In the year 2025 what many thought to be impossible became possible. A Zombie virus was created. Humans had finally become their own destruction. Plastic surgery was no longer enough for us humans. We didn’t want to just look young. We wanted to be young and live forever. Doctors began trying to create a serum that would completely stop the aging process. They should have known better than to try and play God.

Once the serum is injected into the body it completely kills aging cells as well as blood cells. People died after fifteen seconds of being injected or so the doctors thought. Only five minutes later the people who were thought to be dead began coming back to life. Their skin was a grayish color, their eyes pitch black, their minds… gone.

Instantly it was known that these people were no longer considered humans. They were classified as Zombies. They had lost all sense of humanity and lived on cravings. An unsatisfiable craving of human flesh. Once one of these creatures took a bite of someone that person would face the same fate.

It didn’t take long for the government to hire doctors to get rid of this infection but it was no use. There was no successful anti-virus. Instead another creature was created. A non-government funded doctor created another species of human, one that was resistant to the zombie virus. The solution was called The Battle.

The Battle however did not work on everyone. The solution was very select amongst it’s host. It only worked on .5% of the world’s population. At age 18 all humans are tested by being injected with a special liquid. Those who’s veins turned black but skin remained normal were the ones who could receive The Battle. Siblings who were only two and neither twins or half siblings all qualified.

The government took these select pairs of siblings and trained them to fight and kill zombies. They became government agents. They were the human’s last chance of survival. They are known as Battle Zblings.
