CHAPTER EIGHT: THE BLOOD QUEEN
Storm brewed in his spot as he looked at the three then to wonho. he didn't know what to do and felt his rage build up just the ground around him turning into ash as his pheonix side emerged when he coudln't control his anger. He closed his eyes as he opened them once he heard daehyun.
"yuihwi is not okay to give your blood to them and just leave you here!" she snapped "We will figure something out once we get rid of this !" she stompped her foot.
"what else can we do?" yuihwi coughed out "if i can save them then I will. all of this is my fault. none of this would have happened if i wasn't here nor will something like this will happen again." yuihwi blinked at them
"your talking bull!" hyunwook yelled "none of us get left behind!" he smacked storm. "hey say something - just don't stand there!" he glared at him as storm came out of his trance.
"i don't know what to do." he mumbled as a large of gust of wind blew through that was ice cold.
there was another cold breeze as portal opened up behind the group. the others turned around at the odd colored portal opening up as a figure in a deep black cloak with white snow falling off as the portal closed. the figure was a little taller than yuihwi but had that same haunting, siren like aura but at ten fold experience. Plae snowy white fingers painted a deep blood red pulled back the hood as the figured revealed herself to a woman. she had deep blood red eyes like they locked you in with deep midnight raven hair that framed her face. it was like they were staring at a verison of yuihwi form the future, but with a more mature image. She was wearing something that they would find in yuihwi's closet as she waved her cloak infront of her block the bullets from wonho's soliders. "what a silly boy." the woman spoke in a dead, alluring tone as she dropped her cloak just walking over it in her high heeled boots. As she spoke revealed fang like caines as she raised up an hand and brought her fingers together as wonho whitered to his knees in pain as blood dripped out the corner of his mouth.
"holy . she's like yuihwi but scarier." chanhyuk said
"mom?" yuihwi whispered as the lady looked very much like her aunt expect for the fact her aunt was sliver haired and had a more fairy look than this scary vampirc-domintraix look.
"mom?! she is a little young." hyunwook looked at yuihwi.
"we will have time for chit chat later, little ones." the woman said as she looked at the three girls as a bullet scraped the woman's shoulder. she bent down infrotn of minyoung, jisoo, and yuihwi just pulling the swords out of them and placed her palm on their wound just keeping her other hand in a fist to keep wonho in place. "you three come help, must i do everything myself?" she shook her head as chanhyuk picked up jisoo, shiki picked up minyoung, and storm carried yuihwi. "now you. you drag me out of a dimenssion that its creatures only awaken every after a thousand years because you want my baby's power?" the woman looked at wonho
"the i dos already happened." wonho smirked at her as he threw up blood making a pool as the woman walked through it.
"that means nothing to my kind." she grabbed wonho's chin. she snapped her finger as his soliders fell down as any body opening had blood flowing out of it as she peirced her gaze to wonho. she moved her hand from his chin to his neck just gripping it as black veins appeared on his face as she dropped him. She turned around as she walked over to the group. she pulled out her own spell book just saying a few words as the whole group appeared in a forest of black trees with bats and large korean looking shrine. "follow me, my pets don't bite." she was talking about the different creatures on the property like like human like bats working and patroling or dragon looking bats. There was so different kind of bats flying around as well.
"no offense, but we kill things like them." raven said
"there are friendly dimessions that do not appear on your maps because their portals never open." the woman motioned for the boys to lay the girls on the couch. "they should wake up soon enough. you all may rest here until they are better - well until all of you are better." She said
"thank you." storm looked at her as he had moved from yuiwhi's side as he pulled aways from yuiwhi's hand as the older woman laughed.
"just let her hold your hand. it is a common thing for mages like us. we latch to blood that comfort us." she said as she snapped "that is right, i have not introduced myself. i am yuihwi's mother, hwikyul." she said
"but hwiyeol's mother -" jisoo started
"yes, her adoptive mother is soyi. i am her birth mother." hwikyul informed them as she was making drinks at a counter. "I was still assigned to the grand order when yuihwi was born and left her with soyi to hopefully grow up normally. to your smartass comment earlier about me being too young - once blood mages are fully matured we stop aging and slowly turn immortal become more bat like." she explained
"so i was right when i nicknamed her vampire!" hyunwook blurted
"so yuihwi will look like you soon?" storm asked
"not for a few years or longer. she has human blood mixed. i don't know how long it will take for my half to consume her. her father was human non magical. he left us before she was born." hwikyul passed down the drink tray.
"i am sorry about yuihwi getting caught up with wonho. i should have killed him when i had the chance." storm said
"you weren't ready plus wonho, that bratty child was much more skilled than any of you. you're lucky you're still alive. besides it is my pleasure to knock that dreadful nation down a bit, but his brothers are worse. you all need to starting using these portal destorying as training." hwikyul nodded
"why don't you have a team?" jisoo asked
"they were all killded years ago. i kept on helping nations control their portals and updates maps of nations like wonho's. now that rokia has fallen I should go and find a princess suhye and bring her here. it will be safe for her and them here. my pets will have accomindatinos built soon. my home is open for you all to use until you all feel better. The girls will a few days of rest to be fully restored." hwikyul stood up
"you should stay and talk with yuihwi." storm stared at her
hwikyul sighed. "i am not ready to face that pain. my baby bat will understand. besides i need to go to princess suhye before one os wonho's brothers find her." she stood up as she grabbed a cloak that was hangging up on a hook. "i will tell you that I haven't seen a team like this in a long time. you're doing well." She lifted her hood as she walked out of the door.

chanhyuk looked at woojin from the side lines as he was sitting infront of the couch area where jisoo was resting. "so you are joining us now?" He asked as woojin nodded.
"you know if you want to go get some rest like the others then-" woojin started as he chanhyuk cut him off.
"i am good. why don't you go rest." chanhyuk blinked at him as he didn't move from his spot infront of where jisoo was sleeping. he looked back at her as he sighed. he got up and pulled the blanket over her to her chest just checking to see if she was comfortable and resting well. after this he sat back down just thinking to himself, he couldn't believe that shiki had seen him dreaming about jisoo. he still didn't quite understand all of his feelings right now but they were there. he wasn't trying to be like storm and be an obivous duck about it either though. he rubbed the back of his neck as he yawned just closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep. he jolted awake as he felt someone poking his face.
"hi." jisoo breathed out as chanhyuk got up.
"don't move alot and let me get it." chanhyuk walked to a small in table where a little bat like creature set down some towels and water bowl. "this is yuihwi mother's home." chanhyuk said as he looked back at her as she was sitting up.
"really? the lady that saved us? I was going in and out of concinousness but I saw someone over me." Jisoo said
"yes, she left though to go help princess suhye." chanhyuk sat down infront of her. "be still." he instructed her as he held her chin gently just wiping her face clean.
"but didn't yuihwi get to speak to her!" jisoo said
"she'll come back adn they will get to speak. princess suhye's safety is important." chanhyuk said as he finished just leaning on his knee.
"where is woojin. He must be confused. I should talk to him." jisoo said as she started to get up.
"you need to rest, jisoo. he can be dealt with later." chanhyuk shook his head as he laid her back down. "You need to rest. you need to recharge all of your magic. hwikyul said that it take almost days to do that." chanhyuk said
"well i want to check on minyoung and yuihwi! you can't make me stay here!" jisoo tried to make a crystal to make a small smoke but could make a small stone.
chanhyuk just gave her a look. "do you want me to make a peice of jewelry out of that for you?" HE asked as she hit him in the shoulder. "they are okay. minyoung is with sou and shiki and storm is with yuihwi. the others went to rest or help the bat-people. they are really nice and cool." HE added
"what about the dragon?" Jisoo asked
"he is outside the house in the forest. woojin goes to check on him for you." chanhyuk said with a nod.
jisoo sighed as she huffed and crossed her arms. "when i get up and go check on them?" she asked
"when you can do it yourself and you can't, trust me. just relax. i'll get you anything you want." chanhyuk pulled up the blanket around her shoulders. "i'll go get you some water." HE said as he stood up. he walked to the kitchen as bat beat him to it. "thanks." HE mumbled as he walked back to jisoo.
"they are so cute. they are little helpers." jisoo said as she took the cup and sipped on it. "I think i am going to take a nap." jisoo handed him the cup back.
"okay, that is a good idea. here let me help you." chanhyuk helpped her lay down. "let me know if you need anything else." chanhyuk got her comfortable again. He sat there as she fell asleep again as he brushed stray hairs out of her face.

storm sighed as he looked at yuihwi resting as she was holding his hand as he was thinking about what to tell her when she woke up. he looked down at her just finising cleaning off the dried blood from her face as her eyes fluttered a little. "yuihwi?" He asked
"where am I?" she asked
"your mother's home. she left to help princess suhye, she is sorry for not being able to talk to you. she killed wonho and healed you three." storm said as he looked down at her
"oh okay." yuihwi looked at him. "were you mad at me for trying to give my blood up for the other two? i could feel -" she started
"no, i was mad at myself for not being able to do anything." storm said "you don't have to worry about them coming for you anymore." he said
"but what about his other brothers? what if they come for me? techincally we are married - how do we get rid of this." yuihwi said
"your mom said something about it not counting to her people? i don't know, we will deal with it. techincally you are a widow in the sense so i don't think it matters." storm watched her pushed herself up as he helped her. storm watched her brushed her hair back as she sighed. "are you feeling okay?" HE asked
"I am just sleepy but I don't want to sleep." yuihwi looked at him she was too tired to fight him as he laid her head on his shoulder.
"i'll be here so don't worry about fall asleep." storm told her "you need your rest." HE added
"i feel like i've been sleeping for ages. are jisoo and minyoung okay?" she asked
"yes, they are okay. they are resting like you should be." storm said
"stop that it is annoying." yuihwi eyed him.
"me caring about you is annoying?" He asked as he whinced as she his blood stopped for a second as he felt the twinge in his heart. "why did you do that?" He looked at her
"don't treat me like a baby." yuihwi snapped as she side eyed him again.
"i am sorry but you stopped the blood flow of my heart. don't do that." storm told her
"then don't annoy me." yuihwi bantered back.
"will you two shut up! god damn it. I am trying to sleep!" jineul shouted at them.
storm shook his head. "sorry." storm said as he looked down at Yuihwi who had closed her eyes. he chuckled as he started to lay her down as yuihwi pulled him down with her as storm ended up under her with her laying her head on his chest as he frozed in his spot. "yuihwi, i uhm-" storm started
"shut up and just be happy she did it in her sleep." jineul looked at him. "get some rest. you need it too." HE said as storm sighed.

shiki was sitting next to sou as minyoung was still sleeping. he sighed as he wasn't dreaming walking anymore after his adventure in chanhyul's mind. He sighed as he looked over to sou. "when do you think minyoung will wake up?" he asked as he had already cleaned up minyoung the best he could with out doing something she wouldn't like.
"I am not to sure. she almost died." sou yawned as he was laying down on the floor with a blanket over him and using a couch pillow as a something to rest his head on. "why are you worried." he reached out and nudged him.
"shut up, i am not." shiki crossed his arms. "I am just tired of waiting." HE replied as he looked back at minyoung.
"sure." sou answered back
"don't read me!" shiki reached out and kicked the other. he glared at his other half as minyoung stirred in her sleep. shiki watched her roll over and he caught her before she fell off. "ah, heavy." shiki mumbled under his breath as he rolled her back on the couch.
"what happened?" minyoung yawned as she stretched her arms.
"well before you almost died or after?" shiki asked
"after, stupid." minyoung rubbed her shoulders at she sat up.
"yuihwi's mom saved our butts and brought us here. don't move so fast. she said it would take time for your body to recover. lay down and be lazy like that isn't too hard for you." shiki was kicked by sou as minyoung frowned
"be nice." sou rolled on his side. "don't kill each other or -" he was kicked by shiki.
"shut up!" shiki snapped at him. "just go to sleep." He grumbled as he huffed crossing his arms. he looked back at minyoung who had rolled over on her side just having her back face him. "do you need anything?" he asked
"nope, i am just being lazy. leave me alone, i don't feel good." minyoung pulled her blanket over her head.
"well that is what happens you almost die." shiki whinced as minyoung kicked him in the head as she got comfortable. he just huffed as he laid down next to sou just pulling a blanket over him and laying on a pillow just going to sleep.

hwikyul kept her hood up as she followed the path to the secret area that princess suhye and the others would be. she entered just lowering her hood as she searched for the princess amongst the crowd. she finally found her as she walked over. "Princess suhye, i am sorry for your loss. i'm hwikyul - one of your father's grand order soliders. I have been helping friendly dimenssions create safer portals and help some destory their portals for good so no one will get hurt." hwikyul said
"yes, my dad spoke of your group once squad nine left. he remebered yuihwi looked a like you." suhye responded as she looked at her.
"I have a dimenssion ready for everyone and the towns people. it is a dimenssion of bat like people and creatures - but feed on fruit. they are more than welcome to share their world with us. there is temporary housing built for everyone, but everyone should soon have a home to call their own again until we can reclaim rokia." hwikyul said
"that sounds lovely, thank you for all of this." suhye turned to ardyn. "please gather the townsfolk and left over military to miss hwikyul's portal and make sure eveyrone knows the lovely bat people come in peace and wish to help us." suhye instructed him.
"Alright if this is want you want." ardyn said as he walked off.
"it is." suhye said as she turned to hwikyul.
"wonho is dead, but rokia is far from safe. one of his brothers must have taken his place by now. granted, i killed him so there is a big bounty on my head but you should be safe as they don't know I am a rokia warrior but just someone girl's mother." hwikyul watched adryn and a few other soliders guiding everyone in the portal. hwikyul let suhye go in front of her . once everyone was in the portal, hwikyul destoryed it and let her bat friends guide the townsfolk to their new homes for now as hwikyul, suhye, and ardyn headed to her home.
"yuihwi is not okay to give your blood to them and just leave you here!" she snapped "We will figure something out once we get rid of this !" she stompped her foot.

jisoo sighed as she huffed and crossed her arms. "when i get up and go check on them?" she asked

"your mom said something about it not counting to her people? i don't know, we will deal with it. techincally you are a widow in the sense so i don't think it matters." storm watched her pushed herself up as he helped her. storm watched her brushed her hair back as she sighed. "are you feeling okay?" HE asked
"I am just sleepy but I don't want to sleep." yuihwi looked at him she was too tired to fight him as he laid her head on his shoulder.
"i'll be here so don't worry about fall asleep." storm told her "you need your rest." HE added

"yes, they are okay. they are resting like you should be." storm said
"stop that it is annoying." yuihwi eyed him.

storm shook his head. "sorry." storm said as he looked down at Yuihwi who had closed her eyes. he chuckled as he started to lay her down as yuihwi pulled him down with her as storm ended up under her with her laying her head on his chest as he frozed in his spot. "yuihwi, i uhm-" storm started
"shut up and just be happy she did it in her sleep." jineul looked at him. "get some rest. you need it too." HE said as storm sighed.

shiki was sitting next to sou as minyoung was still sleeping. he sighed as he wasn't dreaming walking anymore after his adventure in chanhyul's mind. He sighed as he looked over to sou. "don't read me!" shiki reached out and kicked the other. he glared at his other half as minyoung stirred in her sleep. shiki watched her roll over and he caught her before she fell off. "ah, heavy." shiki mumbled under his breath as he rolled her back on the couch.
"what happened?" minyoung yawned as she stretched her arms.
"well before you almost died or after?" shiki asked
"after, stupid." minyoung rubbed her shoulders at she sat up.
"yuihwi's mom saved our butts and brought us here. don't move so fast. she said it would take time for your body to recover. lay down and be lazy like that isn't too hard for you." shiki was kicked by sou as minyoung frowned
"be nice." sou rolled on his side. "don't kill each other or -" he was kicked by shiki.
"shut up!" shiki snapped at him. "just go to sleep." He grumbled as he huffed crossing his arms. he looked back at minyoung who had rolled over on her side just having her back face him. "do you need anything?" he asked
"nope, i am just being lazy. leave me alone, i don't feel good." minyoung pulled her blanket over her head.
"well that is what happens you almost die." shiki whinced as minyoung kicked him in the head as she got comfortable. he just huffed as he laid down next to sou just pulling a blanket over him and laying on a pillow just going to sleep.

hwikyul kept her hood up as she followed the path to the secret area that princess suhye and the others would be. she entered just lowering her hood as she searched for the princess amongst the crowd. she finally found her as she walked over. "Princess suhye, i am sorry for your loss. i'm hwikyul - one of your father's grand order soliders. I have been helping friendly dimenssions create safer portals and help some destory their portals for good so no one will get hurt." hwikyul said
"yes, my dad spoke of your group once squad nine left. he remebered yuihwi looked a like you." suhye responded as she looked at her.
"I have a dimenssion ready for everyone and the towns people. it is a dimenssion of bat like people and creatures - but feed on fruit. they are more than welcome to share their world with us. there is temporary housing built for everyone, but everyone should soon have a home to call their own again until we can reclaim rokia." hwikyul said
"that sounds lovely, thank you for all of this." suhye turned to ardyn. "please gather the townsfolk and left over military to miss hwikyul's portal and make sure eveyrone knows the lovely bat people come in peace and wish to help us." suhye instructed him.
"Alright if this is want you want." ardyn said as he walked off.
"it is." suhye said as she turned to hwikyul.
"wonho is dead, but rokia is far from safe. one of his brothers must have taken his place by now. granted, i killed him so there is a big bounty on my head but you should be safe as they don't know I am a rokia warrior but just someone girl's mother." hwikyul watched adryn and a few other soliders guiding everyone in the portal. hwikyul let suhye go in front of her . once everyone was in the portal, hwikyul destoryed it and let her bat friends guide the townsfolk to their new homes for now as hwikyul, suhye, and ardyn headed to her home.
