She always shone on stage no matter what she did. She was a star I thought I could never reach. Until she proved me wrong.

Seunghyun called me out of the blue. It wasn't like him to call me first.
“Choi Seunghyun, are you in trouble?” I answered my phone
“Yah! What do you take me for?” he replied
“I'm just kidding. What's up?”
“Are you free tonight?”
I was already in bed, ready to sleep. It is already 9PM. What could he possibly be up to?
“Yeah,”
“Good because I'm outside your house,”
“What?”
I sat up immediately and looked out the window.
“Choi Seunghyun!” I shouted
“Live a little, won't you?” he chuckled before hanging up.
I hurriedly went downstairs to go to him. I wonder if he got into another fight with his girlfriend.
“Man, what are you doing in your pajamas already?” was the first thing he said when I opened the door
“You know how tiring our life is. I like resting during free time naturally,”
“Go change. Let's go out,” he welcomed himself inside
“You don't have any schedule tomorrow?”I asked him as I closed the door
“Nope,” he replied as he plopped down on the couch, “Hurry up. The girls are waiting,”
“The girls?”
“Bom and I were suppose to go out with just us two but she invited Dara too,”
“So that's why you're bringing me along,” I glared at him
“Come on. It's not like we're going to party. We'll just have a late dinner, talk, enjoy each other's company,”
“Fine. Let me get dressed,”
“I knew you wouldn't fight me on it,” he snickered
“What's that mean?”
“Kim Jaejoong, I could have went to Yoochun but I came to you. I know you're interested in Dara,”
“Shut up.”
I feel like I'm in high school all over again, being nervous over a girl. She's my junior in the industry. I should show more confidence even if I have to fake it. I took a deep breath before entering the exclusive restaurant.
“There you are!” yelled Bom
Dara turned her head to face us and greeted us with a warm smile and nod.
“Did you order already?” Seunghyun darted to his girlfriend forgetting I'm with him
He placed a kiss on the top of her head the moment he got close to her before sitting down. The only spot left was next to Dara, across from Seunghyun.
“And oh, I know you both already know who this is,” he pointed at me while I slowly sat downstairs
“Nice to meet you both,” I bowed
“Eh, we should be the ones bowing,” Bom said
“Nice to meet you,” Dara bowed
“This is nice,” Bom clapped her hands together.
I noticed Seunghyun gave her some kind of warning look which made her stop talking.
“Dara and I ordered already.”
Bom talked comfortably while Dara was quiet. She would listen intently and nod once in awhile in agreement. She is more talkative in shows than in real life, or is it because of my presence? Is it possible that I make her nervous too?

She's the closest thing to perfection, I thought as I stared at her while she slept. My Sandara.

I was waiting outside their waiting room, not wanting to be a disturbance. After a few minutes of my arrival, the door to their waiting room opened. She beamed just like the sun as she welcomed me inside.
“Pretend we're not here at all,” Bom giggled
The rest of 2NE1 turned around to somehow give Dara and I space.
“Good luck on stage,” I told her
“You came all the way here just to say that,” she blushed
“And to see you up close, of course. I won't get to go near my baby on stage. I have to be in disguise in the crowd. You know how netizens are,” I pinched her cheeks
“I know,” she frowned
“Don't be sad. At least we have this time together,” I pulled her into an embrace, “And stolen days to come,” I whispered in her ear
She hugged me tighter making me not want to let go of her. I planted a kiss on the top of her head before releasing her from my embrace.
“I'll be watching,” I gave her a wink
“I know,” she said this time with a smile
“Next time, it's your turn to watch me in my concert,” I reminded her
“I'll bring Durami with me too,”
“That'd be great. Now go out there and break a leg,”
“Bye,” she squeezed my hand
I didn't want to say that word. Every time those words left our lips, it meant it would take months again before we'd see each other face to face. Instead of replyng with words, I kissed her on the hand that was holding on to mine.

We've gone through so much ups and downs throughout the years. The toughest year being the year we were exposed to the world.

I found Dara curled into a ball on her bed. It was a sight I never wanted to see. I slowly approached her. My hands trembled as I pulled her close to my chest. I let her feel the emotions she was feeling. I know no words could cheer her up.
“They hate me,” she cried, “They don't want us together,”
“But I do,” I told her as I caressed her hair
“You still do?” she looked up to me with her puffy eyes
“More than anything. I want us to be together today, tomorrow, next month, next year. For the rest of my life, Dara,”
“Even if it's hard?”
“Even if it is like hell. I'd rather be with you than not with you at all,”
“Oh, Kim Jaejoong.”
The next thing I knew, her lips were on mine. Who was I to deny her what she wanted?

But it has all been worth it. I get to lay by the most beautiful woman in the world every night, and wake up to it too. I get to spend the rest of my life with her. Til death do us part, our vows said.
“Good morning,” she finally woke up
“Good morning,”
“How long have you been awake?” she asked
“Not that long,”
“I should go cook breakfast,” she said
“No need,” I stopped her from getting up
“Did you cook for me?” she sounded ecstatic
“Nope,” I shook my head
“Then I need to go cook,” she frowned
“It's so early in the morning for my baby to be frowning.”
I softened her eyebrows and kissed her on the lips.
“You're messing around,” she pouted this time
“No, I'm not.”
And as if on cue, they came.
“Mommy! We prepared breakfast,” our twins barged in the room with two trays at hand
“How sweet,” Dara cooed.
I immediately stood up to help our son and daughter with their trays. I grabbed both of the trays as Miran got on the bed while Dongwoon set up the mini table on the bed.
“Happy birthday!” the three of us chorused
“Thank you!”
Tears were starting to form in my wife's eyes.
“Tissue, here,” Dongwoon put out
“We knew mommy would cry,”
Dara and I ended up laughing. Our kids sure know their mom well.
“I love you all,” Dara said, “Now come here and give me a hug.”
She opened her arms and we gladly followed her order.
“To you,” I told her before kissing her forehead
She looked at me with affectionate, loving eyes.
“To us.”
I feel TERRIBLE. I completely forgot about AFF due to university ;; It's been too busy. I will finish it eventually!
