Happy New Year.
Cheshire#Special NonAU Drabble
Note: Hey, guys! This is very, very short and fluffly with my three favorite pairings and metion of some other idols. I will start updating next year again, don't worry. I hope all of you had a great Christmas, I'm very sorry I couldn't give you a drabble for that day but I tried to make it up with this and my best wishes for everyone this New Year, that all of your dreams and aspirations come true this upcoming year! Let's be better than yesterday!
Summary: Everyone wants someone to kiss when the clock strikes twelve.
After such a great year, it was the first time the VIXX members wouldn’t spend Christmas or New Year’s with their families but doing music shows, interviews and filming all the shows and dramas needed for the beginning of the next year. Also, it meant that it was the first time they were invited to the party where all the groups gathered to celebrate, being able to be themselves with no cameras or media around.
“Oh my God!” a very high pitched voice greeted them as soon as they entered the hall from the huge penthouse the SM artists rented for the event, “You came!” HakYeon was the first one to hug EunKwang with a big smile.
“You said that as if it was something surprising,” SangHyuk complained while wrapping his arms around SungJae, “is every idol coming or something?”
“Well, yeah, where else would they be? Locked in their dorms alone during this day?” SungJae arched his brows in a sympathetic way, “It’s better than not having anyone around,” he couldn’t help the smile that appeared when he saw TaekWoon obviously glaring at them.
HongBin saw YoungJi with some of the GOT7 members not far so he went to say hi along with Ravi who spotted TaeMin and Kai. JaeHwan pouted for a minute watching the rapper happily chatting with his two friends when a tap on his shoulder made him turn around to face DoHee who grinned at him. TaekWoon was suddenly hugged by SoJin which startled him, earning a giggle fit from her and decided to speak with her for a while.

The clock struck eleven-thirty and shocked everyone out, as if everyone had someone they should be with instead, so most of them moved around, saying quick hellos and goodbyes, promises to see each other more during the New Year.
JaeHwan stood up from the bar counter, looking around the crowd of blonde heads for his blonde, quite distressed because the minutes kept running out and he wanted to start the year with something special, just like everyone else. He bowed to some of the older and younger idols when a pair of strong arms hugged his middle, pulling him to a corner of the place just as the started. WonSik smiled at him, leaning down to press their lips together as JaeHwan’s arms draped over his neck.
HongBin had found HakYeon minutes earlier because that’s just how he is, always cautious; he had to make sure to be near the person he loved. HakYeon was snuggled up to his side on one of the many couches, his hand playing with the visual’s fingers absentmindedly, as they waited for the usual countdown. The leader looked up, a warm smile on his lips, before he tilted his head towards the free hand that his lover used to caress his cheek.
“I’m sorry,” HongBin whispered next to his ear.
“What for?” HakYeon frowned slightly, foreheads against one another.
“For…everything I’ve said and done to you,” HakYeon’s eyes softened, just like they did every time they saw him, “your skin is the prettiest.”
“Idiot,” he mumbled, his lips finding HongBin’s, covering them completely, in a successful attempt of cutting any possible response, because the last was about to sound, “Happy New Year.”
TaekWoon was supported on the balcony’s railing, watching his breath form smoke every time he exhaled, he rather enjoyed being outside, in peace, than inside with all the sound and people. Yeah, there were a couple of couples there but not a mass of bodies; he wished he could be more like his boyfriend. He felt warm surrounding his icy hand, his gaze instinctively shifted to the person next to him, who stared back amused. SangHyuk’s attention was suddenly taken by the fireworks that started, mouth falling a bit open as he stared amazed at the flourishing colors, TaekWoon wasn’t able to take his eyes off the younger because not even the sky lighting up could beat his beauty.
“What?” SangHyuk asked with a satisfied smirk, “You’re missing the show.”
“I don’t mind,” his soft voice was barely audible but the maknae was so used to it that he could make out his words.
They let the pass them by, one by one, lost in each other’s presence. Once the last one resounded, SangHyuk inched closer, mouthing an “I love you” above his lips. They kissed even when everyone else was again going crazy inside, even if the last year was tiring enough for them to feel like quitting sometimes, even if they weren’t together for the next, they only needed each other at the moment.
