Taecyeon looked at his wwatch, squinting at the small digital numbers. When was the last time he was here?

About ... 

A week ago.

Junsu stared at him. "You ... you don't remember?"

Taecyeon mutely shook his head, shocked. How could he not remember a week ... what had happened?

"What happened, hyung?"

Junsu sighed, running his hands through his hair. He grabbed Taecyeon's arm and startedd to tug him towards the dorm, before stopping. "Wait ... you do remember where the dorm is ... right? And ... who we are?" He looked nervously at him. Taecyeon nodded his head, and he grinned with relief, before it faded back into a frown."Come on then."

Junho heard footsteps outside, and he jumped up. Turning around, he saw Junsu walk in, with ... his mouth fell open. 

Taecyeon hyung was back.

Junho threw himself onto his hyung, wrapping his arms around him in a hug. "Where ... were ... you?!" he demanded. "It's been a ... a week!" He let go, and couldn't help but grinning widely. Taecyeon laughed, then frowned. 

Junsu covered him. "Taecyeon doesn't remember the ... the ... erm ... you know." Junho stared. 

"W-what?"

"He doesn't remember."

"..."

"..."

"..."

Taecyeon looked back and forth betwen the two - Junhp, who was staring wordlessly at Junsu, who was staring back with a grim face. 

Why didn't he remember?

Was it something that important?

Did something happen?

And before ... when Junsu mentioned Nichkhun ... he felt a twinge of worry.

"Eh ... guys?" he broke the stunned silence. "D-did something happen to Khunnie hyung?"

Immeadiately, Junho started to tear up. Taecyeon's herat dropped. Junsu put his arm around the younger boy's shoulders and looked at Taecyeon.

"You really don't remember. Never mind, you'll remember eventually. I know you will."

"Answer my question!"

"Nichkhun ... he's in hospital."

Taecyeon stared. "W-what? Why?"

Junsu looked down at the floor. "You need to understand something else first."

"What?" he demanded roughly. "Tell me!"

"You ... and Chansung, Nichkhun, Wooyoung ... have got some sort of powers..."

Taecyeon scowled. "Don't joke."

"I'm not joking."

"Prove it."

Junsu guestured towards Taecyeon's hand. "There's my evidence."

Taecyeon's sleeve was starting to smoke, a small blaze flickering in his hand. He let out a yell, stumbling back. It was not harming him, but ... 

"What the !?"

"Yep." Junsu nodded. "You can do stuff with fire. Wooyoung can mind read. Chansung ... we're not sure yet, or he won't tell us ..." he trailed off with a frown. He was worried for the younger one.

"And Khun? Can I see him?"

Junsu nodded, but stopped. He heard footsteps, and a second later, the maknae appeared.

"Hyung, I'm goi-" he froze.

Taecyeon blinked.

Chansung raced down the stairs, throwing himslef onto Taecyeon like Junho did. "Hyung's back!" he stepped back and looked at him. "Where have you been-"

Taecyeon shrugged, and Junho told Chansung - "He doesn't remember ... now."

Chansung frowned. "What do you mean? He has to remember! He doesn't know about our ... our ... powers?"

"Nope."

"Oh what the hell ..." Chansung looked at Taecyeon. who was pacing the living room, looking agitated. "Why is he so nervous?"

"He was just told about Khunnie."

" ... Oh."

Junsu came over to Chansung. "Channie ..." he looked troubled.

"What is it, hyung?"

"You do know that you can come to me whenever you don't feel right about something, right?"

Chansung looked confused, but inside his heart was racing. Did he know?

"Y-yeah ... hyung ..."

Junsu smiledd tiredly. He knew something was up. But he didn't want to force his maknae ... he gave him a quick hug, then turned to Taecyeon.

"Let's go and see Khunnie."

*At the hospital*

Wooyoung sat by Nichkhun, absently playing on his phone, glancing at him now and then. He sighed and looked out of he window. He was told about Nichkhun's condition, and he knew that it was something to do with their ... their ... powers. 

Powers?

More like a curse.

His phone beeped suddenyl, and he glanced down. Text message from Junsu.

From: Mr Panda

To: Youngie

woo, taec is back but he doesnt remember about our powers and khunnie passing out. we r on the way to the hospital now 

how is khunnie? is he any better? TT_TT

Wooyoung stared.

Taecyeon hyung was back?

He felt like screaming for joy.

But ...

He didn't remember?

How could he not remember?

"Khun hyung, Taecyeon hyung is back. Wake up soon ... ne?" he told him, smiling slightly. He stood up and walked over to the window, lookngi out into the parking lot.

A few minutes later, a black car that he recognised instantly drove into the parking area, and four familiar figures stepped out. 

"Hurry up ..." he muttered, returning to his seat. 

Soon, the door opened and the four boys stepped in. Junsu shot Wooyoung a worried glance. 

Taecyeon looked down at Nichkhun, who was lying on the bed, and frowned. 

He felt something heavy in the pit of his stomach.

"W-what happened to Khunnie?" he asked, biting his lip and sitting down in one of the chairs. 

Wooyoung couldn't help but to look at Taecyeon, searching his mind.

His brow creased with worry as he filtered through them again. And again.

It was true.

He really didn't remember.

He looked thoughtfully at his own hands. If he could read minds ... tell if people were lying, and if they really remembered something ... 

Was it possible to make them remember things too?

"- and then he was rushed off to hospital, two weeks and three days ago ... and he hasn't woken up since ..."

Junsu gulped. Taecyeon was staring down at the boy lying on the bed. 

"So ... are you telling me he can make these weird noises, raise spirits and ghosts ...?" he asked, not wanting to believe it.

Junsu nodded seriously.

"A-and ... Wooyoung heard in on a few doctors yesterday ... Chansung, you don't know this. You'd better listen too ..." Wooyoung gulped and closed his eyes briefly, an action that went noticed by Taecyeon. He felt his heart racing in his chest.

"The doctors said ... after they had managed to get Khun's heart going again ... that he might not survive aanother one of these ... these ... attacks. That he probably won't ever w-wake up again."

Taecyeon froze.

He couldn't do anything but stare.

Chansung turned his head away, and Taecyeon dimly was aware of Junho comforting the crying boy. 

But he wasn't aware of anything else at this point.

It was like there was a buzzing in his ears, blocking out the rest of the world.
