Scynthia’s POV

 

“We hope you all had an amazing time tonight!” Rose yells out to the crowd.

I look out into the massive crowd of people who are screaming and yelling, while holding up signs and symptoms posters and waving their lightsticks all around.

The crowd goes wild at Rose’s words.

“You know, this concert is pretty special to us,” Jeong says.

“Well why is that?” Hyun asks 

“Oh come on, don’t pretend that you don’t know Hyun,” I say before chuckling.

“Oh trust me, he isn’t pretending,” Rose says, making the crowd laugh.

“Seriously, we can’t even have a nice conversation with our fans without you two fighting,” Jeong says in his leader like voice.

“How about we let Ann tell everyone why this is a special day for us,” I say, earning cheers from the crowd.

“Well, today is Royalty’s one year anniversary!” Ann exclaims, earning cheers and screams.

“Wow, can you believe it? We’ve been Royalty for a whole year. Time sure does fly by doesn’t it?” I ask.

“I cant believe I lasted a year with that punk over there,” Hyun jokingly says.

“What was that fool?” Rose yells. The crowd continues to laugh at their bickering. They might think it’s all for show but trust me, it’s all real ladies and gentlemen. Every single, annoying part of it.

“Anyways,” Jeong disrupts their dispute, “I have to say, we’ve had one heck of a year but I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” he says, earning back many and I mean many awwws.

“We just wanna thank all of you guys, from the bottoms of our hearts!” I say.

“Without your guys’ support, we wouldn’t be here,” Hyun continues.

“Everything we’ve achieved and accomplished is all thanks to you,” Jeong says.

“We love you guys so much and we hope that you continue to love and support us. We do this for all of you. . .our Royals,” Ann finishes.

“Thanks you for sharing this special night with us,” I say.

Jeong begins our greeting, “One, two, three, we are”

“Royalty!” we all say as we do our sign and bow.

As I lift my head back up, the crowd begins to chant, Royalty! Royalty! Royalty!

I began blowing kisses to the crowd and making hearts.

We soon begin waving to the crowd as we walk off the stage.

 

 

 

 

“Man, I think that was our best concert yet!” Hyun exclaims.

“Agreed oppa! The fans were full of energy tonight!” Ann cheerfully says.

“Yeah, we all did really well tonight! Good job making our first anniversary concert a good one,” Jeong adds.

“I’m sad that it’s over but I am in need of a shower and maybe a nap,” Rose says.

“Don’t you guys want to celebrate? I mean, tonight is a pretty special night,” I say, trying to hint at something.

“What else is going on besides Royalty’s anniversary?” Rose asks.

“Yeah, besides, I told Eunji I would see her tonight. We haven’t seen each other in forever since we’ve been performing a lot,” Hyun says.

“Really? You’re just going to leave me on this special night?” I ask.

“What? It’s not like it’s your birthday because it passed. And trust me, I do not want to relive that night,” Jeong says while shaking his head.

“Yall were too turnt that night,” Ann says before giggling, “I got so much footage.”

“Which will never be shown. But seriously, you guys don’t know what tonight is?” I ask again.

I stare at them. They all have blank expressions on their faces.

“Some group members you guys are. It’s my wedding anniversary!” I exclaim.

They all stare at each other in silence.

“Well damn. We done ed up,” Rose says.

“Whatever, just continue on with your plans. It’s not like Hobi is free anyways. He said he was stuck at the company tonight,” I sadly say.

“I’m free. We could always just watch T.V. and eat some junk food. We don’t have any shows for a while so we don’t have to watch what we eat, thank goodness,” Ann says.

“I guess the rest of you have plans?” I assume.

“Yeah, date night,” Rose says.

“Sorry, Scyn,” Jeong says.

“It’s alright. Go ahead and enjoy your guys free night,” I say.

Just then, our dressing room door opens and in comes Hyejin.

“Hey noona!” Hyun says.

“Hey guys. Awesome show you guys gave tonight. I’m very proud of you. You all came very far both as a group and individually this year. I’m also glad that I was able to be a part of your guys’ journey. Hopefully you guys aren’t tired of me yet,” unnie says with a smile.

“Of course not unnie! You are seriously the best manager any group could have!” Ann exclaims.

“No !” Rose happily says, earning a glare from unnie.

“Yeah. You deserve an award for dealing with dumb and dumber here,” Jeong says.

“Rose is dumber,” Hyun says, making us all laugh, well, except Rose.

“Thanks guys. It means a lot to me. So what are your plans tonight?” she asks.

“Oppas and unnie are going on dates. Me and Scynthia are gonna chill at the dorm,” Ann says.

“Alright, you three be careful. There’s a van out front for yall, so I suggest you three hurry up and change,” unnie says to them before looking at me and Ann. “I’ll take you two back to the dorm,” she says with a smile.

“Alright, thanks noona,” Jeong says.

They soon began to get ready. Hyejin unnie walked up to me.

“By the way, happy one year wedding anniversary,” she says to me before pulling me into a hug.

I smile and hug her back. Once I pull away, I say, “Least someone remembered!”

“It’ll be fine. Why don’t you get changed?” she asks and I nod in reply.

 

 

Soon, me, Ann, and Hyejin are heading to the van. Hyun, Jeong, and Rose already left about twenty minutes ago.

We exit the door, only to get bombarded with fans.

“Omg! SCYNTHIA! I LOVE YOU!”

“ANN! WE LOVE YOUR DANCING!”

“SCYNTHIA YOU SLAY! SLAY!”

I couldn’t help but smile at the last one. I look at Ann who’s beside me and we both nod. We bring are arms up and make a heart and stay in the pose for a while, so the fans could take pictures. The fans went wild. Flashes from cameras went off and cheers and screams were heard.

“Alright girls, let’s get going now,” Hyejin says. 

Me and Ann wave at the fans before entering the van.

 

 

We arrive at our dorm. We walk into the building then soon entered the elevator.

Once to our floor, we step out with Ann and Hyejin following behind me.

We make it to our room but I realize I forgot my key.

“Can once of you guys open the door? I don’t have my key,” I say.

“I’ll just give you mine and you can just open it yourself,” Ann says to me as she hands me her key.

“You couldn’t just open it?” I say to her. She just shrugs in return.

I roll my eyes and shake my head before unlocking the door. I open it, only to find all the lights are off.

“Did they forget to leave a light on? Geez, it’s not that hard to do,” I say.

“SURPRISE!”

“Ahh! ing !” I yell as I place a hand on my fast beating heart. I can see a heart attack in the near future.

I scan our dorm, only to see BTS, Royalty, and Lauren.

“What is this?” I ask, stil shocked from the scare.

Hoseok comes up to me and places his hands on my waist. “Happy anniversary, babe,” he says before pecking me on the lips.

“I thought you were stuck at the company?” I ask.

“And miss our first wedding anniversary? No way. Besides, I only told you that so I could plan the surprise,” he says.

“Well believe me, I am definitely surprised.”

He leans in, his mouth next to my ear. “Being prepared. There’s a lot more where that came from,” he says before pulling back and putting a smirk on his face.

“Alright, no PDA,” Jungkook says.

I couldn’t help but giggle.

“Thanks guys. I really didn’t expect this at all,” I say.

“You are more than welcome!” Lauren says with a smile.

“That was the plan, “ Rose says.

“Geez. Can we have a break from your sass for like an hour? Is that so hard to do?” Hyung asks.

“Yeah, I can put a break on my sass but you can’t take a break from being ugly,” Rose retorts back.

“Tch. If this is your definition of ugly, then I definitely don’t want to know what you think is good looking,” Hyun says.

“Guys. Can we not. It’s their anniversary so chill out,” Jeong speaks.

“Food!” Ann yells running inside the dorm.

“Control your girl Jimin,” Yoongi says with a chuckle.

“I can't stand in the way of her and food,” Jimin says with a smile.

“First ofmm, I’m no one’s mgitk,” Ann says with a bite of her turkey burger in  

“Dang you Ann. You will learn some freaking manners,” Rose says while giving Ann a slap upside the head.

Ann swallows her food before glaring at Rose. “I could have choked! Anyways, I said I am no one’s girl and that he is right. Food is number one in my heart.”

“I really don’t know how you can eat all of this food and still look like that. There’s only so much dancing can do,” V says.

Ann just shrugs.

“She is my lil fatty,” I say with a giggle.

“And I’d like to keep her that way. I enjoy the lil fatty behind her,” Jimin says with a smirk.

Ann just froze at the comment but everyone else burst into laughter.

“Well, let’s get to presents so Scyn and Hoseok can go on their way,” Jin says after shooting a glare at Jimin.  I could only shake my head. He’s still so protective of her.

“I’m okay with that! I’m ready for gifts!” I say as we all make our way to the living room.

 

I noticed Ann sit next to Jin, ignoring the existence of Jimin. I laugh inside my mind, that girl, getting embarrassed over the tiniest things.

“Alright,” Hoseok says as he sits next to me, “who’s first?”

“We’ll go!” Jeong and Hyung say at the same time. I was pretty intrigued in what they got us.

They hand in our gift wrapped gifts.

Hoseok opened his first. “Oh wow. You guys got my favorite movie,” he says with a smile. I look to see what’s in his hands, only to see it is actually his favorite movie, If Only.

I then open mine, only to see one of my favorite cartoons, Jimmy Neutron.

“Aw, thanks guys!” I say before giving Hyung and Jeong each a hug.

“Well Hoseok, I wish you luck dealing with her and Carl singing,” Lauren says as she shakes her head. I didn’t even respond to that. I mean, it’s true. Carl is my dude.

“Anyways, no problem. We figured you guys could watch these on one of our nights off, since it’s kinda hard to go to the movie theater now,” Jeong says.

“Yall could chill among other things,” Hyun says while wiggling his eyebrows.

“Oh my god,” I say.

“Good thinking, man,” Hoseok says, which earns him a playful slap on his arm.

“Oh! Me and Taehyung hyung next!” Jungkook says. I notice him look at Ann, though. What’s going on here?

Jungkook gets up and hands Hoseok the gift. It’s a box of some sorts.

Hoseok opens it and he looks up with a glare.

“Really guys? Really?” he asks, but it looks like he’s trying to not laugh.

“What’d they get us?” I ask looking over his arm, only to widen my eyes.

Just then, Jungkook, Tae, and Ann burst out laughing.

“Oh my goodness, good job guys,” Ann says before giving them each a high five.

“What’d they give you?” Jin asks.

I turn my head towards Ann.

 “Condoms. They gave us a box of condoms. This was all your idea wasn’t it?”

“It’s a gift from Kookie and Taehyung. My name isn’t on it,” she says before laughing.

"Since you guys have your new apartment, we thought it'd be a good gift idea," V says.

“Why wasn’t I included in this?” Hyun asks.

Ann shrugs. “They wanted gift ideas so I suggested some.”

“Wow, I have to say. That was pretty funny,” Yoongi says.

“Not you too!” I say to Yoongi.

“Wow Ann. I would’ve never expected it from you,” Jimin.

“Seriously! You’re supposed to be my innocent donsaeng!” Jin exclaims.

“Innocent my ,” me and Rose say at the same time.

“Rude! I am as innocent as it gets in this group!” Ann says.

“That’s like saying Kookie is innocent,” Jimin says with an eye roll.  Ann just glares at him.

“Alright, next,” Jeong says with the shake of his head.

“We can go next,” Rose says.

“Is it a normal gift?” I ask her.

“Yes it is,” Namjoon says.

“You’re not giving me a math book or something are you?” I ask, making Hoseok laugh.

“No. I wouldn’t give that to yall. Jungkook maybe, but not you two,” Namjoon says.

“Hyung!” Jungkook yells.

“It’s alright, Kookie,” Lauren says as she pats Jungkook’s shoulder.

Rose just shakes her head while giving the present to me.

“Happy Anniversary, Scyn,” she says to me.

I smile and open the present.

“Rose! It’s so pretty! Thank you!” I say before hugging Rose. “You too Namjoon. Thanks!”

“I just got some pictures, she’s the one who put em all together and made them look nice,” Namjoon says.

“Wow, it really looks nice. Looks professional,” Hoseok says.

 

It went like this for about twenty minutes, opening presents and just having fun. It’s been a while since we’ve all been together like this. We’ve been so busy with our schedules that we don’t hang out like we used to.

“Wow. Thanks for your gifts guys,” Hoseok says with a smile.

“Wait, we didn’t get one from Ann,” I say looking at her.

She just shrugs. “Maybe I didn’t get you one.”

I look at Jimin who shrugs, too. “I have no idea. She wouldn’t tell me anything.”

Ann rolls her eyes. “You'll see mine later,” she says. Before I could respond back, Hobi speaks.

“Alright. Now that we had our party, it’s time for my surprise,” he says.

I raise an eyebrow. “Should I be excited or scared?” I ask.

“Well, I know I’m excited. Maybe these box of condoms will come in handy,” he says while wiggling his eyebrows.

“Oh come on. Just cause they got you them doesn’t mean we need to know when they’re gonna be used,” Lauren says with a look of disgust on her face.

“This is our cue to leave,” the guys say.

“Where are you all going?” I ask.

“Dates,” Jin says.

“Oppa! You didn’t tell me! Is she nice? Is she pretty? She’s not crazy is she?” Ann bombards him questions.

“I’ll let you know after. It’s our first date,” he says.

“Good luck oppa!” Ann exclaims.

“Good luck,” I say, “the girl will be lucky to be in your presence,” I say jokingly.

“Oh, I know,” he says before leaving. Well then.

“Well, me and Rose will be in our dorm if you need us,” Namjoon says.

“So that means, don’t disturb us,” Rose says.

“Why would a sane person disturb you on their own free will?” Hyun asks, making me laugh.

“Why you-“

“Come on babe, Pride & Prejudice awaits us,” Namjoon says while grabbing Rose’s hand and pulling her out the door.

The rest of the guys leave as well. Apparently they all had dates.

“Get a jacket or sweater, Scyn, then we can head out,” Hobi says.

“Alright,” I say as I head to my room. I go to my closet and grab a jacket. As I head out the room, Ann goes in and closes the door.

I head back to the living room. “Wow. You done did it with that comment, huh?” I ask Jimin.

Jimin just smiles and shakes his head. “Don’t worry,” I tell him, “it’s her first relationship. Besides, with everything that’s happened, she’s a bit insecure. She’s just gonna have to get used to the fact that a decent guy actually likes her.”

“Yeah, I know. I just wish it wasn’t that way,” he says.

“I know it can be frustrating,“ I say.

“Yeah, in more ways than one,” he says quietly but I definitely heard him. He doesn’t mean what I think he does,  does he? Me and Ann are going to have a serious talk . Should I even leave them here by themselves?

“Ready babe?” I turn around to see Hobi coming out the kitchen.

“Yeah I’m ready,” I say before looking back at Jimin. I let out a sigh before following Hobi out the door.

Let’s just enjoy your anniversary night, Scyn.

 

 

Rose’s POV

“I can never get tired of this movie,” I say as we continue to watch Pride and Prejudice.

Joonie brought us back to his room to watch the movie. It feels like it’s been forever where me and him have hung out alone. Actually, it’s been a while since we’ve been together at all, let alone go out on a date.

“That’s why we’re watching it. And plus, I miss cuddling with you,” he says as he pulls me closer to him.

“Yeah, yeah. I’ve missed you, too,” I say while looking up to him.

He leans in and kisses me. After a while, he pulls away and looks at me. “We should change this.”

“What do you mean?” I ask him.

“As an engaged couple, we should be spending a lot of time together. Not just seeing each other once a week, if that,” he says.

I smile at him. “I know. Our schedules have been conflicting a lot, but hey. What can we do?” I say to him.

“I’m just going to hold you like this forever and never let you go,” he says as he holds be tighter.

“You know, I sometimes forget that we’re engaged,” I tell him as I look at my ring.

“Yeah. It that you can’t wear your ring when you’re out. I mean, everyone already knows we’re together. I don’t see why we have to hide our engagement. I mean, look at Hoseok and Scyn. The public knows about them."

“It’ll work out at the end. Speaking of that, do you remember how you proposed?” I ask him with a smile.

“I think it was pretty romantic and clever if you ask me,” he says with a smirk.

“Yeah, if you call ruining my book romantic then yes, it totally was,” I say with a chuckle.

 

Flashback

One Month Ago

“Alright guys, that’ll be it for today. You all go home and get some rest. We’ll practice this again tomorrow,” our choreographer told us. 

“Thank the lord. Any longer and I was going to pass out,” Scynthia says before chugging her water down.

“I’m in need of a bath and sleep. . .maybe just sleep. I don’t think I have enough energy to even take a bath,” I say as I wipe the sweat off my face with a towel.

“Weaklings,” Ann says while eating a granola bar.

“How are you eating right now?” Hyun asks.

“Because I’m hungry?” Ann says as if someone asked her the dumbest question ever.

“At least we’re free for the rest of the day,” Jeong says as he gets up from the ground.

“Hey guys.”  I turn my head towards the door to see Joonie leaning on the doorway.

“What are you doing here?” I ask as I walk over to him.

He looks at me before moving and stealing a kiss.

“Eeww, I’m all sweaty and gross,” I say.

“And? What can I say, you all sweaty after practice kinda turns me on,” he says with a smirk.

“What the ?” A towel landed on my head, making me turn

“Good God! Get a room!” Hyun says.

“Hyun, cut it out,” Jeong says.

“Yeah, listen to the leader,” I say before sticking my tongue out at Hyun.

“And I’m supposed to be the maknae,” I hear Ann say.

 “Seriously. What is it with you two? I can’t even with yall,” Scyn says while shaking her head.

“Anyways,” I hear Joonie say, “mind if I kidnap Rose for the rest of the day?” he asks.

“That would be the great actually!” Hyun says.  Before I could reply, Jeong speaks.

“Yeah. We’re done for the day. Hurry up and take her before they start again. Have fun,” Jeong says with a smile.

“Great!” Joonie says before taking my hand.

“Wait, my bag is still here,” I say.

“Here you go unnie,” Ann says as she brings me my bag.

“Thanks maknae,” I say.

“Have fun you two,” she says before looking directly at me.  “Don’t make Namjoon oppa cry unnie,” she says.

“Why would I make hi-“

“Oh man look at that, time to go. We’ll see you later,” Joonie says but I don’t miss the glare he gives Ann. 

“Where are we going? And what did Ann mean by not making you cry?” I ask him as he brings me out the back way of the building.

“We’re gonna go back to your dorm so you can shower and then I’m taking you out on a date.”

“Like a date, date? Not just hanging out in the dorms?” I ask excitedly.

“Yeah, we’re going out on a real date. I’d say it’s for another one, don’t you?” he asks as he turns back to look at me and smiles the gorgeous dimple smile of his.

I couldn’t help but smile back. How did I end up with such a good guy? Guess I just got lucky. I’m just glad that he’s in my life and hopefully he’ll stay for a while, too.

End Flashback

 

“I can’t believe Ann told me not to make you cry,” I say laughing.

“She almost gave it away. She’d knew I’d cry if you would’ve said no,” Joonie says.

“Really? You really would’ve cried?” I ask.

“Of course. You know how much work I out into that day? Plus I had to ask like ten people for permission. I had to ask your parents, which was no problem since they just adore me. Then I had to ask your brother. You’d think he’d be easier on me. If anything, he was harder.”

“Hey, that’s what happens when you’re the younger sister of a protective older brother,” I say with a smile. “Who else did you ask? Wouldn’t that be it?”

“If only. I had to get permission from all of Royalty. Who knew they would be the hardest to get approval from. I swear it was like I was getting interrogated,” he says.

“Aw. That’s so sweet of them! So they knew about the whole thing, huh? I never expected anything.”

“That’s because they didn’t know when I was gonna pop the question, only Jeong and Ann knew. They had to convince your choreographer to let you all out early.”

“But those two ended up practicing and teaching the dance to us the next day,” I say.

Joonie nods. “That was the only way he’d let you all leave early for the day.”

“Wow. I never knew!”

“It’s ‘cause you weren’t supposed to know,” Joonie says.

“Yeah yeah.”

Flashback

“Well that was pretty fun,” I say with a huge smile on my face. We just handed our roller blades in back to the counter.

“Sure it was,” Joonie says.

“Aww, come on! It wasn’t that bad!”

“Yeah, for you. You’re an expert at this. You weren’t the one falling on their butts every five seconds.”

“You didn’t do that bad,” I say, trying to stiffle a laugh.

“Says the one who jumped over me when I was on the ground. A normal girlfriend would’ve helped me up instead of leaving me high and dry on the ground,” he says.

“Well, I’d say I’m better than a normal girlfriend. I mean, I yelled at a ten year old boy for you when he skated past you and made you fall.” I say with a smile.

“Oh gee, thank you oh so lovely Rose,” he sarcastically says.

I playfully hit him in the chest as we walk out the skating place. He then takes my hand into his.

“I appreciate it babe. Thanks for not laughing at me when I fell fifty times,” he says before kissing me on the cheek. “How about we go to your favorite coffee shop?”

“I’d be totally fine with that,” I say as he leads us down the sidewalk to the nearby coffee place.

 

We soon walk in and the aroma of different coffee flavors hit me.

“Why don’t you go find a seat and I’ll get us our drinks, okay?” he asks.

“Sure thing,” I say before heading to a small booth in the corner.

I look out the window to see people passing by. I really appreciated Joonie taking me out today. It’s been a while since we got to go out and just have fun.

A figure slides into the seat across from me, clearing me from my thoughts.

“Your vanilla latte madam,” he says in the English accent.

“Why thank you kind sir,” I say playing along. We ended up both laughing at our silliness.

“So did you enjoy today?” he asks.

“I really did. I had fun. Thanks for taking me out. It was much needed,” I say to him.

“I know right? It seems as we’ve gotten busier, if that’s even possible. We’re under the same company and we don’t even get to see each other that much,” he says.

“Yeah, but hey. Least we’re together now,” I say with a smile before driving my latte.

We began talking about everything and what’s been going on with each other since we’ve been busy with our own groups. Everything was going fine until he started acting weird.

“You alright, Joonie?” I ask him.

“Of course. Why wouldn’t I be?” he asks before giving me a nervous smile.

“Oh I don’t know. You’ve been bouncing your leg for the last five minutes and you’ve been looking around this place like you’re expecting someone. Not to mention you keep asking me how my latte is.  Is something going on?”

“No,” he says.

“Namjoon, I think I know you pretty well enough to know when you’re lying. Now what’s wrong? You’re not in trouble are you?” I worriedly ask.

He let’s out a breath.  “Well, you see. It’s that I wan-“

“Oh, hey guys!” I hear someone say.

“For s sake,” I hear Joonie say under his breath.

I raise my eyebrows before turning to look behind me. Tae? What’s he doing here?

“Fancy seeing you two here,” he says as he slides his way in the booth amd sits next to me.

“Yeah, we’re on a date,” I tell him. 

“Ooooh, getting some alone time, huh?” V asks as he takes one of our snacks.

“Hey V, I need to show you something. Why don’t you come with me,” Joonie says while he stands up.

“But I just got he-“ V starts before looking to see a glaring Joonie looking right at him.  “Yes, hyung,” V says before smiling at me and giving me a thumbs up.  What is wrong with people today?

I could only shake my head.  I look into my bag and pull my book out.  I usually carry a book wherever I go, hoping to get some reading time.

I take my latte and drink the rest of it down.  I set the cup down, only to take a double take.  Did I just see black at the bottom of the cup?  Oh god, did I just drink a bad latte?  Did I just drink ant coffee?

I look at the bottom of the cup again only to gasp at the sight.

“W-what?”

During all of this commotion, I drop my book.  I go to pick it up only to see something sticking out of it.  I open the book, only to gasp again.  I bring my hand to my mouth to stop from any sounds coming out.

I turn my head to see Namjoon on the ground beside my seat, on one knee. 

“Rose, the past year and a half has been one of the best times of my life.  I still remember when I first ran into you at the company.  My first thought was how come I’ve never seen this beautiful girl before?  I just had to get to know you, which is why I tried my best to act cool and ask you for your number. From there on, I’ve been pretty content.  You make me feel like I’m the most handsome, coolest, smartest guy in the world, when in reality, I know I’m just a huge dork.  You keep my life interesting and it’s never a dull moment with you. I love your sassy and I don’t care attitude. I like how you’re not afraid to speak up your mind. I like how you allow me to be myself when I’m with you. I don’t have to be Rap Monster, or BTS’ leader. I’m just Namjoon when I’m with you. And I must say that is the best feeling in the world.”

He pauses to look at me in the eyes.  I feel tears b my eyes, just waiting to fall.  Is this really happening?

“Rose, you are the most beautiful person, both inside and out, that I’ve ever met. You’re funny, smart, and super talented. I love how you reply back to my smart comments with your own sarcastic ones.”

“I don’t need coffee to help me feel alive when I have you by my side. I guess what I’m trying to say is. . .”

He takes the ring from my book and holds it up.  “Meigui, I love you with all my heart. Will you marry me?”

D-did he just ask me that in Chinese?  He asked me to marry him in Chinese!  At this moment, my tears begin falling down my face.

“Oh my god! Yes! Yes!” I say jumping into his arms, which causes him to lose his balance, causing us to fall on the floor.

I hear his laugh from under me.  “How about we stand up so I can put the ring on your finger and make it official?” he asks.

I stand up with him following.  He takes my left hand and slides the ring on my finger.  “There, it’s a perfect fit.”

I look down at my hand before looking back up him.  I throw my arms around his neck and kiss him.

The sound of someone clearing their throat makes me pull away from Joonie.

“Woo! Congratulations!!” V says as he comes to us while holding a camera in his hand.

“You recorded this?” I ask.

“Of course! This epic proposal needed to be documented,” Joonie says with a smile.

I shake my head.  “Lucky I’m too happy to reply to that.”

End Flashback

 

“Oh my gosh. How did I end up with such a corny fool,” I say as I laugh.

“You know love every inch of this corniness, if you know what I mean,” he says before winking.

“You have no filter, do you?” I ask while shaking my head.

“I don’t need to anymore. We’ve been together long enough for me to let me be me. Besides, we’ve seen each other and did every-“

“Okay I get it! No need to go into details there,” I say.

“No need to get all shy on me now. You definitely weren’t shy the other week when you were trying that one mo-“

“Oh my god please stop!”

“Have I ever told you how hot you look all flustered?” he asks.

“You do this to me on purpose don’t you?”

“It’s all in good love babe, all in love.”

 

 

 

Hoseok’s POV

“Alright, you can now open your eyes,” I tell her as we step inside, me closing the door behind us. 

I watch her eyes light up at the place.

“An indoor picnic?” she asks as she scans the room.

“Yeah. I thought I could recreate one of our first dates. I know it’s pretty corny but I thought it’d be nice to spend some alone time together, you know? The only time we really see each other is when we’re passing by in the company or if we happen to be at the same T.V. show,” I say as I put my hands into my pockets. 

She turns around and smiles at me.  Man, her smile lights up my day every time I see it.

“It’s not corny at all. It’s perfect. Thanks for doing this,” she says as she puts her arms around my neck.  I pull her closer to me as I wrap my arms around her waist.

“Anything for you, Scyn,” I say as I look into her eyes. 

“My present is so stupid and little compared to this," she says as she looks down at the ground.

I put my hand on her chin and lift her head up so I can see her face.

“Anything from you is going to be amazing. You just being here is enough for me. You being with me this past year has made me the happiest guy in the world. And as long as you continue being my wife and being by my side, no gift will be needed,” I honestly say to her.

“How did I become lucky enough to meet you?” she asks.

“How did I become lucky enough to become your husband?” I retort back.

I glance down at her lips before looking back up to her eyes.

I lean into her and pause, as our faces meet.  I then leaned in closer and put my lips on hers, and kissed her lovingly. 

We soon pull away.  “How about we eat before we get to dessert?” I ask with a smirk.

“Who says you’re getting dessert tonight?” she retorts back, wearing her own smirk on her face.

“Oh, we’ll see about that,” I say before stealing another kiss. 

As I look at her, I could only think back to one of the happiest days of my life. 

Flashback (Author’s POV)

“What if he walks away? What if he isn’t at the end of the aisle when I come walking down?” Scynthia exclaims.

“Good God woman. For the millionth time, everything is going to go as planned. He wouldn’t have asked you to marry him if he didn’t mean it,” Rose says, annoyed.

“But what if today is the day he figures out that he could do better? There’s a lot of-“

“Scynthia! He chose you, okay? He doesn’t want anyone else but you! Where the hell is Ann? Isn’t this her duty as your best friend? I cannot keep repeating the same things to you. I might actually do what they do in movies and slap some sense into that head of yours,” Rose says.

“I wish you would leave a hand mark on my face and ruin my makeup,” Scynthia retorts back.

“I’m going to go find Ann,” Rose says before leaving the dressing room.

“Some friend you are!” Scynthia yells after her.

Just then, Scynthia’s mom walks through the door.

“Hey honey. Ready for the big day?” she asks.

“I don’t know. I mean, Hoseok still has time to run off.”

“Scynthia, he isn’t going to leave you high and dry. He truly loves and cares for you. Besides, if he were to leave you he would have done it by now,” she says, making Scynthia laugh.

“Thanks,” Scynthia says.

“Now, let’s look at you,” her mom says as she scans Scynthia.  “My daughter looks absolutely beautiful. Your grandma would be so proud of your right now,” she says as she begins to get teary eyed.

“Mom, don’t. You’re going to make me cry,” Scynthia says.

“I’m sorry. I’ll try to save the tears for later,” her mom says as she fans her eyes.  “Oh, before I forget. I want to give you this,” she says as she pulls out a necklace from her purse.

“Isn’t that grandma’s bracelet?” Scynthia asks.

“It is. She planned on giving it to you herself on your wedding day,” her mom says.

“Mom, are you sure? I mean, you can always ke-“

“No. Besides, it’ll look nice with your dress. Keep it. She wanted you to have it.”

Scynthia puts the bracelet on before giving her mom a hug.  “Thanks mom. I love you.”

“I love you, too darling. Now finish getting ready. You have an aisle to walk down.”

“Oh, do you know where Ann is?”

“I think she’s finishing setting things up for the reception. Make sure after all of this is over, you are to thank and apologize to her,” her mom says.

“Apologize for what?”

“Don’t you think I don’t know what you’ve been doing to everyone the past few days.”

“I’ve been nothing but pleasant!”

“Then why did I hear that you practically yelled at your members last night?” Scynthia’s mom asks.

“Umm. . .”

“You’re lucky Ann was there to let you yell at her when everyone else decided to leave. Rose even told me you threw her plate of chicken in the garbage. I’m surprised she didn’t attack you.”

“I know. I’ve been so good until these past couple of days. I’ll make sure to apologize to everyone,” Scynthia says.

“Good. I’m going to go to my seat. I’ll send Ann your way if I see her. I’m so proud of you honey,” she says before hugging Scynthia one more time before leaving.

 

 

 

“Okay. Center pieces are set, name tags are in the correct order. The dj is here setting up his equipment. Alright, I think everything is se-“

“Ann! Where the hell have you been?!” Rose asks as she walks up to Ann.

“You are in a church you know. No need to cuss,” Ann says.  “I’ve been here just making sure everything is set. What’s up?”

“Don’t sass me right now. I’ve spent the last hour telling Scyn how Hoseok isn’t going to stand her up at the alter. I don’t think I can spend another minute there,” Rose says.

“Alright. I’ll go see her now. We only have about ten minutes before the ceremony starts. You should get ready,” Ann says but finds Rose to be staring.  “What?” she asks.

“You’re in a dress and some decent heels,” Rose says.  “Let me just take a picture of this special day.”

“Unnie, can you not?”

“Oh come one! It’s not everyday my donsaeng dresses like a girl!”

“Whatever, save the pics for later. I gotta make sure Scyn is good to go,” Ann says before walking away.

 

 

“Aw! Doesn’t my best friend look all pretty!” Ann says as she steps in the dressing room.

“You’re finally here! So I look okay? I can’t believe I’m actually getting married!”

“You look beautiful, Scyn. And Hoseok is one lucky guy,” Ann says.

“Hey, I want to think you for helping me out with the wedding and dealing with my bridezilla moments the last few days,” Scynthia says.

“’Tis what best friends are for, though you owe me a bucket of fried chicken.”

“How about when we get the time, me, you, and Lauren have a girls night and I’ll get us a bucket of KFC?” Scynthia asks.

“Sounds like a plan.”

“Thanks for being such a wonderful bestfriend,” Scynthia says.

“Thanks for being such a wonderful cook,” Ann says with a smile.

“Is that all I am to you? Your personal chef?”

“You’re cool to hang out with, too,” Ann says with a shrug before laughing.

“But seriously, thanks. I wouldn’t have made it here without you.”

“Always and forever,” Ann says.

“Forever and always,” Scynthia says as they hug.

Ann pulls away.  “Now, I want all the negative thoughts to leave your mind. Hoseok picked you because you are beautiful, smart, funny, talented, and caring. He is absolutely lucky to have such a wonderful person to stand by his side. I sometimes wonder how he deals with your craziness but that just shows me how much he deeply cares and loves you.”

Scynthia nods and smiles. 

“Okay, now let’s get you married.”

 

 

Scynthia’s POV

 

Alright, Scyn.  This is it.  I loop my arm through Mr. Jung’s.

“Thanks for walking me down the aisle, Mr. Jung,” I say to him.

“You can call me abeoji and it’s my pleasure. Thank you for marrying my son. I know he cares and loves you a lot.”

I couldn’t help but smile.  Me and Hobi’s family have gotten really close over the last few months.  They accepted me right in, like I was originally part of their family.

The music begins playing and we start walking down the aisle. 

I look straight ahead, only to see Hoseok standing at the alter.

Mr. Jung gives me a hug before handing me over to Hoseok.  He takes my hands into his.

He looks and mouths to me, ‘You look beautiful’.  I couldn’t help but smile at him.

 

 

“Okay, now for your vows. Hoseok.”

Hoseok clears his throat, earning a few laughs from everyone.  “Sorry. I’m nervous. You’d think as many times I’ve performed in front of people that I’d be fine speaking in front of family and friends. See Scyn. This is what you do to me. You still make me nervous,” he says before chuckling.

“Okay. Scynthia, you’re my one and only. I’m the most comfortable when I’m with you. When I grab your hand into mine, my whole body is filled with warmth and comfort.  You make my world shine brighter with your presence. Because of you, I found out what love truly is. Love is you according to my rules. I will now call love as your name because love is you.  My world is filled with silver and I don’t need any other colors as long as I have you. Don’t allow me to be anything but yours. As long as you have me, I’ll always have you. I want you to stay by my side. It’s like I’m looking right at the other half of me. The vacancy that sat in my heart is a space that now you hold. I couldn’t get any bigger with anyone else beside of me. You’re my reflection in everything I do. Scynthia, you are the love of my life.”

The tears began to fall.  I smiled at him as the tears continued to fall down my face.

“And now you, Scynthia.”

I wipe my eyes, careful not to ruin my makeup.  “Wow. I don’t think I’ll be able to top that,” I say, earning some laughs.  “Well, I’ll still try. Here goes nothing.”

“Whenever you look at me, it feels like I’m getting electrified. You make me feel like I’m the most beautiful and special girl in the world. Your smile drives me crazy. It can light up any dark room. You pick me up when I’m down and you wipe away my tears when they fall from my eyes. Every time we’re away from each other, I miss you. All day, I think of you and only you. My heart, I’ll give it to you and only to you. I’ve fallen for you and I don’t want to leave. I will give you my love and I will never make you regret. I will care and love you forever, Hoseok.”

“I now present you Mr. and Mrs. Jung. Hoseok, you may now kiss your wife.”

“About time,” he says before cupping my face and kissing me.  This had to be the best kiss yet.

 

 

Everyone was having a good time.  People were chatting, eating, and dancing.  I have to say, the reception was pretty perfect.  Maybe I’ll buy Ann two buckets of KFC.

“Can we have the new husband and wife up on the floor to share their first dance?”

Hoseok grabs my hand and leads the way to the dance floor.  Once we’re there, our song begins playing.

I put my arms around his neck and he puts his around my waist. 

“So, how’s it feel to be Mrs. Jung Scynthia?” Hobi asks.

“It’s alright. I’ll let you know when it gets better,” I jokingly say.

He gets this smirk on his face.  “Is that so? I bet I could make it worthwhile later tonight.”

“Hobi!” I whisper yell to him, “people are here!”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“Whatever. But anyways, Being Mrs. Jung is wonderful so far,” I say.

“And I am enjoying every single minute of being your husband, babe.”

“I love you Mr. Jung Hoseok.”

“And I love you Mrs. Jung Scynthia.”  He then leans in and pecks my lips.

“You know, calling you that makes you even hotter.”

I could only giggle and shake my head.

I’m now married. 

Life couldn’t get any better.

Scynthia’s POV

“I can’t believe we’ve been married for a whole year,” I say to Hobi.

“Best year ever,” he says.

"So when did you have time to do all of this?" I ask him.

"I didn't. Well, it was my idea and I've been planning to do something like this for a while, but with BTS busy schedule, I didn't have any time. So, that's where Ann came in."

"So this is her present? She set all this up?" I ask.

"Yeah. I actually wanted to go to a hotel but she thought it'd be better if we just spent some time at our own apartment," he says.

"Wow," I say. I gotta make sure to thank her. Hopefully she's enjoying some time with Jimin.

"So what’d you get me?" he asks.

"Well, it's kinda lame, but I made you a mixtape. It has some of your favorite songs and some of our songs on there," I say.

"Really? That's awesome. I can't wait to listen to it. It'll come in handy when I'm on the road and missing you," he says.

"Yeah. That way, you can think of me while listening to it," I say with a smile.

I lean up and kiss him. I feel his hand come behind my head. Before I know it, I'm lying under him as we continue to kiss.

Jimin's POV

 

I walk up to Ann's door and knock on it.

"Ann, I know you're in there," I say through the door.

Still, no answer. I put my ear to the door, only to hear music. Of  course.

I open the door only and walk in, only to see Ann in the middle of changing. 

My eyes scan down her body. Her back is facing me. I knew she looked good but wow. I was definitely right about my comment earlier, too. This is totally not helping my problem.

I guess I didn't know how long I was staring because next thing I knew, I hear screaming.

"JIMIN! GET OUT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" she yells.

"Ah yeah, sorry," I say before closing her door.

I head back to the living room and sit on the couch.

Damn. My cute lil Ann has a y body. If only she'd let me s-

I hear her door slam shut. I turn my head to see her wearing yoga pants and one of my hoodies I gave her. I don't know why but I like it when she wears my clothes.

I couldn't help but stare at her when she walked towards the couch.

Next thing I know, I'm being attacked by a pillow.

"What the heck?! You don't just walk in someone's room! And you don't stand there and stare while someone's changing like a ert!" She says as she hits me with the pillow.

Finally having enough, I pull her into my lap and pull the pillow out of her hands.

"Are you done attacking your boyfriend now?"

"No. I oughta grab a frying pan and hit you with it," she says as she crosses her arms in front of her and forming a pout with her lips. Who would've thought this was the same person I just saw-okay. I need to stop thinking about that.

"Wow, I see Scynthia’s violent tendencies have finally rubbed off on you, huh?" I say but get no response back.

"Hey Ann, I'm sorry for walking in on you. I really did knock but you didn't hear because of your music," I tell her.

She let's out a breath before speaking. 

"Fine, you're forgiven," she says as she still doesn't look at me.

"Ann, look at me."

"No."

"Why not?" 

"It's embarrassing," she says quietly.

"Why would you be embarrassed?" I ask, truly not understanding.

She uncrossed her arms and begins playing with her fingers.

"It just is. It's embarrassing when people talk about me like that. Especially you. You're all high and mighty and really good looking and then you have me. I feel like people are making fun of me when they say things like that. I'm in a country and a business where all the girls are all skinny and just perfect. And when a guy says something like that, they're usually just going after one thing," she says while looking down at her lap.

My jaw clenches as she says the last thing. Just thinking about what that douchebag did to her makes my skin boil. I know it's been more than a year ago, but I know it still affects her.

"Ann, look at me," I gently say.

"No."

"Ann, come on-"

"No. Just forget it, okay? I'm just going to go to bed," she says as she tries to get out of my grip, which only makes me hold on to her tighter.

"Jimin, I just want to go to b-"

"Ann look at me," I seriously say.

After a moment, she finally turns her head and looks me in the eyes. 

"Now you listen hard and good. First of all, if a guy other than me says those things to you, you tell me so I can beat the out of him. No man should be talking to you that way."

"Second, you are truly beautiful Ann. Remember when you told me when I said I wasn't happy with the way I looked? You told me that I was handsome and looked perfectly fine the way I was. You said I shouldn't listen to anyone when they saI'd that I should lose weight or that my cheeks are too fat or that I need more defined abs. You said that I should be comfortable in my own skin. And if I am, it doesn't matter what others think or say."

"That's different. You truly are good looking and have no need to change anything about you. And I also said I loved your cheeks. I don't wanna date a guy who's all bones. Besides, your chubby cheeks make me feel better about my own," she says with a small smile.

"Ann, there's no difference. I don't want to date a girl who's too self absorbed about staying a current weight or trying to be thin. I want to date a girl who is healthy and happy about herself. That’s why I'm dating you. Like I said before, you are truly beautiful and shouldn't be embarrassed when I compliment you."

"Yeah okay."

"You still don't believe me?"

"Not really but it's not important."

"It is important if my girlfriend isn't feeling good about herself. And I'm not going to stop until I see you smile and I hear you say 'I'm beautiful,'"

"Jimin this isn't nee-" 

"It is," I say before pulling my hands back from her waist.

"What are you doing?"

"Oh nothing. Just getting ready to tickle you is all," I say with a grin on my face.

"You know I'm not ticklish," she says.

"Oh, that's what you think," I say.

Her eyes widen and she attempts to jump off my lap but I grab her again and begin tickling her stomach.

"Jimin stop!" She says between laughter.

"Not until you say it," I say.

"N-no," she says, still laughing.

"Guess I have to bring out the big guns," I say before lifting her up off my lap and laying her on the couch. I sit and straddle her legs as I start ticking her neck.

She starts screaming and laughing. "J-Jimin s-stop," she barely gets out as she's laughing so hard. 

"You gonna say it?"

"N-n-no."

"You give me no other choice then." I lean down towards her neck and start blowing on it. I've learned that she's super ticklish and sensitive on her neck.

She's laughing like crazy now. It made me smile to see some real laughter from her.

"Okay! I'll s-say it," she gasps out in between her laughing.

I stop and look right into her eyes.

"Say it," I tell her.

Her eyes meet mine and we stay there for a moment, just staring at each other.

"I am beautiful," she says while still looking at me.

I smile at her. "It needs some work but it's a start," I say before pecking her lips.

I get off of her and sit at the end of the couch before grabbing her hands and pulling her up so she's sitting.

"Now, what do you want to do tonight?" I ask her once she's calmed down from all of her laughing.

"I want to go to bed," she says.

I couldn't help but be a little saddened by her answer since I wanted to do something with her and hang out. But once I looked at her, I could see how tired she really was.

"Alright. As long as I can cuddle with you," I say before standing up. I grab her hands and pull her to her feet.

"Deal," she says before smiling.

I guess seeing her smile and laugh was enough for me today. Besides, we both have days off tomorrow, so we can do something then.

"Okay. Let's get my beautiful girlfriend to bed," I say.

She rolls her eyes but smiles that smile that I love.
