and I'm in need of Bangtan/ EXO mutuals too!
Ah Reum heard her own breathing. She took two seconds of silence.
"I said, I want to extend the contract. Maybe one more month? Or two? I don't know. I just bloody hell want to extend it." Chanyeol explained. This time, he gripped her shoulders with relative ease.
Ah Reum felt the need to tear away from his stare, but she did not.
"I assume that the reason for extending our agreement is due to your failure to find a replacement." She uttered, matter-of-factly and did her habit of checking the time.
Oh heavens. Ji Hoon was probably left dumbfounded there in the hallway.
Chanyeol gripped her shoulders even tighter. "Why should I look for a replacement when I don't need one? If you wanna know the reason, then I'll be honest. Efficiency, Ah Reum. You know what I want, and you give it to me. Simple as that. And you listen to what I say. Ain't that enough reason?"
At this point, Ah Reum could only gaze at Chanyeol. There was something about honesty that really hit, shook and astonished her. With Chanyeol being so honest and straightforward, she thought it impossible to find other people more authentic and real than Park Chanyeol.
"So do you want to extend it with me for another month or two? Or is Ji Hoon your target now?" Chanyeol said, with a harsh tone at the mention of Ji Hoon.
She cleared . Her mind was still in a daze. It was impossible to decide. Too risky to decide, if you put it that way. She'd kill to be on his bed for eternity because let's face it, Chanyeol knew how to please her. At the same time, there was the risk of getting attached.
"Speaking of Ji Hoon, I have to get back to him. If you also want an honest answer, then I am not sure if I want to extend the contract. I need time to decide."
"Fine. My place tomorrow, after the Dream Concert." was all Chanyeol said before leaving Ah Reum.
Things were not going as smoothly as planned. It was frustrating to see his well-thought plan crumbling down to pieces. Baekhyun was the one who suggested the contract extension; maybe Baekhyun should pay.
That can't be. Immaturity was not part of Chanyeol's system, so cross that out.
No one should be blamed except him, the Almighty Master Planner Park Chanyeol. Had he talked to Ah Reum in a proper environment, she would have said yes.
The whole "I need time to decide" was just a sugarcoated version of "Nah. Don't want you on my bed anymore so fck off."
Wait, why did he even want to extend the contract?
The answer lied within his pants. Sure, Ah Reum was not the most beautiful lady he'd bedded, but she was a fast learner. Being Chanyeol, he liked fast and productive. Ah Reum did not go around calling and texting him frantically, and he liked that. It was rare to meet a woman who did not expect romance from him, so in a nutshell, Moon Ah Reum was for keeps, bed-aspect only. Sorry.
Yet she probably wouldn't extend the contract! Darn it! He thought women liked honesty. What's wrong?! Isn't Ah Reum a woman?
But the good part here was venting his frustrations on stage. In Baekhyun's words, Chanyeol performed at the Dream Concert as if he had nothing troubling him.
Stress from EXO's comeback, stress from sasaeng fans, and stress from Ms. Bed Friend did not even show on stage. Congrats.
But backstage and on the way to his place told a different story. Chanyeol remembered Baekhyun's question right after they performed Love Me Right.
"Yo, Chanyeol, do you, by chance, like Ah Reum?" Those were his best friend's exact words.
Expectedly, Chanyeol did not hesitate to answer. "Yeah. She's cool."
And then he realized that Baekhyun meant another thing. He meant like, that kind of like. He never answered Baekhyun back. Not sure, but the mere idea of liking Ah Reum made Chanyeol uneasy.
On bed, yes. But to see Ah Reum as his girl, taking care of him, cooking for him, saying sweet words to him, the thought made him cringe. Driving back to his apartment from the Dream Concert, several questions popped up, as if on cue.
