Vacations are an absolute necessity after stressful events and I wasn't going to skip something like that. Ignoring the study and papers I had left behind, I decided to just take a break and repair my ego. Baekhyun laughed at me every time he saw me going to the shop in the corner with a cap and a hoodie, but it didn't matter, I wasn't going to let anyone recognize me.

"Sister, no one knows you're an ex convict, so stop hiding", Baekhyun said with a shameful smirk across his face.

"Ex convict? That's exactly why I am hiding, because of people like you", I replied him sourly and got out of the house.

Late nights walks calmed me during this period and I would often stop by Taehyung's shop to get a drink. A soda, nothing alcoholic, I was sick of the teasing. The boys were cruel enough to take any opportunity to tease me with convict and jail related jokes. It was the period around the closing time, just after Taehyung finished aranging the last arrived product and cleaning so we had time for a little chat until he locked the shop and I finished my lemon juice.

"You should have bought something with milk, to help you sleep", Taehyung suggested.

"No thanks, sleep is for losers", I answered causing him to chuckle. He handed me something and when I looked in my palm there was a small package of gum.

"Take it, it's on the house", he added.

"Thanks, I love free stuff", I said eagerly unpacking one gum.

"It has temporary tattoos, you can use them to look tougher, now that you were also in jail", Taehyung succeded saying that through laughs and I shot him a deadly glare.

"Kim Taehyung, how dare you?", I said between teeth and started following him. "You'll be the first person who dies because of a chewing gum!"

He laughed and run out of the store with me after him. I was thinking how could I use that chewing gum to hurt Taehyung when I noticed a person near the store's entrance.

"Hi, hyung, good you're here, save me, please", Taehyung implored dramatically hiding behind Chanyeol back.

"Hi", Chanyeol said, but he was looking at me so the salute must have been directed to me, not Taehyung.

"You're good at saving people anyway", Taehyung said with a devilish look which was soon extinct by the elbow in the stomach Chanyeol threw at him.

I didn't know what to say to him or how to act around him anymore. He was so kind at times, but sometimes I really thought he hated me. After my release, it took a couple of days for the police to dig all our past and sort things out. They were suspecting Taehyung's father for stealing the fabric and then his brother, Jimin for giving it to gangsters for money. It came to the light that what Taehyung's father did was a common practice between employees and the company received a written warning from the police to manage better the residue. They didn't identify exactly who was employee who sold the fabric to Yoongi and his dubious partners so the company took 10% from the salary of all its workers for image damage. Nobody knew how legal was that but everybody was content they could get over just with that. On the other hand, Taehyung felt a little bad for suspecting Jimin again, but it was normal to suspect someone who made mistakes in the past. He did his own digging and prove to be case that Jimin just helped his dad with caring the fabrics and selling them to the madams in the neighborhood. The old ladies were delighted by both the sales and the young and handsome boy, so he had a really nice success and profit. Luckily, the employees got away with only paying 10 percent of their salary and weren't asked to return the profit or money they made from selling the fabric so everybody was happy.

Witness and involved in all this process was Chanyeol who was actually praised by the officers who he worked under. Baekhyun bragged about how brilliant is he and how proud is he to have a friend like that. He was low-key dreaming about being assigned to the same police station or be partners. However, he didn't
