Joo Eun’s POV:
It’s been months since Sooyoon asked me out and I have made him do things which he would have never done on a normal day like go on variety of crazy dates.
The more the time passed, the more upset Jiwoong got as he felt that I have been spending too less time with my friends because of Sooyoon. In a way, he was right because I have canceled my plans with Jiwoong or even Mijin, in the last time.
I do try to compensate them later, but he’s still not really happy with it. For some odd reasons, both Sooyoon and Jiwoong dislike each other, though the former does it quite subtly compared to the latter.
So, being unsatisfied even after compensated, Jiwoong tagged along whenever Mijin and I had a plan. And as usual, the two always bickered with each other on all those days. They are always like cats and dogs.
On the other hand, Sooyoon still had those gatherings every other weekend with those female friends of his and comes back home drunk on majority of the time. But, at times, I get called to pick him up. I’m still not really upset about it as they mostly gather at June’s place.
So even if I’m not at work then, I still feel a bit relaxed since I have someone looking out for him. I know it sounds like I’m spying on him but trust me, that really wasn’t the intention. It just happened to be so.
Anyway, today was one such weekend. I received yet another call from June, asking me to come over and pick up Sooyoon as he was being stubborn to wait there, until he gets to see me.
I quickly grabbed my jacket and my bag before rushing over to the restaurant. I smiled at the security guard as I made my way inside. “Aww, my Joo Eunnie is here.” Sooyoon cooed as soon as he saw me while spreading his arms out for a hug.
“Yeah, I’m here.” I chuckled, letting him take me in an embrace. “Good for you that the place is closed for the day.”
“You’re here?” June asked, walking into the room.
I nodded my head, “I’m sorry for all the trouble he has caused, sunbae.”
He shook his head, “He didn’t really trouble anyone. Just kept asking for you and refused to leave. Did you both get into any fight?”
“Nothing big, sunbae.” I smiled at him, “I’m sorry for the trouble once again.” Then I turned towards Sooyoon and asked, “So shall we get going now?”
He nodded and followed me out, hooking his arms with mine. We tried hailing a cab, but there was no success and after several minutes of standing there, I kind of got a little tired. So I decided to sit down and rest at the bench outside the restaurant for some time.
“Should we walk back home instead?” I asked while Sooyoon took a seat beside me.
“Should we?” he asked with a wide grin while I just shook my head.
“Do you think our house is just around the corner?” I asked, poking his cheek while he pouted. “Let’s try hailing a taxi once again in a while and if it didn’t work, then we will think about it later.”
We both sat in silence for a few more minutes, before I decided to walk over and try flagging down a cab. But when I got up, he refused to let go of my wrist and gently gave it a pull, asking me to get closer.
I thought he was going to say something, so I leaned in closer. However, he gave out a smirk before pulling me in for a kiss. I gently pulled back a few seconds later, “People are watching.”
“So?” he asked, tilting his head to the side.
“What if someone from our campus sees us?”
“I don’t care,” he grinned.
“You’re drunk, Sooyoon.”
“I maybe drunk but I mean it when I said I don’t care.” He said and without giving me a moment to reply, he once again pulled me closer and locked our lips.
Not able to resist any longer, I started to respond to his kiss, by wrapping my arms around his neck. A little while later, someone cleared his throat beside us, making us to separate hesitatingly.
“June sunbae?” I looked up at the man who was standing beside us with a teasing grin.
“What are you two still doing here?”
“Um, we couldn’t get a taxi. So we were just relaxing here?” I replied, my cheeks turning a little red in embarrassment.
He took a look at his watch, and then said, “Let me drop you both at your place.”
“It’s okay, sunbae. We don’t want to trouble you.”
“I’m heading in that direction anyway. So no trouble at all. Just hop in.” he said, unlocking his car.
I helped Sooyoon get in and then got in after him. I had small talks with June as he drove the car while Sooyoon remained silent, totally relaxed, unlike how he reacts when Jiwoong is around. June dropped me in front of Sooyoon’s place and we both made our way up after thanking him for the ride.
Days passed by, and there were quite a lot of times, Sooyoon didn’t mind showing some PDA, especially when he was drunk like the other day.
One weekend, while I was doing my shift at th
