The True Heir
The Unfinished Tale (to be edited)The clashing of steel woke her up from her blissful slumber. Blinking her eyes slowly, she sat up and called for her maid to help her.
"My lady, the physician is coming to inspect you." the maid reported. Turning around, she moved to protest. "Didn't I already say I am fine?" The maid only smiled in return. "But you are in a delicate condition. As the temporary ward of the Chungju Yoo Clan, you must be observed diligently, my lady." The Lady Hae Soo only sighed. "Ahrasso. I will take care of my health. But I still have to-" she didn't get to finish her sentence because of a cough at the door.
The young boy, Sung Jin hesistated as he wringed his fingers nervously.
"Sung Jin? Is everything alright?" Soo asked worriedly as she approached the nervous boy. "My lady, can I..I.." at the lady's encouragement, he expressed his wish to Soo. " Can I still practice using the sword eventhough we will return to your hometown?"
Soo can only smile.
"Of course you can. You are under my protection now, Sung Jin. Never forget that. Ahrasso?" Sung Jin grinned happily and nodded.
Six Months Later..........
Reconciling with the Hae Clan had almost seemed impossible. The elders looked skeptical, what with her causing them to almost loose their noble standing and status. But In Pyo, one of the influential members of the clan, who was also her uncle, voted for her reinstation as a noble lady and revognized member of the Hae Clan as befitting her natural status. Furthermore, he had decided to adopt her and her ward, Sung Jin.
And now, she was in her chambers at the residence of her uncle, now her adopted father and her stomach had gone more bigger. Due to this, Soo had resorted to wearing long and wide robes in order to hide her pregnancy. If the Queen hears even a whisper or rumor about her pregnancy, she would not hesitate to do her harm.
No, she must never know. Especially him. she thought, watching her young ward sparring with one of the sword masters at her uncle's residence.
As she stood up, she felt a massive pain in her lower belly. Fear gripped her as she turned and started crying for help. She hissed as she felt another, bringing her to her knees.
"Call the midwife, quickly! My lady, you must stand." one of the older maids ordered.
Many Hours Later.....
A loud wail from the newborn greeted the struggling woman. "My lady, it's a boy. A most handsome and healthy boy." the midwife said. Soo sighed in relief before another contraction hit her. Quickly realizing what's happening, the chief midwife handed the baby to be cleaned and wemt back to you as the lady once again gave more grunts of pain.
Two births later, the midwife held out the two new bundles to its mother. " A boy and a girl, my lady. What shall you name them?" gesturing to the three children niw whimpering.
"Later..Later..I..need to rest......" Soo murmered as she slowly closed her eyes.
