The Stage Is Set The Curtain Rises

“So… my offer still stands, if you need to reconsider.”

Ji Eun frowned unhappily listening to his voice; she knew he got to have something up in his sleeves to suddenly call her in the middle of the night.

“What do you mean Ki Ha shi?”

“Come back to me…,” he said confidently.

Ji Eun couldn’t help to scoff hard when she heard his offer.

“How many times should I tell you that my answer is still the same?” Ji Eun said feeling annoyed. She regretted her decision in answering his call, the only reason she still did it was just because she respected him as a Sunbae, and now she wondered if she probably better put him in blacklist.

“… and that’s your final answer?”

Ji Eun bit her lower lips suddenly feeling anxious for some reason, he sounded placid... too much in fact, and that’s kind of making him more suspicious.

‘… what is this? Why is he so calm? Where is his usual sinister, mean and outburst anger gone to?’

“Well? Did I make you rethink your answer?” His voice pulled her out of her thoughts.

“…No, my answer still stands the same. Let’s just keep sunbae hobae relationship.”

There was a long pause from his side and Ji Eun could feel it in her guts that he probably had something bad prepared for her.

“I see… so I guess this is where the final decision pulls the stage curtain,” he finally spoke out and Ji Eun sweared that she could hear him smirk sinisterly.

“Have fun … Lee Ji Eun shi.”

And with that last word he ended his call without waiting for her response, leaving Ji Eun feeling sick to her core.

 Ji Eun woke up with a start; her phone buzzing a long with her apartement door rang frantically. She couldn’t sleep well last night after Ki Ha’s call even though in the end she fell asleep somewhere along the first line of dawn. She woke up  dizzy and drowsy. She checked on her phone; 20 misscalls from her managers and CEO. The ring on her door started to combine with some loud banging. Whoever it was he sounded really impatient. Her phone rang again it was Hanteo oppa, she quickly answered while stagerring towards the door.

“Open the door IU shi!!” His shouting slapped her ear drums hard which made her push her head away from her phone.

‘This feels like I got a hangover without even drinking.’  She rubbed her forehead trying to ease the pain that set on her head.

“IU shi!!”

“I am opening the door oppa, “ she responded while opening her door. She found him a long with Jjung oppa and her CEO.  The look on their faces were more than enough for her to realize that bad news was coming.

“What happened?” she asked worriedly.

“That son of a ! He stabbed us in the back!” Jjung shouted in an instant right after they all entered her apartment.

“Calm down Jjung! You are making IU shi confused.” Hanteo said in a controlled anger. Suddenly Ji Eun was reminded  on her last call with Ki Ha and she didn't really need to be a genious to draw the line between them to realize who was Jjung angry at.

“Ki Ha?”

“I am sorry that we decided to do the emergency meeting here, we have tried to contact you since early this morning but since you didn’t answer our call so here we are. For now I need you to sit down, we need a cool head to talk about this,” Yoon Sung-sik led her to her sofa, followed by her two managers.

Ji Eun looked at all of them warily waiting for them to throw the bad news in.

“It is Ki Ha shi,” her CEO inhaled deep before continuing his words, “he announced your break up without our consent and what makes it worst… he said the break up happened a week after your Taiwan concert.”

Ji Eun ‘s eyes went wide, “What! But… but that’s not true and…”

“Yes, and now people are starting to question about Joon Gi shi position in this situation,” Hanteo cut her words, his clenched jaw showed how much he tried to surpress his anger.  

“No!” Ji Eun quickly opened her browser and typing his name on search. Her shoulders dropped in devastation when she saw those articles.

‘This is not what supposed to be happen, I was going to announced the break up with the actual time  and detail, and then … on his birthday encore fan meeting we are going… were going to announced our relationship…, Now? ottoke’

“IU shi…” Yoon Sung-sik voice distrubbed her train of thoughts, “don’t worry, we can handle this. Let us take care of it, but to be honest…this changes a lot of our plans.”

Ji Eun gazed at him; horrified to what came next.

“With your upcoming new album, it is not a good idea to fight over the real story behind your break up, so … I am sorry to say this IU shi, but the plan on announcing you and Joon Gi shi relationship is bad for business.”

Ji Eun heart dropped to the lowest,  her mind kept repeating  Ki Ha last words in a lop.

‘… why do I feel that … this is just the beginning of his all schemes? ‘
