Raindrops were falling aggressively that day. Chanyeol remembers it clearly.

He was stuck at university because he had no umbrella. He decided to stay in the piano room so that he could play music while waiting for the rain to stop. His mood was in sync with the weather, gloomy, depressing, etc. His girlfriend of 1 year, Kim Hyerin, broke up with him two weeks ago, but he was still slightly hung over her. Of course, he was. He dedicated one whole year to her, to them.

Chanyeol let his fingers play with the piano keys. It had been awhile since he created new music. He was thinking of putting his misery into songs. It would somehow be productive, rather than just sulking.

“You once gave me great joy,

but now all I feel is excruciating pain.

I never saw it coming,

the day you would leave me~”

Chanyeol was letting all his feelings out. It was unhealthy to never talk about it. He was immersed in playing his newly composed song, when someone barged in the room. Chanyeol was shocked and stopped playing.

“I'm sorry,” the girl bowed 90 degrees

“Umm, it's fine,”

“I heard beautiful music playing in here so I got curious, but I accidentally tripped on the broken tile outside which well, landed me here. Sorry if I disturbed you,” she was beautiful.

Chanyeol couldn't stop staring at the girl. He had never seen her before in the campus. Is she a new student? A transferee? Questions were filling up Chanyeol's mind.

“I don't mind,” he found his words

“Is it okay if I stay here? The rain is still pouring and I have no umbrella,” she explained.

Fate was playing its game with the two.

“Go ahead. I don't really own this room,”

“Don't mind me. Go ahead and keep playing,” she flashed him a smile

Chanyeol was taken aback by her smile. Could anyone ever beat that smile? He wondered. What is wrong with me? I don't even know her!

“Are you new to the school?” he asked

She walked to the far part of the room to sit down on one of the student chairs.

“No, I am not,”

“I've never seen you around,” Chanyeol stayed on his spot but turned to face her

“I'm not a student,”

“Oh, you're visiting?”

“I'm done with university,”

“What?”

“I'm older than I seem,” she laughed

“Huh?”

“I have a younger brother that attends here, but he still has class. I got his schedule messed up. I was planning to just come back later, but it started raining,”

“What's your brother's name?” now Chanyeol was curious

“Park Sanghyun,”

“Sanghyun hyung?!”

“Oh, you know him?”

“Yeah. Are you Durami noona?”

She has to be Durami! He was talking to himself.

“No, I'm Dara,” she corrected him

“You're his Dara noona? But that would mean you're six years older---”

Chanyeol was stunned. This was Sanghyun's noona! She didn't even look like she was older than Sanghyun or him for the matter.

“Sanghyun gives out my age to random people huh.”

Chanyeol didn't hear Dara. He was standing up making his way to her. She's 30 years old, he kept repeating in his head. He sat next to her with eyes wide open.

“You have to be Durami,”

“I think I would know who I am,” Dara giggled

“You are so youthful and excuse me, but gorgeous.”

Chanyeol was in a whole different world. He couldn't get over the fact that this beautiful lady in front of him was way older than him.

“This dongsaeng is easily amused,” she was talking about Chanyeol

“I'm sorry for talking to you so casually,” Chanyeol came back to reality

“It's fine. So what's your name?”

“I'm Park Chanyeol,” he slightly bowed

“Aigoo, don't bow,” Dara touched his shoulder

Chanyeol felt a spark when she touched him.

“It's nice to meet you, Park Chanyeol,” Dara offered him a handshake

He looked at her hand and her face, back and forth. He didn't know why he was acting so weird.

“Well?” she urged him to shake her hand

“Nice to meet you too, Dara noona,” he gladly took it

“Yah, Chanyeol, what are you and noona doing?” Sanghyun was leaning against the doorway

“You didn't tell me you had such a cute friend,” Dara stood up.

Chanyeol blushed at Dara's statement.

“Yah, don't even,” Sanghyun marched towards his noona and put his arm around her shoulder

“Bye, Chanyeol-sshi,” Dara turned her head to catch a last glimpse of him

He slightly waved, still taking in his system that she called him cute.

It was the day Park Chanyeol met the love of his life. It was a gloomy day that was turned around.
