Chapter 13

The two of them listened very carefully. When nothing came Kris grabbed her arms to move, but a figure jumped on their side and an ear-splitting thud swallowed the stillness of the place. Her eyes and jaw dropped when she made out the silhouette of the attacker, the sun was setting but she couldn't be mistaken.
