Party
Pretending Not To LoveNo One’s POV:
After Joo Eun and Mijin walked out of the house, Sooyoon slowly walked backed to her room and flopped himself down on her bed. He shook his head rapidly as he was still left in a daze after what he had witnessed, a little earlier.
When Joo Eun and Mijin had to halt in a café for someone else, Joo Eun suddenly remembered that she had locked her brother inside his room and also she has to help Sooyoon get out of her house which would be otherwise not possible.
She excused herself stating some reasons and agreed to meet Mijin back there in another 30 minutes before she rushed back home. She straightaway went to her room, to find Sooyoon spread out on her bed.
“Yah!” she shut the door behind her. “What if my brother decides to come to my room?” she shrieked.
He rolled around and looked in her direction but avoided looking at her. He felt that the dress was a bit too much even from the sideways glance. But he also felt that he doesn’t really have any rights to object her wearing it.
It was his first time too seeing her in a dress like this. The dress changed the innocent look of hers into a y one. For some odd reasons, he didn’t want any other guys to see her like that.
“Are you going to the party alone?” Sooyoon asked, a little worriedly while she nodded her head.
The two of them were still awkward around each other and whenever his eyes fell on her, she remembered the earlier incident and she wiggled uncomfortably. The dress wasn’t helping her either. She tried pulling down the ends of it but she only ended up getting it shorter than the previous time.
“Come on, I will get you out of this house.” Her face was still flushed.
“Okay, but I will wait outside for you. I will accompany you until wherever you have to go.”
She nodded her head and led him out, after making sure her brother was still in his room. “Give me a minute. I will be back,” she went back to her house and knocked on her brother’s door.
“Oppa?” she knocked again. “James, my friend has left.” She called and the door opened, a second later. “I’m sorry that it took longer than I thought.” She whispered while he observed her from head to toe.
“Where are you going wearing that?”
“Going out to a party with my friend.” She replied, looking at him wide-eyed.
It was almost the first time he had questioned her about her plans and she was kind of happy inside. “Wearing that?” he raised his eyebrows at her while she looked down at her dress and nodded her head hesitatingly.
“Okay, but make sure you get home early and most importantly safe.” He said, taking her aback. She stood there frozen, just staring at him. “Did you hear what I said?” she snapped out and nodded her head. “I will not be back until the next weekend. So leave me a message when you get back home.”
“Okay, James. I will,” she replied in a trance and walked out of there.
“Are you alright?” Sooyoon asked as he waved his hands in front of her.
“My brother spoke to me,” she replied happily while he raised one of his eyebrows. “It looked like he was worried about me. Not many words. But he cares,” she jumped and hugged his arms.
Joo Eun’s actions and everything else were more girly than her usual self. She blushed so much that he started to wonder whether that was her actual skin color.
“Are you really going to go to the party in that dress?” he asked worriedly, wrapping his arms around her while glaring at a few passerby guys who were ogling her from head to toe.
‘Aish! Why’s everyone so bothered about me wearing a dress?’ she mumbled to herself while she just replied a ‘yes’ to him.
He let out a sigh, knowing well enough he couldn’t do anything about it. “If you are going to return after it gets dark, then call me. I will bring you back home.” He sounded worried.
“Okay, I will. But don’t you worry. I will be alright.” She embraced him to calm him down. “I will go alone from here. Mijin unnie will be waiting in that café. I don’t want to take the risk of them seeing you.” She pointed to the café which was a few blocks away.
“I will wait here. You go and text me if she’s still there.” He waved and sent her away while still keeping an eye on her. He was still worried of the looks she was receiving her entire way to the café.
A few seconds after she disappeared into the café, he received a message stating that Mijin was inside and he left towards his home after sending her a reply.
Joo Eun’s POV:
I walked into the café and saw Mijin along with a few others. As soon as I saw the group of people, I was starting to get nervous from all the eyes I was receiving and wished Sooyoon was here with me.
I did my best to stick to Mijin’s side until we all reached the party pl
