Story 25 || Umbrella

                Jungkook sighs, looking out the window from the inside of the movie theater. It’s pouring down rain, and Jungkook forgot to bring his umbrella. It’s not even that he forgot. He deliberately left it behind despite Jimin’s warning that it was going to rain. Jungkook was certain that it wouldn’t start until they got back home for the evening. “Maybe you’ll listen to me next time.” Jimin says as he rejoins his boyfriend after getting his last free refill on his cola. “Don’t worry, we can share.”

                Jungkook almost decides to be a smart and question if Jimin means the soda or the umbrella, but Jimin nudges him forward so that he’ll walk out of the theater. Just as they are outside, Jimin opens the umbrella, holding it over both of their heads. Jungkook is frustrated as they start walking, as the umbrella keeps hitting the top of his head. “Hyung,” He complains, taking the umbrella from Jimin’s hand. “Really, why are you so short?”

                Now that Jimin has one free hand, Jungkook also takes the advantage to intertwine their fingers at they walk. “Kookie,” Jimin whines, a cute shade of pink coming over his cheeks. Jungkook smiles. “Why are you so mean?”

                Jungkook smirks, deciding to ignore that comment. He abruptly stops walking, forcing Jimin to look at him. “You know something I’ve always wanted to do?” He asks as he steps forward, backing Jimin into the outer wall of the brick building. Jimin looks up at Jungkook, his lips like he knows what’s coming. “Kiss you under the rain. I’ve heard it’s romantic.” Jungkook says as pulls Jimin up for a kiss. It’s sweet and gentle, and it lasts for at least twenty seconds.

                “Um, I don’t think it counts if there’s an umbrella.” Jimin says as Jungkook pulls away.

                “Shut up. That was special.” Jungkook asserts. “You were the one who brought the damn umbrella, anyway.”

Author's Note || Hello! It was raining a couple of days ago, and I took down a note to write a story about kissing under the rain. I wasn't going to make it Jikook originally, but when I came up with the whole plan, I couldn't resist. It had to be Jikook. So. Here is Jikook. Kissing under the rain.
