"

Seohyun buried her face into his back and shook his head. Yonghwa laughed and smirked, walking forward and dragging Seohyun with him. Onew watched them from behind and made a quick overtake. "Hurry up you two sweet love birds! We have a plane to catch, remember?"

"No we don't." Seohyun snickered and Yonghwa turned around to cup her face with his hands. "You heard the old man, Hyun."

"I know, I know." She grinned. Onew looked back at them and frowned. "I'm not an old man, yet!"

Mr. and Mrs. Jung, who heard the conversations, chuckled and reminded them of their flight schedule. Onew helped them place their things into the carrier of the family van while Seohyun and Yonghwa walked to the car, holding hands.

There was a long stretch of comfortable stillness in the car on the way to the airport, even when Onew played a K-indie CD. Mr. Jung sat in front while Mrs. Jung, Seohyun and Yonghwa sat in the back seat. Seohyun had her head on Yonghwa's shoulder a few minutes after they got on the road; Mrs. Jung fell asleep while wearing a neck pillow. Yonghwa had his arm around Seohyun's arm and their fingers were laced together, not mentioning a word about their nearing physical separation. They just held onto each other like they had all the time in the world.

"Flight 012895 to the Philippines is now boarding..."

Seohyun and Yonghwa entered the airport hand in hand. She stared in amazement at how the people inside were all busy and having their own stories. The last time she came here was when Onew was about to board to where he will be migrating and now she was to send away her first boyfriend to New York in this same airport.

"Hyun?"

Seohyun blinked and smiled at Yonghwa. "Hm?"

"You spaced out on me." Yonghwa squeezed her hand gently. "Are you bothered by what's to happen next?"

"I'm sorry, Yong." she apologized, looking down. "A lot's been going about in my head but don't worry about me."

Yonghwa pouted. "How can I not worry when I going to fly to New York and leave my precious girlfriend here in Seoul?"

Seohyun laughed and hugged him. "You're so adorable, do you know that?"

"Of course, I do!" Yonghwa snorted and they laughed. Mr. and Mrs. Jung went in a coffee shop to energize themselves with coff
