EXO SERIES: Romanticizing Park Chanyeol [PLEASE DO NOT TRANSLATE/PLAGIARIZE][I'm back :D Thank you for the nice comments ^_^ And if you're wondering, this ship's name is #CHANREUM. LET'S GO CHAPTER 2! Thank you HyunJane for the poster!] Oh and because you guys requested it, long chapter ahead :) And taking note of your comments, I decided to do an in depth narration of the characters for a better plot (hopefully, maybe?)
Chanyeol was going through another day of his dazzling celebrity life- a routine of caramel macchiato delivered to EXO's dorm, a daily dose of Instagram and the usual scolding of their Seunghwan manager nim who had a habit of slapping fangirls. Still, despite the pesky attitude of their manager, Chanyeol liked being an idol.
No, he loved being one.
In fact, he basked in the glory of being The Park Chanyeol. He was unlike his best friend, Byun Baekhyun, who loathed the celebrity life and wished to be free from pressure. Chanyeol was a stark contrast to Baekhyun, for he felt majestic being EXO's happy virus, perpetual variety show guest, resident rapper and gag maker. It was not his ego being as his reason for fancying the idol life. He simply loved being in the spotlight, and he was the one who made the decision to become a trainee.
His overly responsible self voluntarily auditioned for SM, and therefore, he made a mental vow not to leave EXO and leave without words.
For him, a contract was a contract. He respected the value of commitment and agreement. He was not the type of guy who would back out from arrangements.
Whenever Park Chanyeol promised something, he will stick to that plan, and he will get it done.
This has been Chanyeol's basic standard operating procedure for quite some time now. With the belief that he was the sole architect of his life, Chanyeol preferred to plan every single detail of his existence- from the color of his socks to the next woman he wanted on his bed.
You can call him the Master Planner Park Chanyeol. He always knew what he wanted, and he always got it.
But for today, he felt so sluggish and confined in the four walls of the fansigning event. He had been sitting for God-knows how long now, and unfortunately for him, he was aching to smoke his lungs out after the fansigning event and play his beloved League of Legends.
"How many more albums will you be signing?" Chanyeol whispered to Baekhyun who was calmly sitting beside him. Baekhyun, ever since he got a girlfriend by the name of Seul Min, had been displaying a bright, sunny disposition.
"I don't know. I'm just really excited to go home. Seul Min's cooking for me." Baekhyun answered and secretly checked his phone. Chanyeol just scoffed at the imaginary hearts on Baekhyun's eyes and prayed that the last fangirl in line would be passive, and definitely not the typical ones who asked him to sign a marriage contract.
Interestingly, when the last girl in line stood in front of Chanyeol, he first studied whether the fangirl was one of "those fans."
She was hard to read.
Chanyeol smiled at the lady and asked for her copy of the Love Me Right album. The lady, dressed in a business suit, seemed uninterested as she handed out a brown leatherette notebook full of sticky notes instead.
"Oh, so you haven't bought Love me Right yet! You should buy now, sweetiepie. But if may I ask, how long have you been listening to EXO?" Chanyeol told the lady standing in front of him. Weirdly enough, Chanyeol gave himself a pat on the back for mastering the art of fanservice.
Curtly, the lady shook her head in such a precise manner. Swing left, swing right, as if the shaking of her head was pre-calculated.
"I am not a fan." The lady straightforwardly said, eyes on Chanyeol. Her response, although quite rude from an outsider's glance, was still oddly diplomatic and honest. Observant by nature, Chanyeol noticed that the lady spoke formal Korean and refused to use shortcuts nor contractions to her speech.
Instead of using "I'm", the woman in front of him used "I am."
Chanyeol double checked whether anyone else from EXO heard the woman's comment, but apparently, no one else heard the monotonous and stiff reply of the lady. The lady folded her arm across her chest and waited for Chanyeol to finish his signature on the leatherette notebook.
Wow, okay. That was unexpected. Chanyeol thought to himself and once again, he looked at t
