Chapter 5 (Yuri’s Pov)

I just cannot believe what did Yoona told to Jessica.I thought she still love me.I know…I know that its my fault ,my damn fault for breaking up with her to further my studies to States.But soon,I realised that I still love her,my heart still longs for her love and my body still crave for her touch.When I listen her telling to Jessica that we are just ex and colleague now,it breaks my heart and my heart starts to ache.I ran to the rooftop of the building to calm down myself.I took my sit at one of the benches there.I graze my hands through the pendant that I am wearing.That pendant has the nickname YoonYul craved .It was gifted to me by Yoona on our anniversary.As the wind blew gently,I reminisce my moments with Yoona before I accepted the offer to further my studies at States.

After our passionate night, I woke up to find out that Yoona is missing from my side.As I reach Yoona’s bathrobe,my nose smells sense some nice smell of food.It must be my Yoongie preparing our breakfast.I went out of the room and walked towards to kitchen to find yoongie preparing kimchi for our breakfast.I went behind her and locked in my embrace.She jumped at the embrace but later calm down while I bury myself into her neck,sniffing her addicting fragrance

“hei babe….” She greet me and turn to face me while my hands were still wrapped on her petite waist.She kiss my forehead affectionately

“hei..seems like a nice breakfast is ready for me to be eaten by me” I told her seductively while looking at her lips and her doe eyes repeatedly.

“yeah I make your favourite kimchi for breakfast.let me just set up the table ok”she told me and try to move away from me but I wrap my arms around her waist more tightly putting my chin on her shoulder.

“babe,whats wrong huh?” she ask me while pulling my chin up to meet her gaze.I just look at her while jutting my lips asking for a kiss from her.She just laughed and lean closer to me,we were only a inch apart,our breathed air bouncing to our lips,she put a necklace around my neck.I was surprised to see it but I ran my hands through the necklace and found the word YoonYul engrave there.I look up to Yoona’s eyes and it was full with loves for me

“its my anniversary gift for you, my love.it our name together engraved in it.I hope it will stay there forever.”she told me while looking at the necklace .I pull her closer to me and kiss her passionately.

The next day I visited her at her apartment bringing her the letter that I received on our anniversary day.I decided not to show her the letter because I know how will she react to it.I enter her apartment and saw her studying.She was studying for her upcoming exam.I went up to her and kiss her on her cheeks before settling around her arms .

“how was your day today babe?”She asked me .I did not answer her question and I kept looking at her face,admiring her features that attract me towards her at high school.

“whats wrong?why do you keep looking at me like that?”she ask me again.I heaved out a long sigh before giving her the letter to her.When she read the letter,she look shocked and glare at me

“Yuri I thought we already talk down about this before?then why are you bringing it up again?”she ask me while she get up from the cushion,I did the same and face her

“Yoona,this is once a lifetime chance .why couldn’t you understand me? This is my dream and our future”

“Your future,not ours.I don’t want to go the states and live my life as a slave there for a foreign company” she told me while raising her voice to me

“what you mean my future?Are you not on my future?what happen to the ‘be together forever?” I ask her furiously

“well since you already decide  without asking me,I don’t think that be together phrase still exist”

“then what do you want me to do?be like you?study in a government school and studying using the pathetic scholarship or….” I stop myself after realizing what have I said.My heart broke after I saw the pain in Yoona’s eyes.Argh…why am I so stupid!! I mentally curse myself.We both stay in silence for a few minutes before I gather my courage to apologize to her

“yoo….” She stop me by showing her hand to me.I swallow a lump in my throat.

“you’re right.I’m some pathetic idiot studying in a government school with a pathetic scholarhip.Sorry because I can’t be on your level.” She look at me before continuing

“then why the do the you have to be with me?so that you can leave me one day during this moment uh?why don’t you love someone who is on the same level as you or sleep with someone else.?”

“what are you talking about Yoona!!!!!! I love you very much.You know what I’m tired of arguing with you Yoona everytime about this.I’m going to States and that’s final!”

“then forget about us if you decide to stay there.”she told me.I heaved a long sigh before telling her

“ok then lets break up.This is my life and like you said MY future”I left her apartment with tears.I never saw Yoona after that day.The next day ,I left to States to further my studies.I return to Korea last two months and I was accepeted to this company .

When I saw Yoona working at the same company,my heart beat starting to beat its craziest pace,just like when I saw her for the first time at high school.The moment I saw her,I know that I still love her and I want her back in my life because I still love her.I was drown in my own world when I heard Yoona’s voice calling my name.I stood up to look at me.I was going to embrace her but stopped on my track when she step backward from me

“look Yuri.what happened yesterday was a pure mistake.I admit I kissed you but it wasn’t because of love but pure lust.im sorry” she told me while she hung her head low and I felt a pang in my heart when I heard her explanation

“Yoona….”my voice starts to quiver before I continue

“yoona I’m sorry for what happened six months ago.I still love you yoona and I want you back”.Yoona stop me before I continue

“No yuri,like I said before,I have learn to move on from you and its safe for me to tell you that I have moved on yuri..i don’t love you anymore.It was not only your fault in what happened in our relationship.What I want to tell you was,we can only be friends and work partners but not more than that” she told me sincerely.

“So we still can be friends right?”I ask her sheepishly

“of course Yuri’ she initiate a handshake and I gladly accept it.When she handshake with me,I pull her to my embrace and she stiffened

“What Yoona,doesn’t friend hug each other?” I ask her teasingly.after a few seconds,Yoona relaxed and hug me back

I am sorry Yoona,I could not forget you.I will try my best to court you again whether you like it or not.I will strongly pursue you till you are still single
