Pairing | NamDara

Author’s Note.

I tried to reach out to chanyixinglover many times but received no reply. So I am posting this long overdue NamDara fic in hopes that it still satisfies you NamDara shippers. Also sorry for the long wait. I was confined in the hospital for four days right when I was going to update. I started the YG x Dara request and stopped midway.

Dashing through the snow
In a one-horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bobtail ring'
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing

Jingle all the way.

Christmas songs were still playing in Winner’s dorm although two days had passed since Christmas.Mino was singing with so much enthusiasm, along with Seungyoon and Seunghoon.The three were arranging their dinner on the table. Jinwoo and Taehyun were cleanung up the living room for the nth time. They wanted to make sure that their dorm was spotless clean for their visitors. 

“When are they coming?” Seunghoon asked Seungyoon

“It’s not even 7 yet, calm down,” the leader replied

“I’m just excited,”

“It’s not like it is the first time,” Mino sat down on one of the high chairs

“But they’re still our sunbaes,” reasoned Seunghoon

“So hyung to be nervous,” Taehyun entered the kitchen

“As if you’re not,” Seunghoon gave him a look

“I’m not,” denied Taehyun.

He was possibly the most nervous out of all five. They all prepared a a dish for tonight, and they had exchange gift ready. He was hoping 2NE1 would like what they've prepared, but he was particularly concerned about what Dara would think. And of course, he pulled Dara out of the Santa hat. 

“One more minute,” Jinwoo was staring at the clock

“You guys have no chill,” laughed Mino.

But as soon as they heard a knock on their door, all five ran to the door.

“You obviously have no chill either,” Taehyun smirked.

The five looked at each other's outfits before all nodding a nod of approval. Seungyoon then opened the door.

"Merry Christmas!" Bom and Dara chorused as they held out a basket of fruits, with Minzy and CL behind them. Jinwoo took the basket from them. 

“Merry Christmas,” the boys greeted back, “Come in,” they invited them

“Wow, you boys sure decorated,” Bom complimented their decor

“It’s only once a year so why not we thought,” answered Seunghoon

“Very nice,” CL agreed

“Please have a seat,” Seungyoon told them

“Noona, I’ll take care of your coat,” Taehyun was assisting Dara

“Thank you, Taehyun,” she gave him a smile

That smile is enough for a gift, he was thinking

“You guys have more Christmas spirit than us,” Minzy was at awe

“We just had more time in our hands,” said Seungyoon

“So, should we eat first?” asked Mino

“This boy,” CL laughed

“What?” he scratched the back of his head

“We should. We are kind of hungry,” Bom was holding on to her stomach

“That’s because you starved yourself the whole day,” laughed Dara

“Why would you do that, noona?” asked Seunghoon

"She wanted to be able to eat a lot of your guys' food since you said you'd cook," Dara spilled Bom's secret earning her a death glare from Bom

“How sweet,” winked Seunghoon

“Well we prepared a lot,” Jinwoo said, “We’ll go get the food.” 

He hurried over to the kitchen with Seunghoon while the other boys fixed the living room in order for everyone to have a seat. Taehyun gladly took a spot next to his Dara noona. Mino was side-eyeing him since he also wanted the spot next to Dara. 

Once all the food was laid out at the table, they began to eat. The Winner boys did not hold back for this event.

"This is like a feast," Dara said while nibbling on her food

"Is it delicious, noona?" Taehyun couldn't help but ask

"Of course! It's the best," she gave him a thumbs up 

"Thank you," he sightly bowed

"We worked really hard," Mino joined in the conversation

"We're glad you like it, noona," Jinwoo said

"Why is nobody asking if we like it?" pouted Bom

"How do you like the food we've prepared for you, noona?" asked Seunghoon

"It's always this boy," she pointed out

"Do you not like me, noona?" Seunghoon wriggled his eyebrows

"Aigoo~" Bom shook her head

"She loves the food," Minzy answered for Bom while giggling

"She just wants the same attention that you are giving Dara unnie," CL was also amused

Dara stood up to everyone's surprise. She was holding out her wine glass.

"Cheers!" she suddenly exclaimed

"Did you put something in Dara noona's glass?" Mino glared at Taehyun

"No," Taehyun vigorously shook his head

"He didn't. I'm just really happy. To Winner, to 2NE1. To friendship!" Dara cheered

Taehyun couldn't help but smile at Dara's actions. He was happy that she was happy even if it's due to a small gathering. Noona really has a big heart. That's why I like her so much. 

"Cheers!" The rest of 2NE1 stood up and so the boys did as well, "Cheers!" everybody shouted.

They all broke out into laughter and joy filled the room. Dara was especially overjoyed. She loved gatherings with friends. Her heart was touched by Winner's simple gesture. 

"So happy to be with you all," she said while facing Taehyun

"So am I," he replied

"Merry Christmas, Taehyun. Merry Christmas," Dara suddenly initiated a hug which Taehyun gladly took

"Merry Christmas, noona," he closed his eyes as he embraced her

This is the best Christmas gift I could ever receive, thought Taehyun, Dara noona initiating a hug. And Winner, of course.

"Hey, us too!" Mino exclaimed joining in the NamDara hug.

The next thing you know, it was a huge group hug among 2NE1 and Winner members. Then everyone was hugging each other one by one.

"I hope we spend many more Christmas together like this," Taehyun said aloud

"Aww, the usually cold maknae is being sweet tonight. How rare~" cooed Seunghoon

"It's the Christmas spirit!" stated Mino

"Oh what the heck, I love you guys!" Taehyun laughed.

Everyone laughed once more before taking their seats and continuing their gathering's program. The night was still young and even though the exchange of gifts hadn't occured yet, it felt like they already exhanged their gifts to each other. The gift of friendship.
