Chapter 15
The Monster In My HeadThe words Jin Ae kept to herself where now out, her mother couldn't believe that the girl who never raised her voice at her was now shouting words coated with such hate.
Namjoon and Suga where just as shocked as Jin Ae's mother. Knowing that her mother was going to walk off from the cafe any moment, both the guys quickly walked back to their dorm.
The walk back to their dorm was silent as hell with a pinch of awkwardness in it. Neither Namjoon nor Suga knew how to start a conversation after what they had witnessed.
"Umm.... did you know??" - Namjoon finally broke the ice.
"Know what?" - Suga questioned back.
"About her relationship with her mother" - Namjoon hesitantly asked.
"No. You?" - Suga wanted to give a witty answer, since He "barely" knew about Jin Ae. Let alone her family history.
Jin Ae was Namjoon's classmate not Suga's. But Suga kept quite sensing the serious mood. Namjoon was quite shocked after witnessing Jin Ae's outburst. This was the first time he saw the girl who always seemed dull with such fury in her eyes. Her grey eyes sparked with anger she had for her mother. This was the first time Namjoon sensed such strong emotion coming from Jin Ae.
"No" - Namjoon gave a plain reply and the walk back to the dorm again became a silent one.
Jin Ae was busy cleaning the mess made by her mother when she heard a familiar voice call her out.
"Jin Ae.. What the hell! Was there an earthquake here!?" Haru asked, quite shocked looking at the condition of the cafe.
"Well you can say that... my mother was here." - Jin Ae confessed and the shocked expression which Haru's face wore was now turned into a worried one.
"What did she say?" - Haru questioned, her playful tone now gone.
" Just her usual crap." - Jin Ae mumbled.
" Elaborate on 'Just her usual crap', I'm going to wack the out of that lady if she cursed at you."
" Oh, I don't think you need to do it. Jin Ae handled her pretty well, I don't think she is going to show her face ever again." - Jin Ae's co-worker who had witnessed the whole incident answered.
The three girls sat down comfortably after closing the cafe and had a long talk on the incident that took place. The co-worker was very sweet and assured Jin Ae that the incident wouldn't be told of to anyone else.
Jin Ae was both mentally and physically exhausted when she reached back home, it didn't take her much time to fall asleep. But someone woke her up from her deep slumber, someone unexpected.
Her giggle echoed through the empty lane surrounded by a garden of Anemone's, the sun shone brightly, her jet black wavy hair dazzled under the sun.
"Catch me~" - the little girl chirped, only her back visible to Jin Ae.
The girl kept running further and further away from Jin Ae.
"Wait!" - Jin Ae shouted, unknowingly following the girl.
"Catch me~~" - the girl's playful giggle grew louder when she realized that Jin Ae was following her.
"What's your name?" - Jin Ae questioned, her pace fastening.
"Catch me" - was the only thing the little girl repeated, her name and identity still unknown.
Jin Ae had managed to cover the long distance between her and the little girl and was about to catch the girl but before she could do so, she woke up.
Jin Ae slowly opened her eyes only to find Haru looking at her in horror, a breakfast tray in her hand.
"Is there a ghost in here?" - Haru questioned, her voice barely audible.
"Huh?" - Jin Ae questioned, still trying to get a grip over herself.
"IS.THERE.A.GHOST.IN.HERE?" - Haru repeated herself, keeping the tray in the nearest table and getting ready to jolt out of the house.
"No..no there isn't." - Jin Ae answered, she herself was confused about what was going on.
"Then whom were you talking to? You asked someone their name, were you sleep talking?" - Haru asked after taking a sigh of relief.
"I don't know.... it's weird."
"What's weird? Sleep talking?"
"No... I think I just had a dream" - Jin Ae avowed - " It's the first time I had a dream, first time since I started seeing ghosts. First time in 4 years."
"Ummm... so it's a good thing?"
"I don't know, I hope so." - Jin Ae answered, silently praying for it to be a good thing. But only time would answer that, all she could do was wait.
After having a heartly breakfast, Jin Ae left to college. Surprisingly, today seemed to be brighter than usual, everyone seemed to wear a smile on their face, the usual gloomy way seemed welcoming.
"Good Morning!" - Jin Ae playfully hit Namjoon.
"Oh...ah... yeah..go-good morning..." - Namjoon replied, inadvertently taking a step away from Jin Ae. Unable to shake off the incident that happened yesterday in the cafe. He still couldn't believe that even after going through so much yesterday, Jin Ae still had a smile on her face.
"So, you are again plannin
