Story 17 | I Love You, Too

He couldn't just come right out and say it. He could tell that it was killing JungKook to not hear it back, even after a few days. JungKook must have told him when he was really feeling that it was the right time. JiMin couldn't say it back so easily. It was too easy to say "I love you, too" after the other said it the first time. JiMin didn't want it to be easy. It had to be special. It had to mean something. JungKook is special. JungKook means something. If he was going to say it back, he wanted to do so in a way that JungKook deserved to hear it.

After spending a few days thinking of a sweet and romantic way to tell JungKook that he loves him also and coming up short, JiMin decided that he would just tell him simply. He showed up at the cafe just at the time JungKook was supposed to be getting off work. He was coming to pick him up as he had promised he would. When he entered the cafe, he could see JungKook standing in front of the counter, leaning against it as he was conversing with SeokJin. JiMin walked up to his boyfriend, slowly and quietly, hoping thath JungKook wouldn't notice. SeokJin did, but he could tell that he was trying to surprise JungKook, so he made no mention of Jimin. Once JiMin was stand next to JungKook, he brought his face close to the younger's ear. "I love you, too." He said softly, but loud enough that he was sure SeokJin hear it too.

JungKook jumped, surprised to have JiMin's face so close to his. "What?" JungKook asked, looking at JiMin.

"You said it first." JiMin spoke. "And now I'm saying it back. I love you, too. Jeon JungKook."

A wide smile found it's way onto JungKook's face as he pulled JiMin into a hug. Once JiMin wriggled himself free, JungKook stole his lips in a sweet kiss. "Really, hyung." JungKook said, looking down at the shorter one. "I love you."
