We were in a break when Sehun came. The dance was going really well so we didn’t feel ashamed to show him our progress.

"Fine, I admit you improved", he said. "But I have a little present for you, Mina", he stated smirking.

"I love presents, but coming from you, I don’t know what to say."

He handed me a box and the boys gathered near me to see what’s in it.

"Hyorin gave me this for you, so don’t blame me."

I opened the box and inside there were a pair of red high heels. Shock and hopelessness upon my heart.

"All the time I practice without those, it will be totally different with them", I stated sad.

The boys didn’t know what to say, it wasn’t quite their expertise domain but they wanted to be cheerful.

"You don’t have to wear them if you don’t want to", Baekhyun whispered to my ear. I was thinking about how the dress won’t suit me the same way without them. Hyorin was right to give me those, I should’ve started practicing a long time ago with them. But the thing that made my mind was that I knew Tiffany was going to perform as well. And she wore high heels at college like she was born with them. I should stand up to my competition.

The practice continued and after a while I got used to the shoes. My determination is going to help me. For the boys, for the kids, for Baekhyun and for Chanyeol, I was going to endure it all. The pain came at the end of the practice when I took them off and all my feet were covered with blisters. Lay nearly fainted when he saw a bit of blood. Xiumin had to take care of him. Chen brought me a wet towel and I cleaned my feet. Suho was taking the role of a nurse seriously. He came with a first aid kit, cleaned the wounds and put some bandages on it. D.O gave me his shoes to wear, because of how well Suho wrapped my legs, they didn’t fit into my shoes anymore. Sehun did a kind gesture and dropped us home.

"We’re going to practice tomorrow", I assured the boys left in the car.

"Take care, Mina-sshi", the choir said.

"I don’t understand why women do this to themselves", Baekhyun said opening the door.

"In war men use all kind of weapons, women do that too", I replied him.
