"No, mother." Yonghwa stood up, not wanting to hear any more. He tossed the photos onto his father's desk and turned his back on them, glaring and then walking away.

"Yonghwa, we just want the best for you!" Mr. Jung called out. "We want you to marry someone we know who'll be the best for you. Break up with that Lee Seohyun and date Jungsoo's daughter, Park Bomi."

Yonghwa's ears perked up and he turned around, eyes ablaze. "No, dad. I love Seohyun and I know she's the only one for me. I'm sorry but I don't want to date nor marry any of your friends' daughters. They're all the same."

Mr. and Mrs. Jung stared at their son, shocked at his words. With those hanging in the air, Yonghwa turned the doorknob and walked out of the room, ignoring the words his mother was saying after him after she had snapped out from her stupor. Yonghwa fled down the stairs and met Mr. Kang at the foot of it, the latter being not even a bit surprised by the outcome of his young master's visit. "Are you not staying, Young Master Jung?" But he asked the question anyway.

Yonghwa sighed and shook his head. "I'm going back to the dorm."

"Will you be back for dinner tomorrow?" the old man asked, opening the front door for him. Yonghwa stepped outside and turned to the butler. "I don't know, Butler Kang. I don't think I want to see them again, yet. Especially not after how this night turned out."

"Understood, Young Master." Mr. Kang nodded his head. "The driver will give you a ride to the dorm."

"Thanks." Yonghwa bowed and jogged towards the expensive black car that was waiting for him. He got in and told the driver the address of the dorm. When the driver stepped on the gas, Yonghwa lay on the backseat and closed his eyes. I was a fool to even consider giving them a chance. They're still the same setting me up with those spoiled brats.

The next day...

"I will be handing out the test papers with your test scores today, class." Prof. Park announced while going around the room distributing the test papers. When he gave Seohyun her paper, he grinned at her. "Top student, as expected, Ms. Lee. Keep it up!"

"Thank you, Professor Park!" Seohyun beamed.

"As for you, Mr. Jung Jinwoon," the professor frowned. "Study harder, please. I don't want a class rep's grades dropping."

"Yes, Professor Park." Jinwoon sighed. Seohyun raised a brow at him but he smiled at her as if saying it's nothing she should be worrying about. When the Professor got to Yonghwa's table, he smiled. "Great improvement, Mr. Jung Yonghwa. I see the tutorials with the top student paid off. If you keep on improving like this, your music scholarship will be fine."

"Thanks, Prof." Yonghwa took his paper and folded it in two before putting it in his bag. Seohyun's brows furrowed. Why is he acting weird? Shouldn't he be feeling victorious after being told that his grades were improving? Someting's off about him... I wonder if it's got something to do with his parents?

"All right, students! You may now go and spend the remaining twenty minutes of my class wherever you want as long as it's inside the school premises." Prof. Park announced, grinning at the reaction of his English class. Everyone thanked him and went out of the room one by one. Yonghwa went out ahead and waited for Seohyun by the door. Seohyun gathered her things and went after her boyfriend, getting worried by the minute. When their eyes met, she smiled and lightly bumped his arm. "Hey."

"Let's go?" Yonghwa pushed himself off the wall and walked alongside Seohyun. She glanced at him every so often, noticing how he smiled at her but also how it seemed a little sad. When she couldn't hold it in any longer, Seohyun sighed. "What's been bothering you, Yonghwa?"

"Nothing big." He shrugged almost immediately. "Don't worry about it."

Seohyun sighed again, this time holding on to the sleeve of his uniform. Yonghwa frowned and they stopped walking.

"Yonghwa, I've been noticing how different you were acting since earlier. You know I am always here to listen to the problems you're facing in life. We're doing this together, right?"

"I know that," Yonghwa sighed, holding her shoulders. "but I have a feeling you'll hate my family."

"Yonghwa," Seohyun smiled at him. "I know your parents have a reason for whatever it was they did."

"A really crappy reason." Yonghwa mumbled and Seohyun frowned at him. "Your words, Yong."

"I'm sorry." He looked at the ground and stared at their feet. "I just... don't think I can get closer with them anymore."

"Have you tried?" Seohyun asked and Yonghwa shook his head. "I was about to when I got home but they told me stuff I didn't want to see nor hear."

"I'm all ears, Yong."

Yonghwa looked into her eyes and squeezed her shoulders. "Seohyun, they sent a spy to take pictures of us. Heck, there might be one taking pictures of us talking right now and I don't care."

Seohyun was startled at the news but took a deep breath. "Maybe it's their way of keeping track of you and your activities while they're gone?"

"But they know about us, Seohyun. They showed me the pictures last night." Yonghwa clenched his fists. "All of the times we spent together, when we were still starting our tutorials until now. Doesn't it irritate you?"

Seohyun placed a her index finger and thumb on her chin and pursed her lips. "Well, I think it's normal to feel that it might irritate me a little since it's been too long since their last visit. But then again, I always look on the brighter side of things, Yonghwa. I would interpret it as that it's their way of showing concern for me. That they're still looking after me even if they're too far away."

"I understand your point, Seohyun." Yonghwa moved his hands onto her own small ones. "But what if they told you... to break up with me because they want you to meet and marry one of their business' partners' sons?"

Seohyun looked at him with disbelief. "Yonghwa, stop joking. Your parents couldn't be that cruel."

Yonghwa shook his head. "But they are, Seohyun. They want me to break up with you and date some rich, spoiled brat."

"Will you?" Seohyun looked away with tears b her eyes. "If it's what your parents want... go and make them happy, Yonghwa. You know one can never go against their own parents."

"But what about my happiness, Seohyun?" Yonghwa cupped her face, slowly making her look at him. "You are my happiness and they can never make me break up with you. Seohyun, I love you and I will never let you go."

Yonghwa chuckled while wiping the tears that fell her cheeks with his thumbs ang giving her a hug. "Seohyun, we can work this out. There will be a way for us to clear things with my parents. I can prove to them why you are the better choice."

Seohyun buried her face into his shoulder and smiled, loving the feeling of security he has given to her. Yonghwa then helped his girlfriend fix her hair while walking towards Mrs. Lee's office. He held her hand and swayed them back and forth. Seohyun raised a brow at him and smiled. "Be prepared for your next set of tests, Yong."

"What?" he stared at her, startled at the sudden change of mood and topic but was glad of it, nevertheless. "Can't we have a little break from the tutorial sessions?"

"Sorry, no." she shook her head. "We're already behind for two sessions and I won't allow your grades to fall when it had been consistently improving."

"Yes, Ma'am." Yonghwa pouted, while opening the door of the office. They were laughing while stepping in but they stopped when they saw that Mrs. Lee was talking to someone with a temper. Seohyun closed the door and cleared . "Mom?"

Mrs. Lee looked at her daughter with a worried expression that made Seohyun's stomach twist. "Seohyun..."

The lady visitor turned around and stood up, glaring at Seohyun. Her features were incerdibly similar with Yonghwa's and it didn't take a minute for her to connect the dots. "So, we've finally met, Seohyun."

Seohyun placed her right hand over her left and bowed deeply. "Hello, Mrs. Jung. I am Lee Seohyun, Yonghwa's girlfriend."

Without saying anything else, Mrs. Jung smirked and walked towards their direction. Yonghwa tried to get in front of Seohyun but she stood her ground and smiled. Mrs. Jung stopped in front of Seohyun and crossed her arms with eyes glaring into her soul. "I will make myself speak straight to the point, Seohyun. Break up with my son or your family will suffer. You wouldn't want the whole Lee family to suffer because of you, right?"

Seohyun stared at Mrs. Jung in shock, her feet rooted to the ground. Yonghwa glared at his mom, holding Seohyun's arm and Mrs. Jung looked back at Mrs. Lee before walking out of the office with her chin up. "Yonghwa, be home for dinner. WE have a lot to talk about."

Not wasting any moment, Yonghwa shot Seohyun an apologetic look and ran after his mother.

Mrs. Lee ran to her daughter's side and bit her bottom lip. "Honey, I'm sure we can talk Mrs. Jung out of this. Please, calm down."

"Mom," Seohyun looked at her mom with tears in her eyes. "Mrs. Jung said that if I don't break up with him-"

"Hush now dear. I heard what she said." Mrs. Lee embraced her daughter, rubbing her hands onto her back. "Maybe Mrs. Jung was just not having a bad day and that she didn't really mean everything she told you."

"But I heard certainty in her voice, Mom." Seohyun sobbed, the pain in her heart was too much. Mrs. Lee guided her daughter to one of the chairs and gave her a glass of water after. "Seohyun, you sound like you're doing what Mrs. Jung told you to do."

"Mom, I felt the weight of Mrs. Jung's words. I don't want to put the family in harms way nor do I want to break up with Yonghwa... but if breaking up with him will save us-"

"Lee Seohyun, do you hear what you are even saying?" Mrs. Lee raised her voice a bit and it startled Seohyun. "But I don't want Yonghwa's family to be broken even more if we keep this relationship between us." Seohyun buried her face in her hands. "Mom, I don't know what to do. I can't choose between you and Yonghwa. It's too unfair."

Mrs. Lee sighed, lowered her head and closed her eyes. Seohyun, please forgive me...

Meanwhile...

"Mom!"

Mrs. Jung stopped walking in front of the Principal's Office, not turning around to meet her son's eyes. "We'll talk about it at home, Yonghwa."

"YOU CAN'T BREAK US APART!"

Her grip on the doorknob tightened but Mrs. Jung turned around and crossed her arms. "And why can't we? Yonghwa, I am your mother and your father and I have decided that you will date-"

"Mom, I will not date whatever that spoiled brat's name is!" Yonghwa stomped one of his feet with clenched fists. "I LOVE Seohyun and she will be the girl I will marry. You can't buy my happiness even if you sell your goddamned hotel!"

"Jung Yonghwa, what did I ever do wrong that you tell me such bad words?"

Yonghwa scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Mother, ask yourself that question."

"What?" she looked at him in shock. Yonghwa took a step closer to her with balled fists that his nails dented onto his palms. "Mom, you and Dad have been providing me a lot of things since birth and I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm really thankful for the material stuff but you know what's lacking that I've always wanted even over my guitar set?"

Mrs. Jung looked like she wanted to walk away but she cleared and looked away. "What?"

"You and Dad." Yonghwa mumbled, but even if he did, his mom heard him. The school had ended and it's way past dismissal time. T

Chapter 59: I love how you write this story, authornim. I wasnt here yet on AFF when you finished writing this story the first time. So I was curious on the storyline & everything. I bet you must have put lots of effort in editing this story. I always think "editing" is a hard task because you have to make sure everything is better compared to the first one - so that readers will understand & can feel the story better. So well done to you, authornim. :)

I love this story as a whole. Really. It's cute. I always adore love stories between students. But my most favourite part is - specifically - the time when Yonghwa gave Seohyun the perfume he bought for her. I was all giddy when I read that part. It was so cute when he instantly ran away after he gave the perfume to Seohyun. That part really sticks in my mind until now. :)

Overall, I definitely love reading this story & I am so looking forward to your next Yongseo story. Thank you for this story, authornim. And all the best for the next one. Fighting! :)
