Two years had passed.

Mi Nyu was back in Korea, and her Japanese agency allowed her to stay in Korea for good. She will be a full-time model in her own country.

The press had interviewed her at the airport, but she just gave them less statements. Even Reporter Kim was trying his best to get the latest scoop after being duped by Tae Kyung, and after learning of the marriage a year after. (Bwahahahah!!!!)

Mi Nyu went back to the pad where Mi Nam hid her, and she stayed there to sleep. She had many things to catch up in Korea once she has energy. Anyway....

She called on her twin, but the band was in Taiwan to have their concert series. Her aunt was no longer in the dorm, as she went back to the province. She felt all alone that she decided to hit the mall to make her occupied. 

She drove her car to the mall when she saw a familiar figure buying some flowers in the flowershop. She had to stop to make sure she saw the right person.

"Eeek? Yoo He Yi?" she thought.

It was indeed Yoo He Yi. The actress just bought some flowers and got inside her car. She did not know that Mi Nyu saw her.

"Whew! That was close!" Mi Nyu thought.

Later on, she passed by a lovely cemetery, and she found it strange to be lost.

"Aish, I am lost. Eotteokhaji....????"

She just wanted to go to the mall, but it seems the roads had all been rearranged, and she ended up in the cemetery. She saw an ajeosshi visiting a tomb, and decided to ask for help, so she stepped out of the car.

She approached the ajeosshi, who had his back facing her.

"Jeogiyo, Ajeosshi," she started. "I think I am lost. Jom dowa juseyo (Please help me)."

The ajeosshi turned around and asked. 

"Who are you calling ajeosshi?"

Mi Nyu looked at the person, totally shocked.

"Shin Woo-hyung?"

Shin Woo knitted his eyes and replied. "Mi Nyu-ya?"

He looked at her in happy surprise, but he could not hide his disappointment.

"That is an insult. Do I really look like an ajeosshi?"

Mi Nyu shook her head. She felt her chest throbbing and nagging at her, that happy tears came down her eyes.

"How are you, Shin Woo-hyung? Long time no see, chingu," she said.

Shin Woo let out a sad smile and looked at the tomb. Mi Nyu stepped forward and took a look.

"Ri Ja?" she said, aghast.

Shin Woo nodded sadly.

"Waeyo?" Mi Nyu sobbed. 

She did not know that her friend had died, and she had not even grieved for her. So Shin Woo narrated to her what happened.

Flashback:

The plane landed in Singapore, and the couple went to the hotel room, which they had booked. They were totally excited to start a new life as a married couple. As Ri Ja was about to take off her wedding gown to take a bath, she suddenly collapsed, and Shin Woo panicked. The calm guy in him escaped, and he shouted for help. The other guests in the hotel and the concierge all went to him for help.

Ri Ja was rushed to the hospital via ambulance, and there, the medical team got into action for the emergency. Blood samples were taken via doctor's order, and many tests were conducted. Shin Woo was waiting outside the ER, and he cried so much that the other hospital personnel would have to restrain him to avoid wasting the medical team's precious time.

Later, when the patient was wheeled to the room, the doctor said that he will tell the diagnosis after all the tests had been confirmed. Ri Ja was asleep, and she was oxygenated. Intravenous fluids had been given. Many machines were attached, and her vital signs were monitored closely. Later, the doctor came in and said that the patient had leukemia, but Shin Woo could not even let the information sink in. As the doctor was explaining, Hyun Joong went in the room, totally shocked at the event. Coincidentally, Hyun Joong also flew to Singapore for photo shoots.

"You mean, her leukemia came back?" Hyun Joong asked the doctor. 

Shin Woo shot a glance at his hyung. He learned that Ri Ja had leukemia as a child, and she had undergone several treatments. They were confident that she had been cured, but they did not expect that her sickness would come back.

"We will do all we can to save her life," the doctor said.

Ri Ja had been in and out of the hospital for a three months for treatment. Later on, the pain was too much, and so, palliative treatment had been given to ease the symptoms because her disease was progressive and was no longer responsive to the cure.

One day, Ri Ja was playing the Rubik's cube, and Shin Woo remembered the day when Mi Nam asked him to play the cube with him. Ri Ja noticed the sadness in his eyes, so she held her hand.

"It is inevitable that I will be gone. If that will come, I want you to grieve for me, and later on, I want you to move one," Ri Ja calmly said.

"But, if ever you should die, I will not marry again. You will always be the one in my heart," Shin Woo said.

Ri Ja shook her head. "Anio... Don't say that. I know that time will come that you will fall in love again..."

But Shin Woo insisted, saying that she will always be his forever, and that he will not marry again. After a few hours of their talk, she succumbed into coma, and then, a few days later, she died. Shin Woo did his best to pay the last tributes to his wife, and promised to himself that he will no longer love somebody else.

End of Flashback:

Mi Nyu cried when he narrated. She felt really sad for the departed. But somehow, she felt she had done her part to keep her promise, that she will not do anything to steal Shin Woo. But Mi Nyu did not know that Shin Woo was hiding another secret.

Flashback:

"Don't say that you will not marry again. I just want you to know that there is still life for you after this one," RI Ja said as she consoled her husband. "We don't know, you might fall in love again with the person whom you used to love."

"Mi.. Mi Nyu-ya?" he asked in disbelief. "No, I had let her go."

"You might have let her go, but we don't know."

She told him that she found out that Mi Nyu loved him too, but that she did not get angry at her when she was supposed to. She felt that her leukemia might come back anytime, since she noticed little symptoms which she kept hidden from everyone else. Knowing that, she told Mi Nyu that the latter can love him, but that she had no right to steal him. Her reason was that, she, Ri Ja, wanted to experience love and its benefits and sweetness and not regret if in case she should die. She thought that if ever she should die, and if fate will allow, she will be willing to return him to Mi Nyu. She just wanted that Mi Nyu will give her a chance to feel how it is to fall in love and be loved by Shin Woo.

"How could you be so kind?" Shin Woo told his wife.

Ri Ja did not answer him. She answered in another way.

"I am thankful that Haneunim sent me to you, so that I can feel how it is to be loved. And maybe, Haneunim will take me away from you so that you will go back to the one that, deep inside, you forget and deny that you still really love."

Shin Woo shook his head.

"It is true that I no longer love Mi Nyu, and deep inside, I am telling the truth."

Ri Ja said. "Let's just say you are telling the truth. I believe you. But then, we don't know what Haneunim has for you..."

"I love you...." he told her.

"I love you too," she replied.

End of flashback:

He did not tell Mi Nyu this, because he was fearful. He was fearful that he would fall in love again. That day, when she had mistaken him to be an ajeosshi, he suddenly realized something.

He invited her to go with him to a spot near a lake, where they continued their conversation.

"The angel caught the person falling off the mountain, but then, the angel became a small bird, too small to carry the person. It let the person go, and flew away. You know, I remember telling you that sometimes you got to work hard for miracles to happen. Somehow, your belief convinced me."

"Eh?"

"You told me that the one in a million chance is a miracle that will come to you when you least expect it," he said.

Then, he looked at her.

"Ask me, Mi Nyu," he said.

"Mwo? Uh... then, do you believe that somewhere, someone will throw a rope for that person to catch?

Shin Woo nodded. "And this person is waiting for that rope."

Mi Nyu shed her tears and looked at him.

"You know, I had made so many promises that I had broken, and I thought it was all right now. I had always thought that Ri Ja will be my forever, but she kept on insisting that I need to live a life and love again. I thought that after her death, I will live my life alone and never fall in love again. I guess I was wrong, and that she was right. I think I found my forever..."

He looked at Mi Nyu, and she looked at him.

"...In you."

Mi Nyu burst into happy tears and hugged him tight.

"I still love you, Mi Nyu," he confessed.

"I also love you, Shin Woo...oppa," she said.

They were so happy and could not even hide their feelings anymore, that they gave in to their desires and kissed.

Mi Nyu's POV:

So that was why Ri Ja was so good to me even if she knew that she was supposed to get jealous. She knew of her terminal sickness, and she was spending her remaining years doing all the worthwhile things. She must have foreseen that Shin Woo will find forever in me.
